HIGH 5 STRATEGIES AS AN ALTERNATIVE TEACHING STRATEGY IN EFL CLASSROOM
This study describes the use of High 5 Strategies in English Foreign Language classroom. As one of teaching strategies, High 5 strategies can help the students to tackle their reading. High 5 strategies consists of activating background knowledge, questioning, analyzing text structure, creating mental images, and summarizing. First, activating background knowledge is the important concept of reading that can help the students to connect what they already learned or knew before so that it allows the students to get a better understanding of what it is about. Second, question is also the important way for students to form questions that help them understand what to look for as they read. Then, the students need to understand the structure of the text that help them easier comprehend each part of paragraph in the text by analyzing the text structure. Next, creating mental image or visualizing is used to imagine the structure of the text that the students have known before, so as they read, they should also imagine how the structure is. Finally, the students summarize all important information that they already got using the previous strategies. High 5 strategies provide an opportunity for all the EFL students to activate their background knowledge and form question in their mind, analyze, visualize and summarize the reading. In short, High 5 strategies can be used to help the students to learn better especially in improving their reading skill

ANALISA PENERAPAN SISTEM INFORMASI PERPUSTAKAAN UNIVERSITAS INDO GLOBAL MANDIRI
Increasing student achievement is not only dependent on science is taught by lecturers, but with a high interest, will be able to broaden their field of study miliki.Untuk increase reading interest of students, a university must have a good library information system. Library is one of the important unit in the establishment of a college. Library information system supported by good data processing, SOP good and also good infrastructure (standard), will have a significant impact on the progressive increase in interest in reading Mahasiswa.Suatu universities that have implemented the library information system, should be able to ensure that the systems supporting applications information library, actually still running well. Measurement of whether or not the system, carried out by analyzing the indicators - indicators of success of the system. Indicators of success is measured by the method menggunan COBIT Framework. COBIT Framework has four domains. The domain used to measure library information system is the delivery and support (delivery and Support). By calculating the maturity value, it can be determined whether good or bad condition of the Library Information System. The case study of this research takes the object of study in the University of Indo Global Mandiri. The results of this study, researchers in the form of an analysis of the library information system UIGM today, and suggestions for the leadership of Higher Education for the development of library information system better, in order to meet the needs of the organization and its stakeholders
INTEGRASI MODA TRANSPORTASI TREM DALAM RUANG KOTA (Studi Kasus Ruang Jalan DR. Rajiman dan Jalan KH. Agus Salim Surakarta)
Surakarta City is one city that has a fairly rapid development in Central Java. The city government had various breakthroughs to organize its spatial quality. Some of the projects the city spatial planning has been conducted among manufacturing citywalk lines on some roads. In addition to the spatial arrangement, the city of Surakarta alsodeveloped a form of public transportation bus called Batik Solo Trans (BST). The issues raised in this paper is the provision of commuter tram transportation within the city of Surakarta. The study was based on a pilot project proposed tram transport provision in the DR Rajiman street and the KH Agus Salim street. Both road corridors that connected each other is supporter of the town's main street corridor Slamet Riyadi street. Slamet Riyadi street that leads to the east takes the path as reversing direction to the west. Provision of trams transport require support in the form of a pedestrian who had direct access to the dismissal. Existing conditions indicate a pedestrian is not yet available in full along the corridor. This becomes an important subject included in the study. This study focuses on the physical setting of the tram line and point of dismissal, with consideration of the needs and activities of the user. Analysis carried out by the comparison between the existing condition to the conditions after the tram line is included to obtain the effectiveness coefficient that can be used as a basis for more detailed planning. The results showed that in general the tram lines can be applied to both corridor with several different changes on each corridor. In each corridor has a different implication for room setting such as site back buildings, wide of roads, vegetation, the presence of street vendors and the current direction of vehicles
PENENTUAN KOORDINAT GEODETIK TITIK BM PASUT JAWA DARI DATA PENGAMATAN GPS
The purpose of this research was to determine the geodetic coordinates Tidal BM points of Java. Determinationof the coordinates is done by GPS measurements at this points for 3 days. Accuracy of the data processing shownon the value of the standard deviation of latitude (φ), longitude (λ), and ellipsoid height (h). The Results of dataprocessing showed that latitude coordinates has range accuracy from 1.84 x 1.84 x 10-6 sec to 10-6 sec. Longitudecoordinates has range accuracy from 1.85 x 1.94 x 10-6 sec to 10-6 sec. While the ellipsoid height has rangeaccuracy from 9 to 12 cm. Observation point that has the highest accuracy of ellipsoid high is Sunda Kelapa, witha level of accuracy of 9.7 cm, while the observation point that has the lowest of accuracy ellipsoid high is Prigi, with a level of accuracy of 12 cm

PENGARUH PERUBAHAN TATAGUNA LAHAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK HIDROGRAF BANJIR (Studi Kasus DAS Dengkeng dan DAS Jlantah Bagian Hulu Bengawan Solo Kabupaten Sukoharjo, Provinsi Jawa Tengah)
The flood event on December 26, 2007, in Bengawan Solo river, the Province of Jawa Tengah has caused loss and submerged housed of thousands of people. The growing issue in regard to the event indicated that the cause was the changing response of the catchment area to the rainfall due to the land use changing. The changing of the hydrograph shape and the amount of peak discharge can be interpreted as the form of land use changing consequences. Thus, it is required to have a hydrological analysis to identify the changing of peak discharge due to the impact of land use changing. In this study, hydrological analysis was carried out for Dengkeng and Jlantah watershed as the critical catchment areas. The method used for the analysis was calculating unit hydrograph by using the Collins method in the conversion process of rainfall-runoff translation, calculating the effective rainfall by using the Soil Conservation Service-Curve Number (SCS-CN) and calculating the design flood with return periods of 2, 5, 10, 25, and 50 years by using the frequency analysis method. The design flood calculation was carried out for various land use conditions. Results of this study showed that the CN value as the main variable of the land function in Dengkeng and Jlantah watershed from 2003 to 2009 has not indicated significant improvement changes. Therefore, in order to rehabilitate forest and critical land as well as to optimally improve the development of the catchment areas in the future land use control is necessary. Based on the plans by BPDAS Solo, the results indicated that such rehabilitation influenced the changing of CN value and the losses factor as well as to the effective rain in rainfall-runoff translation. This was indicated by the declining flood peak discharge in 2025 from 18% to 66%
