Employing a survey research method, this investigation gathers data from junior high school English teachers to understand their perceptions and experiences in shaping their teacher identities. The research seeks to delve into the multifaceted nature of teacher identity, considering the interplay of religious values, pedagogical approaches, and the cultural environment of the pesantren. By examining these dimensions, the study aims to uncover how these educators balance their roles as language instructors and moral guides, integrating Islamic teachings with their professional responsibilities. Change management in education is a strategy designed to deal with various challenges arising from the development of the times, policy changes, and the needs of society. This study aims to explore the implementation of change management as an effort to improve the quality of education in formal institutions, by focusing on the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of change. The research approach used is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The focus of this research involves identifying key elements that affect the success of change management, such as transformational leadership, active participation of stakeholders, readiness of educators and learners, and strategies to manage resistance to change. The results show that the successful implementation of change is highly dependent on strategic planning, open and transparent communication, continuous training for educators, and cross-sector collaboration. Leaders who are able to inspire and empower the team are an important factor in driving change in a positive direction. In addition, resistance to change can be minimized by building collective awareness of the long-term benefits of each new policy implemented. Institutions that have an adaptive learning culture tend to be better prepared to face change and are able to create innovations that contribute to improving the quality of education. This research makes a significant academic contribution by presenting a conceptual and applicable framework for the implementation of change management in the context of education. Thus, these findings are expected to be a guide for educational institutions and stakeholders to design sustainable change strategies. This study emphasizes that with the right approach, change management not only improves the quality of learning, but also supports the achievement of national education goals in creating superior and competitive human resources

The dynamics of the development of Education in Indonesia has always been colored by various problems which until now continue to be homework together. The problem is related to the Education system, curriculum, quality of graduates, well-being and integrity of educators, infrastructure, costs, and accountability of Education institutions and managers. In addition to these problems, our education is also faced with the problem of the moral decadence of the younger generation. One of the causes of this problem is that educational institutions are still not optimal in carrying out their role. Educational institutions in Indonesia are judged to give a very large portion to the transmission of knowledge, but less or even forget the development of attitudes, values and behavior in learning. Similarly, in the evaluation process, the cognitive dimension becomes the main yardstick to determine the level of student performance. As a result, educational institutions are able to produce graduates who have extensive knowledge but care less about the social environment around them. Ironically, this educational practice also takes place in a madrasah, which is an Islamic educational institution. Madrasas should emulate the efforts made by pesantren in terms of instilling character, namely through habituation, discipline, learning process and integration in learning materials

    Get PDF
This research aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in improving Islamic moral values in the era of digitalization, especially in the environment of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Jadid. With the rapid development of digital technology, new challenges have emerged for educators, including PAI teachers, in delivering material that is relevant to the times. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that digitalization has a positive impact on PAI learning, especially through wider and faster access to information. This allows students to more easily acquire religious knowledge that is relevant to the context of the times. However, on the other hand, digitalization also poses challenges in the form of the spread of negative content that can affect student morals and behavior.  In this case, PAI plays an important role in guiding students to use technology wisely, by instilling strong Islamic moral values, and providing a proper understanding of the limitations in using technology. Through PAI learning based on Islamic values, students are expected to develop a positive and responsible attitude in utilizing technology in this digital era. This research makes an important contribution in understanding the strategic role of PAI in shaping the character of superior students in the midst of technological advances

    Get PDF
Sheikh Amran Waly is a prominent scholar in Aceh with a congregation spread across Southeast Asia, yet his teachings are often rejected by Acehnese scholars. One of the most controversial ideas is his interpretation of Dhamir Huwa in Surah Al-Ikhlas, which he associates with Muhammad as Insan Kamil. This study aims to conduct an epistemological and interpretative analysis of this understanding using a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation. The findings reveal that Sheikh Amran Waly's interpretation of Dhamir Huwa is derived from the teachings of Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Jili and Ibn Arabi. This study also concludes that Sheikh Amran Waly's understanding of Dhamir Huwa is built on a valid epistemological and interpretative framework rooted in the thoughts of previous scholars. The contribution of this research lies in elucidating the continuity and adaptation of Wujudiyah thought in Aceh, particularly through Sheikh Amran Waly's synthesis of ishari and ibari dimensions, thereby providing a nuanced perspective on contemporary Wujudiyah discourse

    Get PDF
This community engagement program aims to provide training and assistance in enhancing the capacity of seafood processing businesses managed by women in coastal areas of Tanjung Jabung Barat, Sumatra. Local seafood products such as kletek and shrimp crackers are among the region’s leading commodities. However, these businesses are still considered secondary sources of income and lack the necessary legal certifications for market expansion. This program employs a capacity-building approach by facilitating business legality processes, including obtaining Halal Certification (HC), Business Identification Number (NIB), and Home Industry Food Production License (PIRT). The program is designed to fully involve business owners in training and mentoring activities. The training sessions begin with theoretical materials to enhance participants' understanding of business legality, halal compliance, and certification procedures. Practical sessions follow, where participants receive guidance on obtaining NIB, PIRT, and preparing the Halal Product Assurance System (HPAS) documents through the Sihalal platform. The results indicate a significant increase in participants' knowledge regarding the importance of business legality and halal certification processes. Additionally, there was a behavioral shift, as participants who initially lacked the ability to process business legality independently became capable of accessing various online platforms for business registration and certification. This program thus contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of seafood processing businesses led by coastal women in Tanjung Jabung Barat.
