Pelatihan Teknik Mendongeng untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa TK Kartini Biru
One of the language activities is speaking skills. A person is said to be proficient in language if they master a large vocabulary. The vocabulary is obtained from when we start to speak at the age of 1 year until adulthood. For early childhood, vocabulary is obtained from what they see and hear. To increase children\u27s vocabulary and improve their speaking skills, teachers are able to use the right techniques in learning. One of the right techniques is the storytelling technique. By telling stories, students will find it easier to get new vocabulary and can speak fluently. The fairy tale can be packaged well by teachers in teaching and learning activities. The themes raised can be stories about local wisdom of the Lampung region or national stories. The media can use hand puppets or interesting pictures. For this reason, training is needed on the use of storytelling techniques for students\u27 speaking skills at Kartini Biru Kindergarten. This activity was held on April 2025. This activity lasted for 1 day, starting at 08.00 to 15.00. The participants of this activity were Kartini Biru Kindergarten teachers

Instincts Unleashed: A Cognitive Stylistic Analysis of Maroon 5’s Song “Animal”
This study explores the cognitive stylistic features of Maroon 5’s song “Animal” through the lens of conceptual metaphor theory and schema theory. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, the research examines the interplay between metaphorical language and cognitive processes to uncover how figurative expressions evoke imagery, emotions, and conceptual mappings related to primal instincts and desire. The analysis focuses on identifying metaphorical expressions such as hunting and predation, interpreting their cognitive and emotional resonance. The findings reveal that metaphors and vivid imagery in the song not only depict themes of obsession and vulnerability but also activate cognitive schemas, connecting listeners to the raw, instinctual aspects of human nature. This study contributes to the field of cognitive stylistics by providing insights into how language interacts with cognition to construct meaning and elicit emotional responses in artistic texts
The Use of Animated Video Media in Teaching Fairy Tales to Lower Grade Students at MI Ma’arif NU 01 Kajongan
The use of fairy tale materials in Indonesian language instruction is aimed at achieving predetermined competency standards. To meet these standards, a solid understanding of theoretical concepts is essential. The Implementation of Differentiated Instruction Integrated With Technology in English Class
The implementation of differentiated instruction is the focus of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia, especially when integrated with technology. The aim is to adapt education to the needs, abilities, and interests of each student. This study explores how English teachers at SMK Negeri 3 Denpasar implement differentiated instruction integrated with technology in the classroom and how this affects students\u27 beliefs in learning English. The method approach used in this study is a mixed-method approach, where qualitative data were collected through classroom observations, while quantitative data were collected through student questionnaires adapted from Horwitz\u27s BALLI framework. The observation results showed that teachers differentiated content, process, and product based on student profiles and learning contexts. As a support for various learning strategies, this study integrated technological tools such as WhatsApp, Google Translate, Quizizz, and Canva. The questionnaire results showed that students had very high beliefs in their language learning abilities when faced with differentiated instruction supported by technology. These findings indicate that the learning model increased students\u27 motivation and self-perception in learning English. This study highlights the importance of teacher adaptability and strategic use of technology to foster a student-centered learning environment that is aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum
The Influence of Metacognitive Strategies and Critical Thinking Skills on the Reading Comprehension of Eighth-Grade Students
This study investigates the influence of metacognitive strategies and critical thinking skills on reading comprehension among eighth-grade students at MTsN 6 Kampar. The research addresses students’ difficulties in identifying main ideas, making inferences, and applying reading strategies, which contribute to low comprehension levels. A quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis was employed, involving 60 students selected through random sampling. Data were collected using reading comprehension tests, a metacognitive strategies questionnaire, and a critical thinking skills test. The results revealed that both metacognitive strategies and critical thinking skills significantly influenced reading comprehension individually and simultaneously. Students who effectively applied metacognitive strategies and demonstrated higher critical thinking skills achieved better reading comprehension scores. The findings underscore the importance of integrating these skills into instructional practices to foster independent, reflective, and strategic readers. Future research is recommended to explore similar approaches in different educational contexts and with larger samples to validate the findings
English Teachers’ Acceptance of Artificial Intelligence in SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja: A Phenomenological Study
The implementation of AI in schools remains inconsistent, with many teachers showing awareness but limited classroom application. This study aims to explore English teachers’ acceptance of AI at SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja by applying the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), focusing on the constructs of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and researcher field notes involving four English teachers representing both Digital Native and Digital Transmigrant generations. Thematic analysis revealed that teachers perceive AI as beneficial for lesson preparation, assessment design, and instructional efficiency, with Digital Natives demonstrating greater fluency and confidence compared to Digital Transmigrants, who required more training and institutional support. Despite infrastructural limitations, teachers exhibited positive attitudes and strong intentions to integrate AI, viewing it as a pedagogical partner rather than a replacement for educators. In this study, teachers’ acceptance of AI is primarily shaped by its perceived usefulness, ease of use, and institutional support, suggesting that ongoing professional training and adequate facilities are vital to sustain effective AI integration in future English educatio
The Correlation Between EFL Students’ Big Five Personality Traits and Their Writing Skills at Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School
This study aimed to examine the relationship between the Big Five personality traits and students’ writing skills, as well as to identify which personality dimension has the strongest correlation with writing skill. The research was conducted with 59 tenth-grade students of Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School in Indonesia. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. The Big Five Inventory (BFI) was used to measure students’ personality traits, while the writing skill was assessed through a personal recount writing test. The results indicated that there was a low to moderate positive and statistically significant correlation between the Big Five personality traits and students’ writing skills (r = 0.336, p = 0.009). Among the five dimensions, Openness showed a moderate positive and significant correlation (r = 0.470, p = 0.000), followed by a weaker but significant correlation with Conscientiousness (r = 0.338, p = 0.009). Meanwhile, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism demonstrated weak or nonsignificant correlations. These findings suggest that the Big Five personality traits show a positive relationship with writing skill, and Openness displaying the strongest correlation
