MANAJEMEN KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL SISWA
Emotional Intelligence (Emotional Quotient, EQ) of students is a crucial factor that influences academic achievement, personal well-being, and social abilities in school, family, and society. This study aims to identify effective leadership management strategies implemented by the school principal to enhance the emotional intelligence of Grade VI students at MTs Darunnajah Jakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a library research technique, based on theoretical analysis and literature. Data was collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and an analysis of the decisions made by the school administration. This can be observed from the changes in students' character, such as becoming more polite, disciplined, optimistic, and always remembering Allah. Therefore, MTs Darunnajah Jakarta has successfully maintained an A accreditation, reflecting the high quality of the school. The novelty of this study lies in the systematic application of leadership management theory in enhancing students' emotional intelligence, integrated with the principles of Islamic education. This research contributes to the development of school leadership management and the improvement of students' emotional intelligence as a foundation for character formation and academic achievement
REFORMULASI AKUNTABILITAS KEPALA SEKOLAH UNTUK PENGUATAN MANAJEMEN SEKOLAH DASAR DI ERA DISRUPSI DIGITAL: STUDI KASUS SD IT DARUL HIKMAH PASAMAN BARAT
The 21st century presents many challenges. Including the world of education, which requires flexible, skilled, and technology-aware human resources. The government, schools, and society form the pillars of HR to answer these problems. The principal, as the smallest community, is responsible for student development in accordance with modern learning requirements. School-based management is a management method based on student involvement. Thus, supporting resources are very important because each educational institution has control over human resources, finances, and the environment. SD IT Darul Hikmah has the ability to adapt to modern school-based management. Having a strategy to manage the institution so that it becomes a reference elementary school for new students and a religious-based literacy school is part of the institution's resources. How does SD IT Darul Hikmah deal with the challenges of human resource development in this century? By using a literacy approach and interviews conducted directly with the principal and teachers as sources, a qualitative descriptive method is used in this paper. The data collected shows that the resources owned by the principal have the ability to act as a leader in the management of Islamic educational institutions
DISTINGSI DAN TANTANGAN MA’HAD ALY DALAM PUSARAN STANDARISASI: STUDI KOMPARATIF TERHADAP RESPONS MA’HAD ALY ATAS IMPLEMENTASI PMA NO. 32 TAHUN 2020
Following the enactment of Ministerial Regulation (PMA) Number 32 of 2020, Ma’had Aly faces a dilemma between maintaining its academic independence and adapting to institutional standards set by the government. In this context, two Ma’had Aly institutions located in Jombang — Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng and Ma’had Aly Tarbiyatunnasyi’in Pacul Gowang — have shown different responses to the policy. Hasyim Asy’ari emphasizes a systematic academic management in the field of hadith, while Tarbiyatunnasyi’in adopts a cultural and spiritual approach in the cultivation of tasawwuf. As an Islamic higher education institution rooted in the pesantren tradition, Ma’had Aly serves to preserve the continuity of classical Islamic scholarly traditions through the study of turath (classical texts). Unlike conventional Islamic boarding schools, Ma’had Aly has a more structured educational system, complete with academic levels, tracks, and specific fields of specialization. This study aims to examine how Ma’had Aly responds to the demands of formal regulations and the challenges of globalization in the education sector, without losing its identity as an institution devoted to tafaqquh fi al-din (deep understanding of religion)
PERAN ADMINISTRASI KURIKULUM DALAM MENINGKATKAN EFEKTIVITAS PROSES PEMBELAJARAN DI SEKOLAH
Curriculum administration also plays a role in improving teacher professionalism. With structured management, teachers can more easily understand their duties and responsibilities, and receive support in the form of training, supervision, and periodic evaluation. This study aims to examine the role of curriculum administration in improving the effectiveness of the learning process in schools. Curriculum administration has a strategic function in designing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating learning activities so that they run in accordance with educational goals. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in the school environment. The results of the study indicate that well-organized curriculum administration can improve the quality of learning planning, integration between subjects, and clarity of teacher task division. In addition, the support of curriculum administration in monitoring and evaluating learning contributes directly to improving teacher performance and student learning outcomes. Thus, curriculum administration has an important role as the main support in creating an effective and sustainable learning process
TRANSFORMASIONAL LEADERSHIP UNTUK MENGEMBANGKAN BUDAYA ORGANISASI YANG INKLUSIF DALAM PENDIDIKAN
Transformational leadership is not only relevant in the business context but also in education, especially in promoting a more inclusive culture. This study is expected to provide practical implications for educational leaders in implementing effective transformational leadership strategies. Thus, there is a need for further study on how transformational leadership practices can be effectively implemented in schools. This study aims to analyze transformational leadership styles that can facilitate an environment to encourage inclusiveness and diversity. The main focus lies on identifying effective leadership strategies in creating a supportive atmosphere. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results show that the effectiveness of implementing this leadership style is highly dependent on understanding the local context, consistent policy support, and the ability to overcome resistance and resource constraints. Successful inclusive strategies include effective communication, involvement of all stakeholders, continuous learning, and periodic program evaluation. Collaboration between leaders is also key to strengthening implementation and expanding positive impacts
EFL TEACHERS’ CHALLENGES IN TEACHING SPEAKING AT SMAN 3 BANJARMASIN
In Indonesia, English is taught as a foreign language. EFL students typically study English only in formal educational settings such as classroom and have limited opportunities to practice speaking the language in real-life situation. Hence, English teacher particularly in EFL countries, teaching speaking skills can be challenging. The objective of this is to identify specific teaching challenges and the efforts taken by teachers to address them. A qualitative descriptive method was used, involving interviews, observations, and documentation with two English teachers. The findings reveal seven key challenges: noise level, students speaking L1 language inappropriate time, limited time, unengaged students, the role of exposure in English, handling lower English classes and large class. To address these issues, teachers implemented five main strategies: keep student in the target language, using group work, making a careful choice of topic, teachers are placed to provide comprehensible input and activity on easy language. Many studies have focused only on the challenges in teaching speaking. However, they do not explain the efforts teacher used to overcome them. Analyzing the challenges and efforts in teaching speaking can provide understanding of how teacher overcome these challenges in classroom
PERAN PENGEMBANGAN KEPROFESIAN BERKELANJUTAN (PKB) DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMITMEN KERJA GURU
Education is the most crucial part of the progress of a nation. In the education component, an educator is called a teacher, an essential profession for implementing the best education. This research aims to describe the role of continuous professional development in increasing teacher work commitment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research explain that the role of PKB is essential in increasing teacher work commitment through training, innovative work, and scientific publications. In terms of implementing personal development, teachers who are continuously motivated by the school principal carry out quality improvements independently by participating in independent training, online training, and webinars. Teachers make good contributions through the educational unit environment and the community environment, with parents and fellow teachers in KKG, MGMP, and other teacher organizations. Carrying out innovative work, making scientific work publications, and implementing self-development, which are aspects of Sustainable Professional Development and a form of loyalty of the teachers at the Mulia Medan Private Elementary School, the principal continues to support and motivate teachers to increase their work commitment through developing the teacher's competency
SKILL VS DEGREE: RELEVANSI GELAR AKADEMIK DALAM DINAMIKA PASAR KERJA KONTEMPORER
The implications of this debate are significant for individuals in planning career paths, educational institutions in designing curricula, and employers in their talent management strategies. While academic degrees are still often seen as a foundation of knowledge and evidence of learning ability and commitment, employers are increasingly prioritizing candidates who can demonstrate applied competencies relevant to immediate operational needs. This research investigates the comparative relevance between practical skills and academic degrees in the contemporary Indonesian job market, using Human Capital Theory as a foundation. Through a mixed-methods comparative design (surveys, interviews, content analysis) of employers, job seekers and employees, the study found significant preference shifts. Results show employers consistently prioritize practical relevant skills in recruitment and compensation determination, although a degree is still considered important as an initial foundation. Skills proved to be a stronger predictor of recruitment success
KARAKTERISTIK KEPEMIMPINAN DALAM PENGELOLAAN LEMBAGA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM SWASTA (STUDI KASUS DI SD ISLAM AL MUTTAQIN)
In Islamic educational institutions, the role of leaders has a very strategic position in realizing the institutional vision. Leadership is a key element that drives the dynamics of an institution or organization. A leader is required to have the ability to anticipate change, manage resources effectively, and direct organizational strategies in realizing the institutional vision, especially in terms of developing institutional quality, improving the quality of human resources, and strengthening competitiveness in various sectors. The quality of leadership significantly affects the direction and achievement of institutional goals. This study aims to explain the characteristics of leadership in the management of private Islamic educational institutions through a case study at SD Islam Al Muttaqin. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and case study method. This study explains the characteristics of effective leadership in Islamic educational institutions emphasizing Islamic values such as monotheism, Amanah and responsibility and deliberation. Supporting factors in leadership are communication, work motivation, exemplary behavior and reward-punishment systems. The results of the study indicate that the success of the institution is greatly influenced by the quality of visionary, fair, and inspiring leadership in managing resources and involving all elements of the school
PENGARUH TEAMWORK TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SMP YAMAMA BANDAR LAMPUNG
Armstrong and Baron's theory states that teacher performance can be influenced by individual factors (personal factors), leadership factors (leadership factors), group factors / colleagues / work teams (team factors), system factors (system factors), and situational factors (contextual / situational factors). Teamwork that is formed in general will certainly lead to performance. However, in the realm of education, it is not necessarily able to bring out good performance as expected. The purpose in writing this article is to examine more deeply the influence of teamwork on the performance of teaching staff at Yamama Lampung Junior High School. The method used in writing this scientific article uses quantitative research methods, using ex post facto techniques or models. The population in this study amounted to 55 people with sampling techniques using the Krejcie & Morgan formula or table and sampling around 43 respondents. The results obtained based on the data and research results show that there is a negative and insignificant influence between the work team on teacher performance at Yamama Lampung Junior High School. The teacher work team at Yamama Lampung Junior High School that has been formed looks good and solid, so it will not affect the high or low performance of teachers in carrying out their main duties
