Kesalahan Penulisan Kata-Kata Momentum dalam Bahasa Indonesia: Studi Berbasis Korpus
Get PDFMany temporal terms in human life are frequently misspelled, particularly on the internet. This study aims to investigate the extent to which these temporal terms have been incorrectly written. The methodology involves querying the largest Indonesian digital corpus with specific queries based on commonly misspelled temporal terms in daily usage. This corpus-based analysis is intended to ensure empirical and measurable data. The study's findings indicate that errors in writing these temporal terms can be classified into spelling errors, capitalization errors, and spacing errors. Upon classification and quantification, it was found that the majority of these errors are associated with religious terms, such as Ramadan and zuhur, which are often written incorrectly. Errors were also found in the use of the preposition di replacing pada for indicating time and the use of jam instead of pukul. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, media digital Wordwall hadir sebagai alternatif yang memungkinkan proses pembelajaran berlangsung lebih interaktif, menyenangkan, dan berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan media Wordwall dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi serta mengembangkan inovasi berupa Buku Panduan Penggunaan Wordwall dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya materi teks deskripsi, bagi guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan konseptual, melalui studi pustaka terhadap berbagai referensi teoritis dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Wordwall dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam memahami struktur dan unsur kebahasaan teks deskripsi secara lebih efektif. Produk akhir dari penelitian ini adalah buku panduan praktis yang memuat strategi penerapan Wordwall dalam pembelajaran serta contoh aktivitas edukatif yang siap digunakan di kelas. Buku panduan ini diharapkan dapat membantu guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif dan menarik sesuai tuntutan era digital
Alih Kode dan Campur Kode dalam Film Budi Pekerti 2023
Get PDFLanguage becomes a vital communication tool in social interaction of multilingual society like Indonesia, code switching and code mixing phenomena are common, especially in entertainment, including film. Film as a representation of daily life often contains linguistic practices that reflect the social and cultural dynamics of society. The film "Budi Pekerti" displays the use of language variety in various communication situations. This study aims to analyze the form of code switching and code mixing in dialogue between film characters, and to identify the social and communicative functions of its use. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Using observation data sources on dialogue in the film which is transcribed and analyzed sociolinguistically. The data collection technique uses the listen-read-note technique. This study produced findings, there were 36 data obtained, 7 of which were in the form of code switching and 29 were in the form of code mixing. The data also showed that no external code switching was found. Then, an analysis of the social and communicative function of the use of code switching and code mixing was found. The phenomenon of code switching and code mixing occurs in order to show the speaker's social identity, create intimacy and emotional closeness, emphasize intentions and convey emotions, and finally, it can implicitly improve the language style and aesthetics of the film. These findings reinforce the important role of film as a medium for reflection on linguistic practices in bilingual and multicultural societies
The Role of Institutional Ownership in Moderating the Effect of Liquidity, Capital Intensity, and Sales Growth on Tax Avoidance
Get PDFTax avoidance is a legitimate tax management strategy to reduce the company's tax burden. This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, capital intensity, and sales growth on tax avoidance and the role of institutional ownership as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research sample was 37 manufacturing sector companies listed on the IDX in 2023, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was done using multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA) with IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The study results indicate that liquidity and sales growth do not affect tax avoidance, while capital intensity does affect tax avoidance. Institutional ownership can moderate the effect of liquidity on tax avoidance but is unable to moderate the effect of capital intensity and sales growth on tax avoidance

Get PDFThis study discusses the contribution of Islamic education in increasing legal awareness about domestic maintenance. This research uses a literature study method by examining various sources such as books, scientific journals, ulama fatwas, and Islamic legal documents related to Islamic education and maintenance law. An analysis was carried out on Islamic education theory, the concept of legal awareness, and the study of Islamic family law to understand how Islamic education contributes to building an understanding of the obligation to provide for maintenance. The results of the study show that Islamic education plays a role in increasing understanding and compliance with the law of domestic maintenance. A curriculum that teaches Islamic family law in formal and non-formal educational institutions can strengthen individual awareness of rights and obligations in the family. However, the contribution of Islamic education is still influenced by teaching methods, family support, and social environment. The conclusion of this study confirms that Islamic education has a significant contribution in building awareness of the law of maintenance in the household. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the curriculum and learning strategies so that the understanding of Islamic family law can be more optimal

The genderless beauty advertising concept used by BarenBliss "Gabriel Prince as a Makeup Muse" is an idea that goes against the stereotype of all beauty or self-care products always sticking to one gender, namely women. Descriptive qualitative research using the theory of individual differences. Research data was obtained through interviews with informants. The results of this study show different perceptions, namely that the advertisement is new and dares to appear different from other advertisements because it uses a male model in the advertisement, while other informants consider that this advertisement is not suitable if played by a male model. informants have the opinion that the form of masculinity in the advertisement can be seen from the concept of the advertisement that makes Gabriel Prince as a male model dare to take different steps by using makeup. The masculinity depicted in the BarenBliss advert is also seen through the style of dress. However, one informant disagreed with the masculinity in the advert because makeup is identic with women. These perceptions are created because young men and young women are influenced by different backgrounds, knowledge, experiences, and lifestyles
Social Cognitive Theory and Role of Key Actors in YouTube Comment Networks on Turmeric for Health
Get PDFThis research examines the dissemination of health information on YouTube, specifically focusing on discussions in video comment sections about the use of turmeric as an alternative medicine, a topic deeply rooted in traditional Indonesian medicine. This study aims to identify key actors and understand the process of information dissemination formed in the comments of the YouTube video “Manfaat dan Cara Membuat Kunyit yang Benar untuk Kesehatan”. Using Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory with social network analysis method combined with content analysis. Network analysis identified @dr.emasuperr as a source of scientific information and @saptayusmana7022 as an empirical validator, which together form a decentralized network structure. Findings revealed a dynamic mechanism of reciprocal determinism: (1) personal (individual beliefs formed through user testimonials), (2) behavioral (adoption of health practices), and (3) environmental (social support and medical authority) influence each other. The interaction of these three SCT components creates a snowball effect in information dissemination
Transforming Education with the "Merdeka Belajar Curriculum: Digging into Challenges and Crafting Effective Strategies in Rural Indonesia
Get PDFThe Merdeka Belajar curriculum has been widely recognized for its flexibility, student-centered approach, and potential to enhance digital literacy. However, limited studies have explored its specific impact on English language teaching (ELT), particularly in rural secondary schools. This study investigates the practice of the Merdeka Belajar curriculum in ELT at SMP Negeri 5 Sangatta Utara, focusing on the barriers encountered by teachers and students and the strategies employed to address them. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected using semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study involved three English teachers and ten seventh-grade students. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s framework, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings reveal that while the Merdeka Belajar curriculum encourages innovative teaching methods and student engagement, its implementation in rural settings is hindered by inadequate resources, limited technological infrastructure, and teachers’ readiness. To overcome these challenges, teachers employed adaptive strategies such as contextualized lesson planning, multimodal teaching techniques, and collaborative learning approaches. These strategies helped optimize the curriculum’s objectives despite existing limitations. The study provides valuable insights for educators and policymakers on how to enhance curriculum implementation in resource-constrained environments. It underscores the need for targeted professional development programs, improved educational infrastructure, and community involvement to maximize the curriculum’s impact on English language learning in rural Indonesia
Dynamics of Critical Thinking in Addressing Speaking Skills: A Comprehensive Study Utilizing a Problem-Based Learning Approach
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to detect the characteristics that enable and hinder the adoption of problem-based learning (PBL) in developing students' speaking abilities through critical thinking. It is expected that by understanding these elements, a successful approach can be formulated to improve educational quality and student outcomes. This study utilizes qualitative research methods along with descriptive techniques. Information was collected through interviews, observation, and analysis of documents. The researchers focused on 27 students in 5th-semester English Education at KH. Mukhtar Syafaat University. As a result, the researchers identified various elements that promote the implementation of PBL aimed at improving students' speaking skills through critical thinking. These factors include available resources and infrastructure, teamwork among group members, and students’ inclination toward solving problems as a group. For hindering factors are time management, prior knowledge, formulating hypotheses, and environment. This environmental factor will affect students' critical thinking and speaking skills. And it is the main factor why most of the 5th semester TBIG students are still lacking in critical thinking
Neo-Ibuism in Education: Representation of Femininities in Indonesian EFL Textbooks for Junior High School Students
No full textEFL textbooks play a crucial role in building sociocultural understanding for young learners, particularly in developing their perspectives and perceptions of gender. This study systematically and critically examines how representations of femininity emerge in Indonesian EFL textbooks for junior high school students. Using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this study examines how femininity is discursively constructed through various textual and visual sources. Referring back to the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework proposed by Fairclough (1995), this study critiques and analyzes how women, including girls, are portrayed in these textbooks, particularly in social contexts such as family, work, and community life. The findings highlight that some Indonesian EFL textbooks, particularly for junior high school students, predominantly reinforce traditional gender norms, strongly aligned with Neo-Ibuism. This contemporary discourse idealizes women as dedicated mothers and caregivers, while at the same time providing them with opportunities to have professional and leadership roles, albeit in limited areas. Such representation, while promoting a limited change, still risks perpetuating gender stereotypes that normalize multiple burdens for women. This study implies the need for more inclusive and diverse portrayals of femininity in educational materials to support the promotion of gender equality in Indonesian classrooms and, more broadly, Indonesian education
