    The role of information education in childcare training schools

    In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, universities will be forced to offer distance learning courses on a scale never before imagined in the 2020-2021 academic year. This was a year in which the informatization of education accelerated. How should students enrolled in nursery schools respond to the daily evolution of ICT, and how should they acquire the knowledge and skills needed in the childcare field by the time they graduate? The purpose of this paper is to review the past surveys and find out the necessity from a new perspective. In addition, we aim to make students realize that they can use the knowledge and skills in the childcare field after graduation, and to explore and practice the future development and content of classes.     Literature review on nursing students’ images about people with mental illness in psychiatric nursing practice: a discussion on stigma and information

    【目的】本研究の目的は,精神看護学実習における精神疾患をもつ人の学生のイメー ジの文献検討を行うことで,学生のイメージとその情報源, 教育方法の実際を考 察し,今後の教育介入の示唆を得るものである。 【方法】医学中央雑誌(WEB 版)にて,精神看護学実習でのイメージの変化に関す る文献検索を行った。 【結果】過去10 年間における9 件の文献を対象に検討を行った。精神疾患をもつ 人に関する情報源は, テレビ・新聞などのマス・メディアで,その影響は強いもの であった。実習前の学生の精神疾患をもつ人のイメージは,「怖い」「暴れる」「危険」 などネガティブなものであった。実習後の学生の精神疾患をもつ人のイメージは, 「明るい」「精神障害者は怖くない」「優しい」などであった。実習での体験を通し, ポジティブなイメージに変化した。また, 教育方法の実際については,精神看護学 実習における対象者との接触体験の他,講義や教員・実習指導者のサポートに関 する内容であった。 【結論】精神看護学実習における学生の精神疾患をもつ人のイメージはネガティ ブなものが大多数であったが,精神看護学実習で精神疾患をもつ人とかかわるこ とでネガティブなイメージが払拭される傾向にあった。また,精神疾患をもつ人 のイメージの情報源として,テレビ・新聞などのマス・メディアの影響力が強い ことが考えられた。教育方法の実際として,教員や実習指導者のサポートにより, 精神疾患をもつ人や精神看護学実習のイメージに大きな影響を及ぼすことが示唆 された。(著者抄録)departmental bulletin pape

    A Survey on the Student Enrollment and Evaluation in Senior High School Course of Special Needs Schools

    In this paper, I conducted a questionnaire survey on the status of the student enrollment and evaluation of educational practices at special needs schools with senior high school courses in Japan, and analyzed the results by focusing on the differences by disability type and school size. In this survey, there were 528 responses (collection rate: 52.5%). It is turned out that a large number of student tend to enroll in the special needs schools for intellectual disabilities. It is suggested that many students with intellectual disabilities from special support classes at junior high schools choose special needs schools at high school level. Besides, evaluations on school and student matching was significantly low. As for the individualized education plan, it is clear that there are large differences among schools in terms of the frequency of making plan. The overall evaluation of "cooperation with other institutions regarding graduation" and "vocational training" was high, but the evaluation of "transition support after graduation" and "support for individual needs in the curriculum" was low.(著者抄録)departmental bulletin pape

    Educational Gimmicks as Education Conducted Through the Environment in Early Childhood Education

    The three revisions to laws and regulations of 2018 reemphasized the importance of the environment in early childhood education. ECEC teachers need to fully understand the importance and think about the various experiences of children in relation to the environment. In addition, it is also important for ECEC teachers to enjoy childcare life and play together with children they supervise as a peer in order to accurately grasp the children's interests and thoughts and to have close relationship with them. This time, we studied the activities, which incorporated the project approach, of a group of 5-year-olds prior to an overnight stay childcare. Then, the activity was analyzed using episode description, and the development of the children that occurred with the progress of the activity through the educational gimmicks as the environmental configuration was examined. The characteristic of the project approach in this childcare center was the great number of educational gimmicks prepared by the ECEC teachers. The children who were guided by the educational gimmicks learned cooperativeness through various experiences. The children solved the problems one after another through trial and error. Through that process, the children bonded together with their classmates. As a result, it is thought that educational gimmicks as an environmental configuration had a great influence on the development of children.(著者抄録)departmental bulletin pape
