Söz konusu ağabeyim ve bacanağım Prof. Dr. Necmeddin Sefercioğlu ise yazı yazmak benim için daha da zor bir iştir; çünkü ailemizin büyüklerinden ve özellikle rahmetli ağabeyimden alçak gönüllü olmayı, övünmemeyi ve abartılı bir şekilde kimseyi övmemeyi öğrendim. O’nun için kütüphanecilik mesleği ve Türk milliyetçiliği ülküsü bir aşk idi. Bütün ömrünü bu iki aşka hizmetle geçirdi. Hiç bir zaman şöhret ve zenginlik peşinde koşmadı ve mütevazı bir hayat yaşadı. Ailesinden esirgediği itibar ve imkânlarını kütüphanecilik, Kütüphaneciler Derneği, öğrencileri ve milliyetçilik için kullandı. Eğer bugün belli bir noktaya ulaşabilmişsem, bu başarıda en büyük pay ona duyduğum hayranlık ve onu örnek edinmemdir. Onun benim üzerimde, hiçbir zaman ödeyemeyeceğim hakları vardır. O, son nefesine kadar çok okuyan, çok düşünen ve çok yazan bir insan olarak yaşadı. Onun eserleriyle, yetiştirdiği öğrencileriyle ve gösterişten, övünmekten uzak, alçak gönüllü örnek hayat tarzıyla daima yaşayacağı inancındayım.It is challenging for a man to write about one of his family. Writing for Prof. Dr. Necmeddin Sefercioğlu, my brother and brother-in-law, is an even more difficult task for me. Because I learned to humble, not brag and exaggerate anybody from the elders of our family and especially my late brother. For him, the librarian profession and the ideal of Turkish nationalism was a love. He spent his entire life serving these two lovers. He never pursued fame and wealth and lived a modest life. He used the reputations and possibilities that he denied from his family for librarianship, Librarians Association, students, and nationalism. If I have reached my current status today, the most significant share in this success is my admiration and my example. He has rights over me that I can never pay. He lived as a person who read, thought, and wrote a lot until his last breath. I believe that he will always live with his works, his students, and his modest lifestyle, far from showing off and boasting
E-kitaplar için Koleksiyon Geliştirmede Farklı Sağlama Modellerinin Etkisi
Get PDFE-books have an important place in library collections in supporting education and research activities. Libraries need to follow and evaluate different acquisition models which vary by supplier, in order to create an effective and balanced collection by using their budgets efficiently. There are different e-book acquisition models that show under which conditions content by suppliers may be accessed. These models are constantly changing due to economic conditions and technological developments. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the choice of acquisition model affects total library expenditures, whether the choice of model changes according to the discipline, and which are the most cost-effective unit-use procurement models. In this study, basedon real usage data from Hacettepe University Libraries, e-book acquisition models offered by the publisher and aggregator were tested and, then cost and subject analyses were made with the developed scenarios.Among the models offered by the publisher a unit usage cost of 1.18€ was seen in the EBA (Evidence Based Acquisition) model. If this model was preferred there would be guaranteed lower expenses. Among the models offered by the aggregator, the lowest unit usage cost ( ile STL’li (STL –Short Term Loan) DDA (Demand Driven Acquisition) modelinde görülmüştür.En fazla kullanılan başlıkların otomatik satın alınmasına izin veren bu modelin kütüphane için ekonomik bir seçenekolacağı ortaya çıkmıştır.E-kitap kullanım sıklıklarının disipline göre farklılık gösterdiği, ödenen toplam maliyet ve kullanım sayısına bağlı olarak birim kullanım maliyetlerinin değiştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Disipline göre sağlama modellerinin tercihinde kullanım, bütçe ve tedarikçi koşullarının etkili olduğu görülmüştür. E-kitap sağlama modellerinin karşılaştırmalı maliyet analizinin yapıldığı bu araştırmanın sonuçları koleksiyon geliştirme ve yönetiminde kullanılmalı, kullanım verilerinin analizi ile en uygun ve en ekonomiksağlama modelleri değerlendirilerek bütçelerin daha etkin kullanılması sağlanmalıdır

However, it is possible to see that some factors that significantly affect the number of publications and citations in research performance evaluation processes are not taken into consideration. The main aim of this comment is to list the various factors that make “some” more visible than others in the scientific communities and to warn those who are concerned about such factors in research evaluations
