AUGMENTED REALITY IN LEARNING AS AN IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRESSIVISM EDUCATION IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION: A LITERATURE REVIEW
This study aims to analyze how the application of Augmented Reality (AR) in vocational education represents the principles of progressivism learning and to identify its pedagogical impacts, opportunities, and challenges. Using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) approach, sixteen relevant research articles published in Sinta 1 and Sinta 2 accredited journals between 2021 and 2025 were systematically reviewed. The findings indicate that AR implementation in vocational education strongly embodies progressivist principles by fostering experiential, student-centered, and technology-integrated learning. AR enhances conceptual understanding, practical skills, and learning motivation while promoting creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities aligned with Dewey’s learning by doing philosophy. Moreover, AR supports contextual and reflective learning environments that prepare students for industrial and technological realities. However, challenges remain in teacher digital competence, development costs, and limited infrastructure. Overall, AR serves as a progressive pedagogical innovation that bridges theory and practice in vocational education, and its transformative potential can be fully realized through systemic readiness, institutional support, and equitable access to digital technology

The implementation of this integration is carried out collaboratively by the principal, teachers, and foundation, supported by a religious school culture and a conducive academic environment. The impact is reflected in the improvement of students’ discipline, responsibility, independence, and positive social interaction skills. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited facilities, varied teacher competencies in applying student-centered learning, and low motivation among some students. The study concludes that directed and consistent curriculum management significantly contributes to the internalization of character values through the UNESCO Four Pillars
PEMANFAATAN MEDIA SOSIAL DALAM MANAJEMEN HUBUNGAN MASYARAKAT UNTUK MEMBANGUN BRAND AWARENESS PERGURUAN TINGGI
Brand awareness is not only measured by logo recognition, but also by the qualitative associations formed in the minds of stakeholders regarding the academic image, research quality, and social value offered by the institution. Objective: This study aims to examine the use of social media in Higher Education Public Relations (PR) management to build brand awareness. Methods: The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design of publications from 2015–2024 retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and DOAJ. Data were analyzed using Thematic Content Analysis to identify strategies, impacts, and challenges. Results: Social media has been shown to enhance institutional visibility, brand identity, and public engagement. Platforms such as Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and YouTube contribute differently to dimensions of brand awareness, including recognition, recall, and top-of-mind awareness. However, challenges arise in content management, digital crisis response, misinformation, and measurement limitations. Novelty: This study proposes the Smart PR-Equity Model, an integrated framework combining symmetrical communication, multiplatform strategies, and digital brand equity indicators to strengthen higher education institutional reputation sustainably
IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERNUANSA ISLAMI SEBAGAI SARANA PENGUATAN NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DI SMP NEGERI 1 LUHAK NAN DUO
Objective: This study aims to examine critically the implementation of Islamic-nuanced mathematics learning media as a means of strengthening Islamic Religious Education (PAI) values at SMP Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo. Methods: This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with mathematics teachers and students, and documentation analysis of lesson plans and learning media. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Results: The findings reveal that the implementation of Islamic-nuanced mathematics learning media has not been carried out optimally. The integration of Islamic values tends to be incidental, not systematically planned, and largely depends on individual teacher initiatives. Limitations in teachers’ competencies, time constraints, and the absence of specific school policies hinder the effective use of such media in strengthening PAI values. Novelty: This study provides a critical insight into the managerial gaps in integrating Islamic values through mathematics learning media in public junior high schools, highlighting the need for systematic management support rather than solely pedagogical efforts
EVALUATING ISLAMIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS: A CONCEPTUAL AND NARRATIVE REVIEW OF PRINCIPLES, FRAMEWORKS, AND IMPLEMENTATION
Islamic education programs operate within complex educational environments that demand both measurable accountability and the preservation of Islamic moral spiritual values, creating distinctive challenges for program evaluation. This study aims to critically synthesize and conceptualize scholarly perspectives on the evaluation of Islamic education programs by examining their underlying principles, dominant frameworks, and implementation practices. Employing a conceptual and narrative literature review design, relevant studies published between 2018 and 2025 in internationally indexed and nationally accredited journals were purposively selected and thematically analyzed to identify convergent and divergent patterns. The findings reveal that evaluation practices in Islamic education remain largely dominated by outcome-based and accountability-driven models, often driven by external quality assurance and accreditation requirements, which inadequately represent holistic educational aims such as ethical formation and spiritual development. At the same time, the literature consistently emphasizes value-based evaluation principles grounded in Islamic educational philosophy, including holistic human development, moral accountability, and maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, yet these principles are rarely operationalized within coherent evaluative frameworks
