The Influence of Attitudes, Safety, and Quality on Interest in Subscribing Halal Cosmetic Products
Get PDFPurpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of consumer attitudes, safety, and product quality on interest in subscribing to halal cosmetic products, with a focus on generation Z considering the trend and public awareness of halal products, especially cosmetics, is increasing every year.Design/Method/Approach:Â This study uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire as an instrument to collect primary data from 108 generation Z respondents who have used halal cosmetic products in Riau Province, and applies Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM - PLS) analysis techniques.Findings:Â This study uses a quantitative approach with a questionnaire to collect data from 108 generation Z respondents in Riau Province who use halal cosmetic products, and applies SEM-PLS for data analysis. The results show that generation Z consumer attitudes and product quality have a positive and significant influence on the interest in subscribing to halal cosmetic products with coefficient values of 0.430 and 0.439, respectivelyOriginality/Values: These findings provide important insights for the halal cosmetics industry in designing more effective marketing strategies to meet the needs of generation Z consumers who are increasingly concerned about halal products, as well as to expand market share in this industry
Increasing Nagari Syariah Bank Customer Satisfaction Through Easy Transactions
Get PDFPurpose: The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between facility conditions and customer convenience in transactions with customer satisfaction at Bank Nagari Syariah. This is based on the fact that although the facilities and infrastructure at the Bank are still inadequate, the number of assets and pooled funds from the public at Bank Nagari Syariah continues to increase.

Originality/Values: This study shows that even though the facilities of several Bank Nagari Sub Branches are not very adequate However, customer satisfaction is still high with Bank Nagari Syariah. This could be because customers are given various conveniences in carrying out transactions, namely through digital e-banking applications, so that the condition of office facilities does not really affect customer satisfaction
Male Social Constructions in the Novel Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu
Get PDFGender is a social construction through which individuals relate to their social environment. The social construction of gender dictates the masculine and feminine roles deemed appropriate within a society. The study aims to explore how Wu's character in the novel Interior Chinatown and his interactions sheds light on the challenges faced by Asian Americans in navigating their cultural heritage within a predominantly white society. The research method used in this study is qualitative research. Specifically, the study uses descriptive research primarily focusing on describing the characteristics of the main character. The research method involves collecting and analyzing data showing the forms of social constructions and the impact on Wu’s personality based on Burr’s masculinity theory. In the technique for collecting data, the researchers read the novel, then underline and write the dialogue contained the social construction in the novel, and the last collect the data of sentence that have been underlined. For the technique for analyzing data, the researchers classify and categorize the data scenes also dialogue that show the social construction and its impact of Willis Wu’s personality based on Burr’s perspective. The results of this study include the forms of social constructions contained in the novel Interior Chinatown consist of two types, namely social construction caused by race and media. Meanwhile, the impacts of social constructions on Willis Wu’s personality are included two types; frustration and ambition. The researchers conclude that social construction plays a significant role in shaping individuals' lives and opportunities
Improving Students Academic Writing Quality by Using ICT Online Tools at English Tadris Study Program in IAIN Curup
Get PDFThe complexities of academic writing need the efficient use of ICT tools to assist English students in writing. The current study focused on the above discussion. The purpose of this study was to investigate the usage of ICT tools for English academic writing, as well as their usefulness. 50 students from IAIN Curup's English department were recruited to participate. This study's data were gathered using an explanatory sequential mixed-method design via questionnaires, interviews, and student artifacts. Data were examined using both quantitative and qualitative criteria. In terms of ICT tools, this study discovered that students used a variety of online resources to improve the quality of their academic writing, including citation tools, search engines, editing tools, translation tools, monolingual and bilingual dictionaries, and a bilingual concordancer. In terms of the usefulness of ICT tools, this study discovered that online resources benefited students in a variety of ways when conducting their English academic writing assignments. As a result, using editing software, students were able to maintain proper grammar and sentence flow. The translation tool was another great resource that enabled students to broaden their vocabulary in order to speak successfully in a range of situations and registers. Students can learn more by utilizing search engines on their own. They could uncover statistics to back up their writing. In a nutshell, the use of digital tools improved the quality of students' English academic writing
Asssesing the Students' Needs on the Use of E Modules in Learning English at High Schools
No full textThis study aims to analyze the extent of students' needs for the use of e-modules in English subjects at high schools. Analyzing students' needs for learning media is a process carried out to identify the needs and characteristics of individual students to develop appropriate learning programs by utilizing suitable learning media. In analyzing students' needs for learning media, it is important to consider various factors, such as the most effective and efficient type of learning media to achieve learning goals, students' interests and preferences for learning media, and students' technological abilities. This research is quantitative and was conducted in 2023. The study sample consisted of students from three high schools in West Sumatra. The research instrument was a questionnaire consisting of 42 statements to analyze students' needs, covering three main aspects: (1) Necessities: Language aspects that students must master, (2) Lacks: Language aspects that students have and have not mastered, (3) Wants: Language aspects that students want to learn. The questionnaire used a Likert scale with four response categories: very needed, needed, not needed, and very not needed. Data were analyzed using the class interval technique to categorize the results. The findings revealed that English language skills are highly needed by students, and they are eager to master them. Additionally, English learning media is considered essential by students to support their learning process. The types of learning media students desire include: (1) Electronic learning media that can improve English language skills, (2) Media that utilizes audio-visual elements, (3) Media that is flexible, accessible anytime and anywhere. These results emphasize the importance of developing learning media that aligns with students' needs and preferences to enhance the effectiveness of English learning in high schools

No full textThis research aims to describe the implementation stages of individual counseling using a behavioral approach for perpetrators of sexual violence at the UPTD PKS Insan Berguna, Lampung Province Social Service. Children involved in sexual violence need a more advanced approach, such as through guidance and counseling that focuses on recovery. Individual counseling is effective because it involves direct interaction between the counselor and the client, allowing the counselor to pay more in-depth attention to the problems faced by the client. The method used in this research is a field research method. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained in this research show that individual counseling with a behavioral approach has an effect on changing clients' good behavior. The main focus of this research is to describe the behavior patterns of these children, as well as the changes that occur in the rehabilitation process carried out at that place. Researchers also try to explain how a counseling process based on a behavioral approach can help these children identify and change their behavior patterns to be more positive. And clients are starting to realize the impact of their bad habits and are actively working to change them. After attending this counseling, the three clients realized their mistakes and will now try to change for the better. Individual counseling with a behavioral approach shows effectiveness in dealing with behavioral problems, but also emphasizes that self-awareness is an important first step in efforts to improve lifestyle. Furthermore, the behavioral changes achieved by clients during the counseling process provide hope that this kind of intervention can contribute to a sustainable improvement in their quality of life
Optimizing Guidance and Counseling Services to Address The Impact of Gadget Use on Elementary School Students' Social Skills
No full textChildren today spend more time playing with their gadgets than with other people in their immediate environment. This phenomenon can lead to problematic interpersonal and communicative skills that cause children to distance themselves from social life, which can lead to antisocial behavior. The problems caused are contrary to the dimensions of psychological well-being, that positive relationships with others and control over the environment. Guidance and counseling services can act as a solution to optimize social skills in children. The research conducted examines the ability of social interaction of children who use gadget, and the efforts of classroom teachers to provide guidance and counseling services to develop positive social skills in students at school. The research approach used is qualitative with the research design used is a case study at SDN 1 Sukagalih and SDN 1 Cikedokan. The research instruments were interview guide, observation guide, questionnaire and records of activities at school. The results showed that the ability of social interaction was in the enough category and the class teacher has an important role in guidance because the class teacher has more time than other teachers and has the obligation to shape the personality of students in accordance with values and morals to improve the students' character. Based on research findings and literature studies on the role of guidance and counseling services in optimizing social skills can be arranged by considering the principles of intervention, classroom conditioning, emotional relationships between teachers and children, and teacher characteristics. The service is implemented by the classroom teacher and integrated into the school program

No full textThis study provides a solution because students have low learning motivation in Akidah Akhlak subjects and lack of interpersonal communication skills. This study aims to see how AI-assisted Canva Media has an influence or not on interpersonal communication skills and learning motivation of grade V students at MIN 1 Sidoarjo. The method used is quantitative method with quasi-experimental type and Noneqeuivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Questionnaires were given as pretest and posttest for data collection. In this study, grade V-A students were used as the experimental group and grade V-B students were used as the control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. Descriptive statistical analysis, partial t test, and simultaneous F test were used to analyse the data. The results showed that there was an effect of AI-assisted Canva Media with Interpersonal Communication Skills, a two-tailed Sig value of 0.001, and a two-tailed Sig value of 0.001, respectively showing the effect of AI-assisted Canva Media with learning motivation and both. As a result, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted

Dalam penelitian ini tujuan utamanya mengetahui urgensi kemas ulang informasi di era digital dalam pengembangan koleksi di perpustakaan, dengan menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan kajian pustaka. Penelitian pustaka merupakan kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan buku, artikel dengan cara membaca dan mencatat serta mengelola bahan penelitian yang memanfaatkan teori dan konsep yang ada untuk menghasilkan data dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan perlu melakukan inovasi pengembangan koleksi untuk terus mempertahankan eksistensi perpustakaan pada era digital dan meningkatkan mutu layanan yang disediakan dengan mengikuti perilaku masyarakat. Not that those researches are unnecesarry, but the adoption of Information Technology has diminished the role of library in the cultural context, especially in its research topics. Humanities-based approach on Library and Information Science researches have reduced dramatically in its quantity for decades considering that earlier researches of Library and Information area its in humanities. This research focuses on applying Discourse Analysis especially that of Teun Van Djik’s into Library and information science research. The paper uses qualitative method using descriptive approach. This paper finds that there are saveral topics that can be investigated and analysed by DA namely: 1) Analysing library-based policies (eg. Colection development policy). 2 Analysing certain library policies on library users, and lasty 3) analysing news on library or/and library information studies on mass media.
