    Get PDF
This study aims to examine the role of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in improving the quality of life of farmers in Tolowata Village, Ambalawi District, Bima Regency. The background of this study is based on the fact that the majority of the village community depends on the agricultural sector, but faces various obstacles such as limited access to capital, technology, and financial literacy. The presence of BSI as a sharia-based financial institution is a potential solution in empowering the economy of farmers through interest-free financing schemes, such as mudharabah, musyarakah, and qardhul hasan. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation studies, with data validation through source and method triangulation techniques. The main informants consist of farmers receiving financing, BSI employees, and local community leaders. Data are analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the study show that BSI not only provides fair and sharia-compliant financing access, but also provides financial training, technical assistance, and encourages the formation of community-based farmer institutions. This contribution has a significant impact on increasing farmers' income, productivity, and spiritual awareness. However, there are a number of obstacles faced by BSI in implementing the program, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited infrastructure, weak farmer institutions, and lack of synergy with related parties at the local level. Thus, optimizing BSI's role in improving the quality of life of farmers requires a collaborative approach, strengthening local institutional capacity, and a sustainable strategy in Islamic financial education

    Get PDF
This study will examine the accessibility of the Amazon Influencer Terms and Conditions by analyzing some of the semantic ambiguities in the document and how those ambiguities influence the influencer's awareness of rights and obligations. Digital marketing, or influencer marketing in particular, has become a regular way of conducting business in an online world, but the language in those contracts is often still unclear and complicated, especially for someone without a legal background. This study employs qualitative textual analysis, based on semantic theory, in order to uncover lexical, modal, syntactic, and referential ambiguities in the contract. The study found many examples of ambiguity, including vague terms such as “reasonable” and the unexpected use of modal verbs “may” in politically important phrases, which leaves the influencer confused about their duties and the authority of the platform. These uncertainties could make the transparency worse, and consequently can destroy the balance in the relationship between Amazon and its partners. The investigation also emphasizes the need for the usage of clear and simple language and one terminology due to the high level of influence and fair precision in influencer contracts. It is recommended to enhance the functionality of providing full explanations to help readers to be able easier to understand some of the concepts, identical or similar occurrences of modal verbs in legal documents that were intended to act as a legally binding document, and usability testing to identify the readability problems of non-legal readers

    Get PDF
Awareness of global issues, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among primary school children remains relatively low, despite the importance of fostering sustainable development values from an early age. This limited understanding poses a significant challenge within the elementary education environment. In response to this issue, a community service program conducted by a team of lecturers from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta at Khalifah Elementary School, Depok, aimed to enhance students’ awareness and comprehension of global issues encompassed within the SDGs framework. The program employed a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, and demonstrations to introduce key SDG themes, including poverty reduction, health and well-being, quality education, and climate action. Evaluation of the program’s impact was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, with the average pre-test score being 31.72 and the average post-test score increasing to 53.79. These findings suggest that early educational interventions can play a valuable role in shaping children's perspectives on global challenges and fostering their potential contributions to achieving the SDGs.

Tech-Driven Care: Boosting Nurse Home Visit Impact Through Innovation

    Get PDF
Home visit services at community health centers (Puskesmas) are a key strategy for improving access and the quality of care for chronic patients in the community. However, these services still face administrative challenges, such as manual documentation processes, delays in reporting patient data, and suboptimal team coordination due to limited human resources. This Community Service Program (PKM) was initiated to address these issues by implementing a digital-based Nursing Management System (NMS) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of home visit services at Puskesmas Majalaya. The method used was a participatory approach, consisting of four stages: (1) needs analysis through interviews and field observations, (2) development of a web-based application using Laravel tailored to home visit workflows, (3) training and mentoring of nursing staff on system usage, and (4) evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) combined with service performance indicators. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in documentation time (from 40 minutes to 12 minutes per visit), increased completeness of patient family data—including digital genograms, family medical history, and environmental risk factors (from 53% to 95%)—and improved patient adherence to follow-up visit schedules (from 68% to 90%). The utilization of the digital-based NMS has proven to improve administrative efficiency, optimize coordination among home care teams, and enhance service quality. Therefore, it is recommended that this system be adopted more widely across other primary healthcare facilities

CONTEXTUAL QUR’ANIC INTERPRETATION IN INDONESIA: A HERMENEUTICAL STUDY OF DAWAM RAHARDJO’S ENSIKLOPEDI AL-QUR’AN

    Get PDF
This study explores the contextualization of Dawam Rahardjo’s Ensiklopedi Al-Qur’an, aiming to examine his paradigm of contextual interpretation and analyze how it is reflected in one of the entries within his work. Employing a qualitative method based on literature review, this research adopts Abdullah Saeed’s theory of contextual interpretation as the hermeneutical framework for engaging with the Qur’an. The study presents two main findings. First, Dawam Rahardjo’s interpretive paradigm is demonstrably contextual. This is evident in his emphasis on the importance of understanding the Qur’an within the context of its revelation. He further argues that the values of the Qur’an must not remain confined to their historical context but should be internalized within contemporary Indonesian society as a foundation for both social and intellectual engagement. Second, Dawam’s contextual approach is reflected in his interpretation of the prohibition of riba (usury). In its revelatory context, the addition of value in lending was condemned because it typically involved oppressive consumer debt, particularly burdening low-income individuals. By contrast, Dawam argues that modern bank interest does not fall under the category of riba, since it involves productive loans and serves as a payment for the services rendered by financial institutions, which are legally regulated. Another example of Dawam’s contextual methodology is his interpretation of the term ummah in QS. Ali Imrān (3): 104. He understands ummah as referring to the concept of a state, linking it to both the historical development of the Madinah Charter and to modern notions of the social contract
