Implementation Of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) In Palm Oil Plantation Companies In Indonesia (Literature Review)
Palm oil plantations are one of the important sectors in the Indonesian economy that remained strong during the global financial crisis and contributed greatly to the country's foreign exchange. The world's largest exporters of palm oil are Indonesia and Malaysia with the largest contributions of 26.60 million tons and 15.40 million tons respectively in 2022. Companies are trying to improve the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to comply with regulations and improve the quality of management in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this study is to review the literature on the implementation of GCG in palm oil plantation companies, its impact on company performance, and obstacles in its implementation, using a qualitative literature study method. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of GCG in companies such as PT Bumitama Gunajaya Agro, PT. PP. London Sumatera Indonesia Tbk, and PT Agro Sinergi Nusantara has succeeded in meeting the principles of GCG and increasing Return on Assets (ROA). However, there are obstacles such as lack of management commitment, limited resources, unsupportive corporate culture, and external pressures and conflicts of interest. By overcoming these obstacles, it is hoped that companies in the palm oil plantation sub-sector can be more effective in implementing GCG, thereby improving their financial performance and business sustainability
SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW AND FUTURE STUDY DIRECTIONS TO COASTAL RESILIENCE
ABSTRACT
Coastal resilience is an important area of research because climate change, urbanization, and heavy coastal development are posing increasing threats. About 40% of the global population lives in coastal areas, which face major risks like rising sea levels, stronger storm surges, and damage to ecosystems. Urban growth, unsustainable economic practices, and the loss of natural protective features, such as mangroves and wetlands, make these problems worse. Indonesia, with its long coastline and large coastal population, illustrates the urgent need to improve coastal resilience, facing dangers like land sinking and loss of mangroves. This study uses a systematic literature review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, to look at global research trends in coastal resilience. Analyzing 260 academic journals shows that the United States leads in this field, due to its coastlines and academic resources, while countries like Indonesia and the UK also contribute significantly. The findings reveal that coastal resilience involves ecological, social, and economic aspects. Common keywords point out a focus on adaptive management, climate change effects, and ecosystem services, showing the complexity of improving resilience in vulnerable areas. Future research should focus on teamwork among different fields, connecting theories with practical solutions, and including resilience ideas in governance and policy-making. Policymakers should use local knowledge and prioritize sustainable practices to tackle current and future challenges. By encouraging collaboration and sharing findings in leading journals, the research community can improve understanding and implementation of effective coastal resilience strategies around the world.

Analysis of Women's Behavior and Work Ethic at the National Level in Timor-Leste: Achieving Leadership and Gender Equality
Objective: The aim of this study is to analyze the behavior and work ethic of women at the national level in Timor-Leste in the pursuit of leadership and gender equality.
Design/Methods/Approach: The study was conducted on women in Timor-Leste using a mixed-methods approach. The population consisted of all women holding government positions in Timor-Leste. Using a purposive sampling technique, 21 respondents were selected. With the mixed-methods approach, primary data were collected through questionnaires and interviews, while secondary data were gathered through direct communication techniques. The research instruments for secondary data included book studies, papers, documents, regulations, diaries, and similar sources. Additionally, limited interviews were conducted with authorized individuals responsible for providing data related to the research subjects. The data were processed descriptively, aiming to analyze and summarize the fundamental characteristics of the collected data. Data presentation was carried out immediately after all data were gathered through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and available documentation related to gender equality, women's leadership, and existing legislation.
Findings: The biggest challenges in achieving leadership positions for women include gender bias, lack of family support, and insufficient education and training, which hinder women from reaching top leadership roles. Patriarchal culture also contributes to domestic violence, making women feel insecure about pursuing leadership positions. Key factors that can support women in achieving leadership include leadership training to broaden their understanding of leadership, workplace gender equality policies, and support from supervisors. These three elements can help women advance to higher positions. The primary obstacle to achieving gender equality is patriarchal culture, which limits women's opportunities to pursue higher education. The lack of education and training results in women feeling less confident, undervalued, and hesitant to compete with men. The future of women's leadership will be realized when gender equality is achieved across all sectors, with more women holding leadership positions. Timor-Leste's legal framework already provides significant opportunities for women's leadership. What is now needed is the genuine commitment to implement the constitutional mandates and existing laws effectively.
Originality/Value: The novelty of this research lies in the fact that no previous studies have been conducted on the behavior and work ethic of women in Timor-Leste.
Practical/Policy implication: The research findings provide recommendations to policymakers and organizations on how to enhance women's participation in leadership and create a supportive environment for gender equality in Timor-Leste
