This study examines the impact of collaboration between the Institute of Domestic Government (IPDN) Library and the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas) in improving the capacity of Human Resources (HR), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and the development of IPDN library infrastructure. Using a qualitative approach with a case study, this research collected data through in-depth interviews with officials and staff involved in the implementation of the collaboration. The results show that the collaboration that began in 2019 has brought significant positive impacts, including the improvement of librarian competencies through training and certification programs, the integration of the INLISLite digital library management system, as well as the development of physical and digital infrastructure. The collaboration has also enabled wider access to digital information resources through platforms such as Indonesia OneSearch (IOS) and Ipusnas. However, challenges such as long-distance communication constraints and a drastic decline in the number of physical visitors to the IPDN central library were also identified. The decline in physical visits was attributed to the ease of access to digital collections, the existence of faculty libraries, and mobile library services. Nonetheless, this collaboration has successfully improved the operational efficiency and service quality of the IPDN library, making it more responsive to user needs in the digital age. This research suggests periodic evaluation of library usage patterns and the development of innovative strategies to re-attract physical visitors, while continuing to expand the reach of digital services. Thus, IPDN Library can continue to adapt to technological developments and user needs, making it more relevant and effective in supporting the education and research process at IPDN.&nbsp

Classification of audio archives is one of the challenges for radio stations in managing their audio to maintain the sustainability of the information they have. This study aims to adjust the implementation of broadcast archive classification at the LPP RRI Malang, Kalimaya Bhaskara FM, and City Guide FM stations with Schellenberg's opinion (1956). This study uses a qualitative case study approach method to explore the stages of implementation of audio archive classification carried out by each radio station. The selection of informants was carried out using purposive sampling techniques and using spiral data analysis by Creswell to compile the data to be presented. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of audio archive classification at radio stations involves software, internal organizational policies, and the use of metadata in the archive classification process. The challenges found include the use of metadata, consistency of classification schemes, and limited understanding of human resources. This study needs to provide archival training to any agency not specifically for archives and the preparation of rules or standards for managing audio archives, especially in their classification, to improve operational effectiveness in the long term and optimize information preservation

    No full text
Budget efficiency represents a critical determinant of organizational performance in resource-constrained higher education environments, yet empirical evidence examining its specific impact on non-academic support staff remains limited, particularly in regional Indonesian universities. This study investigates the relationship between budget efficiency and educational support staff performance in public universities of West Aceh Regency, guided by Performance-Based Budgeting theory and Goal-Setting Theory. Employing a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, the study collected quantitative data from 80 educational support staff through validated questionnaires (Cronbach's α = 0.89-0.91) and qualitative insights from 10 key informants via semi-structured interviews. Pearson correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analyses examined relationships between budget efficiency dimensions (allocation accuracy, utilization effectiveness, transparency) and performance outcomes (task efficiency, service quality, professional development). Budget efficiency demonstrated strong positive correlation with staff performance (r = 0.674, p < 0.001) and accounted for 45.4% of performance variance (R² = 0.454, F (1,78) = 64.73, p < 0.001). Allocation accuracy emerged as the dominant influence factor (score: 88/100), followed by transparency/accountability (85/100) and staff participation (82/100). Qualitative findings revealed dual pathways: material mechanisms (resource adequacy enabling task execution) and psychological mechanisms (perceived organizational support enhancing motivation). Budget efficiency influences educational support staff performance through interconnected material and motivational pathways rather than resource availability alone. Universities should prioritize participatory budgeting, transparent financial reporting, and allocation-need alignment. Policymakers must recognize that performance-based funding requires parallel institutional capacity development to ensure equitable efficiency gains across administrative units

The study is an empirical investigation of the effect of globalisation on economic development in Nigeria. This emanates from the problem that globalisation is a broad concept and mechanism with its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The objectives of the study were to determine the effect of the globalisation index, capital inflows, the volatility index, and the exchange rate on gross domestic product per capita in Nigeria. Being empirical research with historical data, the ex post facto research design was used with data spanning from 1986 to 2022. On this basis, the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach was adopted since the unit root test results showed that the data were of mixed integration. The ARDL bounds test for cointegration revealed evidence of long-run relationships across the models developed for the study. The long-run estimates showed that globalisation had a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita. The study concluded that globalisation enhanced GDP per capita in Nigeria. The recommendations were a robust and effective economic environment that would seize opportunities from the current globalisation wave to ensure improvements in the domestic industries to achieve the desired level of economic development in Nigeria

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the influence of budget participation and information asymmetry on budgetary slack, with Dark Triad characteristics as a moderating variable. The study was conducted in 54 hospitals in East Kalimantan, with 27 hospitals responding to the questionnaire. This research is included in the category of correlational research. The study sample consisted of 69 respondents, selected using the probability sampling method. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires via WhatsApp links, with a response period of two months. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) - Partial Least Square (PLS) method, supported by Smart PLS software. The results show that budget participation has a positive and significant effect on budgetary slack. Additionally, information asymmetry also has a positive and significant effect on budgetary slack, meaning that the higher the information asymmetry, the greater the tendency for budgetary slack to occur. Furthermore, Dark Triad characteristics were found to moderate the relationship between budget participation and budgetary slack, as well as the relationship between information asymmetry and budgetary slack. In other words, individuals with Dark Triad traits tend to amplify the effects of budget participation and information asymmetry on the creation of budgetary slack. These findings emphasize the importance of strict supervision and effective budget control systems to minimize the negative impact of budgetary slack, particularly in organizational environments such as hospitals
