INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND GENDER ISSUES IN ISLAMIC INSTITUTIONS

    Get PDF
Education is a fundamental right guaranteed in Islam for every individual regardless of gender. However, in some Muslim countries, women often face barriers in accessing equal education. This study aims to examine the challenges of gender equality in Islamic education and find solutions that are in accordance with Islamic principles. This study uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing primary sources such as the Quran and Hadith, as well as secondary sources such as journal articles, books, and education policy reports. The research findings reveal that gender barriers in education are caused by inflexible religious interpretations, restrictive social norms, and less inclusive education policies. Nevertheless, several countries such as Indonesia, Turkey, and Tunisia have succeeded in reducing the gender gap through education policies that support women. Islam, as a religion that places justice as a primary principle, has great potential to be a solution to this problem. This study concludes that gender equality in education can be achieved through an inclusive understanding of Islam and the formation of policies that favor women

    Get PDF
This study investigates the effects of perceived work-life balance (PWLB) and workload on employee performance, with job satisfaction functioning as a mediating variable, at PT Cahya Delivery, a logistics and service distribution company operating in Sumatra, Indonesia. The research was motivated by a decline in employee performance observed in 2024, accompanied by heightened workload demands during peak delivery periods. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing structured questionnaires administered to 190 active employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results demonstrate that PWLB exerts a significant positive influence on both job satisfaction and employee performance. Conversely, workload shows a negative direct effect on performance but an unexpected positive effect on job satisfaction, suggesting that increased responsibilities may enhance perceived trust and motivation among employees. Job satisfaction was found to partially mediate the relationships between both exogenous variables and employee performance. These findings underscore the strategic importance of fostering work-life balance and carefully managing workload structures to enhance employee satisfaction and performance. The study provides actionable insights for human resource management in the logistics service sector, particularly in designing challenge-oriented workloads and support mechanisms to sustain productivity and organizational effectiveness

    Get PDF
The development of information and communication technology in the digital era has brought significant transformations in the field of education, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This study aims to describe the use of digital Qur’an applications as an innovation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and identify its impact on students' motivation and understanding of the Qur’an. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students at a secondary school in Situbondo. The findings indicate that the use of digital Qur’an applications, such as Qur'an Kemenag and Muslim Pro, facilitates students in reading, listening, and understanding the meaning of Qur’anic verses interactively. Teachers also utilize digital interpretation and audio recitation features to enhance contextual and engaging learning experiences. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and inadequate access to technological devices still hinder optimal implementation. This study concludes that the integration of digital Qur’an applications into PAI learning effectively supports the achievement of Islamic education goals, especially in strengthening students' spirituality, Qur’anic literacy, and moral character. It is recommended that digital literacy training be provided to Islamic Education teachers so that technology-based learning management can be more effective and sustainable.

Creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere is very necessary in this era, especially in learning Arabic in order to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes. Researchers used the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model as the right solution to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and critical thinking. This study aims to determine the effect of Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) model to improve motivation and learning outcomes of Arabic language. Researchers used the Quasi Experiment method with pretest-posttest group design. The sample in this study consisted of 52 students who were divided into two classes, namely class A as an experimental class consisting of 26 students and class B as a control class of 26 students. The results of this study indicate an increase in learning motivation and student learning outcomes in Arabic language learning. This is evidenced by the hypothesis test where the sig value is 0.000 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is an effect of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) model to increase student motivation and learning outcomes in Arabic language learning

Hermeneutical Analysis of Simplification and Distortion in @Officialfiqihpernikahan on TikTok: A Study of Hadiths on Prophetic Marriage

    Get PDF
This study stems from concerns over the practice of presenting marriage hadith on TikTok, especially the "Marriage ala Rasulullah" series by @Officialfiqihpernikah, which ignores the Arabic text and often misstates the source of transmission, thus creating the potential for distortion of meaning in the context of digital da'wah which demands a short and interesting format. The purpose of the study is to analyze the authenticity of the sanads of six hadith contents and reveal the changes in meaning that occur due to the logic of social media. This study used a qualitative approach with two main methods: (1) sanad criticism to assess the validity of the hadith; and (2) content analysis based on Stig Hjarvard's theory of religious mediatization to understand the transformation of meaning in the logic of social media. The primary data consisted of six video clips on the account, while hadith literature, digital da'wah, and mediatization theory served as secondary data; the analysis was conducted through data reduction, classification based on mediatization elements (such as media logic, banal religion, and protagonist narrative framework), and verification of the chain of transmission. The findings reveal that the hadith reported by @Officialfiqihpernika contain data reduction, textual simplification, narration errors and meaning errors. This research contributes to the discourse of contemporary hadith criticism in the digital landscape and offers a model for evaluating sanad-based da'wah content and media logic. These results can be used to design collaborative guidelines between content creators and academics in curating Islamic content on social media

Reason and Revelation in the Tafsir Al-Kashshaf: Mu'tazilah's Study of the Verses of Tanzih I'tiqodiyah

    Get PDF
The study of Qur'anic interpretation continues to develop along with the dynamics of Islamic thought, one of which is through the pattern of kalām interpretation developed by the Mu'tazilah. Tafsir al-Kashshāf by al-Zamakhsharī is one of the main representations of the Mu'tazilah rational approach in understanding the verses of tanzīh i'tiqādiyyah. This study aims to analyze the epistemological relationship between reason and revelation in the interpretation, especially in interpreting the concepts of divinity, divine justice, and human free will. In this context, a methodological dilemma arises between the authority of reason as the main interpretive instrument and the authority of revelation as a source of transcendent truth, which is problematic in the discourse of interpretation—both historically and contemporary. Using qualitative methods based on literature studies and content analysis of the interpretation text, this study found that al-Zamakhsharī emphasized the supremacy of reason in interpreting verses containing elements of anthropomorphism, and rejected literal interpretations that have the potential to equate God with creatures. This interpretation consistently prioritizes linguistic and logical approaches to maintain the purity of the concept of monotheism. This study contributes to understanding the epistemological construction of Mu'tazilah interpretation and opens up opportunities for the development of contemporary interpretation methodology that is rational-transcendental and contextual

An earthquake is a vibration or shock caused by a sudden release of energy from within the earth, which produces seismic waves. The Indonesian region is currently vulnerable to volcanic and tectonic earthquakes due to the Pacific Ring of Fire, where the Indo-Australian tectonic plate collides with the Pacific tectonic plate. So this study aims to conduct a comparative analysis between earthquake disaster early warning systems that use sensors Accelerometers and Piezoelectric sensors. The two types of sensors used are an Accelerometer IMU 9 DOF to measure the acceleration of ground motion and a Piezoelectric sensor to measure vibration. Using the ESP32 which processes sensor data and sends data to Google Sheets using the Wi-FI module in real-time. Sampling data from the readings of each sensor will be used to determine the most accurate use of sensors for detecting earthquakes. In the results of the comparison of the two sensors, the average percentage of errors where the sensor Accelerometer with an error of 0.104% and a piezoelectric sensor with an error of 100% so that it can be concluded that the Accelerometer sensor is more accurate than the piezoelectric

    Get PDF
This community service program was initiated in response to the low halal certification rate among food-sector MSMEs in Kadungora District, Garut Regency, where only 11.9% of active enterprises were certified. Amid the legal obligation mandated by Indonesia’s Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance and the growing domestic and international demand for halal products, this intervention was designed to address key barriers such as low literacy, limited access, and technical challenges—particularly within the self-declare certification scheme. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, engaging MSME actors as key agents of change through two strategic stages: entrepreneurship seminars and intensive technical mentoring by certified Halal Product Process Assistants (PPH). The program outcomes indicate a significant increase in participants’ understanding of halal certification urgency, with Likert-scale scores rising from 2.3 to 4.5, and successful facilitation of certification for 25 MSMEs within 20 working days. Post-program monitoring revealed that 18 MSMEs integrated into digital platforms, achieved an average revenue increase of 20%, and received inquiries from local distributors, alongside early-stage export orientation toward markets in Malaysia and Singapore. The implications of this initiative demonstrate that a systematic education-and-assistance approach can serve as a replicable national model to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs in the halal industry ecosystem and support Indonesia’s vision of becoming a global halal economic hub
