Get PDFMathematics test preparation by teachers is often conducted manually, resulting in inefficiency and inconsistent question quality. This community service program aimed to empower Mathematics MGMP teachers in Bojonegoro through training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (ChatGPT) and LaTeX in developing Academic Ability Test (AAT) items. The program was implemented through socialization, hands-on practice, dissemination, and evaluation using the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA/PAR) approach. The novelty of this activity lies in integrating ChatGPT, an AI-based question generator, with LaTeX, a professional formatting tool, both embedded within a participatory teacher-training model. The implementation significantly improved teachers’ competence in creating varied, structured, and well-formatted test items while strengthening collaborative work within MGMP. Moreover, teachers demonstrated increased efficiency and confidence in applying AI-based tools for mathematics assessment design. The program proved effective and replicable as a sustainable model for advancing digital competence and innovative assessment practices among mathematics educators
A learning trajectory for developing computational thinking in prospective mathematics teachers through Python programming in Google Colab
Get PDFComputational thinking (CT) is a fundamental skill that needs to be developed by prospective mathematics teachers to improve problem-solving and logical reasoning. Integrating programming into mathematics learning is an effective approach to training this skill. This study aimed to design a hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) for developing CT using Python programming on Google Colab. This study used a didactical design research (DDR) framework consisting of three stages: prospective analysis, metapedadidactic analysis, and retrospective analysis. The research participants were prospective mathematics teacher students enrolled in a computer programming course. Data were collected through observation, code artefacts, and reflective interviews. The results showed that HLT, designed in stages, improved the four main components of CT: decomposition, abstraction, pattern recognition, and algorithmic thinking. The students experienced improvements in breaking down problems, devising more efficient solutions, recognising patterns in code structures, and systematically designing algorithms. In addition, Google Colab supports learning by providing a collaborative and accessible programming environment. However, minor syntax errors and lack of attention to indentation were found. This study recommends using structured debugging strategies and project-based learning in optimizing CT development. The findings indicate that the integration of programming into the education of prospective mathematics teachers can equip them with essential CT skills to support technology-based mathematics teaching
Beyond circular trigonometry: Parabolic functions from geometric identities
Get PDFThis paper presents an innovative extension of trigonometric functions to parabolic geometry, introducing the parabolic sine (sinp u) and parabolic cosine (cosp u) functions. Geometrically, sinp u and cosp u are defined via the relationship between a point on a parabola and its focus: sinp u represents the vertical displacement ratio, while cosp u corresponds to the horizontal displacement ratio, normalized by the focal distance. These functions generalize circular trigonometry to a parabolic framework, preserving key structural identities while exhibiting unique behaviors, such as fixed asymptotic values under angle variation. The objective of this study is to establish a rigorous foundation for parabolic trigonometry, derive its core identities, and demonstrate its applicability. Using a geometric-analytic approach, we redefine trigonometric concepts via parabola-centric constructions, adapt Euler’s formula to parabolic segments, and derive exponential representations of sinp u and cosp u. This method leverages differential geometry and algebraic invariance to ensure consistency with classical trigonometry while extending its scope. Key results include: (1) Proofs of sinp u, and cosp u; (2) Exponential forms: sinp u, and cosp u; (3) As the parabolic imaginary unit. Unlike circular trigonometry adaptations, our approach provides intrinsic geometric consistency with parabolic functions, enabling exact solutions for parabolic arc lengths and focal properties. This contrasts with numerical or linearized methods that sacrifice accuracy for simplicity. Theoretically, unifies parabolic geometry with analytic trigonometry, opening pathways for conic-section-generalized trigonometry, enhancing modeling in optics (parabolic mirrors), structural engineering (cable-supported arches), and ballistics (trajectory optimization), offering a novel pedagogical tool to bridge classical and modern geometry

In the field of education, for instance, there are numerous technologies accessible to students to improve their understanding of the subjects being studied. However, most of these technologies remain underutilized by learners despite their great potential to assist them. One example is AI technology on the ChatGPT website, which can function as a self-learning platform for studying foreign languages, including Arabic. Based on this premise, this research aims to explore and identify the features of ChatGPT that can support independent Arabic language learning. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method by collecting data directly from the ChatGPT website and then analyzing and describing the findings. The research findings reveal that the ChatGPT website can serve as a medium for independent Arabic language learning through various features, including planning the Arabic learning process, practicing writing skills, enriching vocabulary and expressions in Arabic, translating texts, correcting writing errors, creating Arabic language test simulations, explaining language rules, and serving as a platform for Arabic language games
Optimasi Gel Peel-Off Ekstrak Ethanol 96% Rimpang Lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L.) Sebagai Antioksidan Alami
Get PDFKulit merupakan bagian terluar dari tubuh bertindak sebagai penghalang untuk melindungi tubuh dari paparan eksternal seperti cedera dan oksidasi (Maharani A, 2015). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimasikan gel peel-off ekstrak etanol 96% rimpang lengkuas (Alpinia galanga L.) sebagai antioksidan alami serta mengevaluasi sifat fisik dan stabilitasnya. Rimpang lengkuas dikenal memiliki potensi antioksidan tinggi berkat kandungan senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid. Formulasi sediaan gel peel-off dipilih untuk memberikan kemudahan aplikasi topikal dan meningkatkan kontak bahan aktif dengan kulit.Ekstrak rimpang lengkuas diperoleh melalui metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Gel peel-off diformulasikan dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 10% berdasarkan formula optimum. Evaluasi meliputi uji organoleptik memiliki tampilan yang jernih dan transparan, uji homogenitas sediaan gel peel off homogen, nilai pH sebesar 6,5 waktu mengering sediaan 20 menit daya sebar sebesar 5,54 cm dan daya lekat sebesar 59,6 detik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gel peel-off ekstrak rimpang lengkuas memiliki karakteristik fisik yang baik dan stabil selama periode pengujian. Formula ini berpotensi sebagai sediaan kosmetik antioksidan topikal yang inovatif dan memanfaatkan kekayaan alam Indonesia
Perbandingan Hemoglobin Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik Di RSUD Provinsi NTB
Get PDFPenurunan kinerja ginjal yang berkelanjutan yang disebabkan oleh kerusakan struktur ginjal dan fibrosis interstisial dikenal sebagai gagal ginjal kronik. Defisiensi eritropoietin, yang bertanggung jawab atas pembentukan eritrosit, menyebabkan kerusakan ginjal, yang meningkatkan risiko anemia. Tujuan penelitian yaitu membandingkan hemoglobin sebelum dan sesudah hemodialisa dan terapi tambahan untuk meningkatkan hemoglobin pasien gagal ginjal kronik di RSUD Provinsi NTB serta mengevaluasi efektivitas hemodialisa dan terapi tambahan. Metode kuantitatif komparatif dengan cross-sectional yang digunakan. Data dikumpulkan secara retrospektif dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS dengan p-value <0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hemoglobin sebelum dan sesudah hemodialisa berbeda; terapi tambahan PRC memiliki hasil rata-rata 1,8 g/dl, PRC dengan asam folat 3,8 g/dl, dan PRC dengan eritropoietin 4 g/dl, masing-masing dengan p<0,05. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa PRC dengan eritropoietin memiliki hemoglobin terendah, dengan peningkatan hemoglobin rata-rata 1,8 g/dl, dan PRC dengan hemoglobin tertinggi, dengan peningkatan hemoglobin rata-rata 4 g/dl. Oleh karena itu, hemoglobin pasien gagal ginjal kronik RSUD Provinsi NTB meningkat setelah hemodialisa dan terapi tambahan, dengan PRC dan eritropoietin yang paling efektif
Formulasi dan Evaluasi Sediaan Lotion dari Ekstrak Etanol Akar Jombang (Taraxacum officinale)
Get PDFKosmetik berbahan alami semakin diminati karena keamanannya dan dampak positifnya bagi lingkungan. Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) mengandung flavonoid, vitamin C, dan senyawa fenolik yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan melindungi kulit dari radikal bebas, dan mencegah terjadinya penuaan dini. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memformulasi losion dengan ekstrak etanol akar dandelion serta mengevaluasi karakteristik fisikokimianya. Ekstrak dihasilkan dari proses maserasi menggunakan etanol 96% yang kemudian diformulasikan ke dalam tiga jenis minyak. Uji meliputi homogenitas, daya sebar, daya lekat, pH, viskositas, dan uji hedonik. Semua formula homogen dengan daya sebar 3,06–3,57 cm, daya lekat 11,3–21,3 detik, viskositas 2,32–2,77 mPa.s, dan pH 8,33–8,67, sedikit di atas syarat ideal sediaan untuk kulit. Formula 2 paling disukai dalam tekstur dan warna, sedangkan Formula 3 memiliki daya lekat dan viskositas terbaik. Disimpulkan, losion ekstrak akar dandelion stabil dan diterima baik, namun perlu optimasi pH untuk keamanan kulit

Since this research employs a qualitative approach and includes direct observation, the results are presented in an analytical-descriptive manner, consisting of written words from the responses of individuals observed, particularly regarding the digital-based marketing strategies aimed at increasing the quantity of umrah participants at PT. Arudam 99 Cabang Probolinggo has effectively implemented digital marketing in its umrah promotions, especially on social media platforms like Facebook. The data analysis technique used is qualitative analysis with triangulation techniques in testing the validity of the data.Based on the results of the study, the Islamic service strategy in increasing customer satisfaction at Resto Melita Kitchen, Kolor Village, Sumenep City District, Sumenep Regency is complexly contained in the SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) set by the restaurant. In the SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) there are several regulations that direct all structural managers of the restaurant to be honest, consistent, intelligent, polite and friendly to customers, responsible for the trust that has been given, maintain the quality of service and product standards, build good emotional relationships with customers and provide convenience to customers. The supporting factors for the Islamic service strategy in increasing customer satisfaction at Resto Melita Kitchen arise from the SOP (Standard Operational Procedure) that has been set by the restaurant which contains Islamic sharia values. There is training for new employees, after training there is follow-up from the leaders of each division. And employee welfare is guaranteed with a balance between the work assigned and the salary received by employees. While the inhibiting factors for the Islamic service strategy in increasing customer satisfaction at Resto Melita Kitchen arise from employees who experience underperformance and the inability of the restaurant to respond to requests from its customers. This happens due to wrong predictions or even not considering the consequences of customer satisfaction. Penelitian ini menganalisis dampak perang dagang terhadap profitabilitas UMKM syariah dan implementasi prinsip Maqashid Syariah sebagai strategi mitigasi. Menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods, data diperoleh melalui wawancara tiga pelaku UMKM syariah dan dianalisis secara tematik dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan dampak berupa kenaikan harga bahan baku, penurunan permintaan, dan terganggunya distribusi. Namun, penerapan nilai Maqashid Syariah seperti hifzh al-māl dan kejujuran memperkuat ketahanan usaha. Strategi seperti diversifikasi bahan baku, efisiensi produksi, dan pemanfaatan platform digital syariah membantu UMKM bertahan.
