This culture includes customs that regulate daily life, regional languages that are rich in local vocabulary, dance arts such as the Kancet Ledo Dance that depicts harmonious movements with nature, music such as the gendang beleq that accompanies ceremonies, the nuwo sesat traditional house that represents traditional architecture, and ceremonies such as Tulung Buyut that strengthen social ties. This study explores the Lampung keris as a complex and essential cultural symbol in Lampung society, Indonesia. Lampung culture, rich in traditions and noble values, faces the challenges of modernisation that threaten the loss of cultural identity. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the study identifies two main types of keris and describes their functions as status symbols and ritual tools. Cultural acculturation is reflected in the design of the keris, which adopts local elements and outside influences. The findings indicate the need for effective preservation strategies, such as local education and cultural promotion, to maintain the relevance of the keris not only as a tool but also as a link to the identity and heritage of the Lampung people amid changing times

His study aims to describe and analyze teachers’ efforts in instilling the value of discipline among students at Pondok Pesantren Islamic Center Bin Baz Yogyakarta. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The collected data were analyzed interactively through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The findings reveal that the cultivation of discipline in the pesantren is carried out through three main approaches: habituation, exemplary modeling, and supervision. Habituation is implemented through structured daily routines, exemplary modeling is shown by teachers and dormitory mentors through direct behavior, and supervision ensures consistency and rule enforcement. The religious environment, teacher role models, and collective supervision system significantly reinforce the formation of students’ disciplinary character. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of these three approaches within a single educational system that emphasizes not only rule compliance but also moral and spiritual awareness of discipline among students

Digital transformation has changed the landscape of educational organisations—replacing many face-to-face interactions with hybrid and virtual interactions and requiring education leaders to adapt their leadership styles. This article reviews the 2015–2025 literature on two leadership styles relevant to the digital age: supportive leadership and authentic leadership, and how these two styles help build trust and team support in the digital education environment. The research method was a systematic literature review of relevant journals, scientific articles, policy reports, and literature reviews. The synthesis results show: (1) effective digital leadership requires a combination of personal support and openness/authenticity to maintain trust; (2) concrete practices include structured communication, technology support policies, collaborative learning, and decision transparency; (3) the main obstacles are uneven digital literacy, cultural resistance, and infrastructure limitations. Recommendations are provided for school leaders and educational institutions to implement interventions focused on strengthening interpersonal relationships, establishing clear virtual work rules, and improving staff digital capabilities

This study is a literature review that examines the effectiveness of school principals' decision-making when applying the incremental model to improve the quality of education at the junior high school level. The incremental model—rooted in the tradition of public policy theory (Lindblom)—suggests gradual change and small improvements (‘muddling through’) as a managerial strategy when information is limited and uncertainty is high. This article summarises empirical evidence and theoretical studies (2015–2025) on: (1) the characteristics of school principals' decision-making; (2) the advantages and limitations of applying an incremental approach in schools; (3) the relationship between decision-making styles and education quality indicators (learning outcomes, school climate, resource management); and (4) policy and practice implications for principal capacity development. The results of the study show that the incremental approach is often effective in the context of complex and risky school operations if major changes are implemented without support; however, its effectiveness depends on the capabilities of the headteacher (managerial and leadership competencies), stakeholder participation, and clear monitoring and evaluation mechanisms

This study aims to identify and compare effective communication strategies used by educators in two distinct educational contexts: teacher–student communication in schools and lecturer–student communication in higher education. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study analyzed 15 relevant articles published between 2015 and 2025 that were selected from several reputable databases, including Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar (SINTA 2–4), and various international journals. The selection process involved systematic screening, inclusion criteria, and quality assessment to ensure the relevance and rigor of the reviewed studies. The findings reveal several similarities in the communication strategies applied across both educational levels, particularly in the use of clear instructional messages, effective feedback mechanisms, nonverbal communication, and the development of positive interpersonal relationships between educators and learners. However, notable differences were also identified. At the school level, communication strategies tend to focus on instructional clarity, structured interaction patterns, scaffolding, classroom management, and emotional support for students. In contrast, communication at the university level emphasizes facilitating in-depth discussions, fostering academic autonomy, applying teacher immediacy, providing academic consultation, and strengthening students’ motivation

This study aims to analyze the application of the principle of shura in bureaucratic leadership decision-making in Islamic educational institutions. The main objective of this study is to examine how the principle of shura can be applied in the context of bureaucratic leadership in educational institutions, as well as to identify the challenges faced in the implementation process. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, which was conducted by analyzing various literature related to shura, decision-making in bureaucracy, and Islamic educational leadership. The results of the study show that the application of the principle of shura in decision-making can increase the legitimacy of decisions, strengthen the participation of members of the institution, and produce more inclusive and fair policies. However, the biggest challenges found are resistance to change in the established bureaucratic structure and limitations in creating space for effective deliberation. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the principle of shura in bureaucratic leadership in Islamic educational institutions, which has been discussed more in the context of government and political leadership. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to developing a more participatory and Islamic values-based model of educational leadership

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital supervision conducted by the principal in improving the quality of technology-based learning at SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, using observation, in-depth interviews, and digital documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that digital supervision is implemented through the use of a Learning Management System (LMS), Google Drive, QR code–based digital attendance, and video-based classroom observations. Digital supervision has been proven to enhance teacher discipline, the quality of instructional materials, learning effectiveness, and teachers’ technological competence. In addition, a stronger culture of pedagogical reflection has emerged, as teachers are able to review their teaching practices through recorded learning videos. However, the implementation of digital supervision still faces several challenges, including variations in teachers’ ICT skills, internet connectivity issues, resistance to change, and the limited time of the principal. Overall, digital supervision serves as an effective strategy for improving learning quality and teacher professionalism in the era of technology-based education

This study aims to analyze education as a form of human capital investment using empirical data from the Annual Report of Sekolah Alam Indonesia (SAI) Cipedak for the 2023–2024 academic year. The analysis focuses on five key indicators of educational investment. These include program implementation, student character and soft skill development, literacy and numeracy outcomes, teacher development, and the structure of educational costs. The study uses a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach based on secondary data. The findings show that program implementation reached 98 percent. Literacy and numeracy performance increased consistently over the past three years. Character assessment covered three domains. These include moral values, leadership, and thinking skills. The cost structure shows major allocation to teacher development and learning programs. These results indicate that education at SAI Cipedak generates significant academic and non-academic benefits and provides measurable investment returns through improved student competencies and learning quality. The findings also reinforce the theoretical perspective that education functions as a core mechanism for building human capital. The study implies that schools should strengthen financial planning and teacher-development strategies to maximize the long-term value of educational investment

This study aims to examine the role of coping strategies in future anxiety among fresh graduates who are undergoing the transition from higher education to the workforce. A competitive labor market and increasing unemployment rates among university graduates may contribute to heightened future anxiety in this population. This study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling. The participants consisted of 289 fresh graduates who had completed their studies within the last 0–2 years. Data were collected using the Dark Future Scale to measure future anxiety and a coping strategies scale based on Carver’s framework, which includes problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, and less useful coping. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26.0. The results indicated that coping strategies, both simultaneously and partially, did not have a significant role in predicting future anxiety among fresh graduates. These findings suggest that future anxiety is more strongly influenced by external and structural factors rather than individual coping mechanisms. This study provides empirical evidence that enriches the literature on post-graduation psychological dynamics and offers a foundation for future research to explore other relevant predictors of future
