Objective: The sesan tradition is part of Lampung's traditional wedding ceremonies and is still preserved today, particularly in Negeri Ulangan Jaya Village, Negeri Katon District. This tradition is considered a form of respect for the principle of kinship in Lampung's traditional society. Sesan refers to the practice of the bride's family bringing various household items and furnishings to the groom's home prior to the wedding ceremony. These items are generally purchased using honest money previously given by the groom's family during the proposal, but they are also often obtained from contributions from the bride's relatives, so the total value of the sesan often exceeds the honest money itself. This study aims to examine in depth the meaning, concept, and purpose of the sesan tradition in Lampung's Pepadun traditional weddings, while also analyzing the factors influencing its size. With this approach, it is hoped that the philosophical and cultural values embedded in this tradition can be understood and preserved. Specifically, this study aims to reveal the meaning of sesan, describe its implementation, explain its objectives, and identify various aspects that influence the determination of sesan values in the context of Lampung Pepadun customs

The cultivation of manners and independence is a fundamental aspect of character education in Islamic boarding schools, especially for female students in their teenage years who are developing their personal identity. Within the dormitory setting, musyrifahs play a strategic role as mentors, guides, supervisors, and role models in shaping the students’ behavior and daily discipline. This study aims to analyze the role of musyrifah as dormitory mentors in fostering manners and independence among female students at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Wustha Islamic Centre Bin Baz Putri Yogyakarta. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research explores daily interactions, dormitory regulations, and religious values that contribute to character formation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that musyrifahs play three main roles: as uswatun hasanah (exemplary figures), as mentors in instilling manners and worship practices, and as supervisors ensuring daily discipline. Manners are developed through habituation, modeling, and direct advice, while independence is built through personal responsibility, collective activities, and a tiered supervision system. Supporting factors include the pesantren’s Salafi-based culture, emotional closeness between musyrifah and students, and a structured evaluation system of manners

Generation Z is beginning to dominate the workforce and brings unique characteristics such as high digital literacy, a focus on flexibility, a need for meaningful work, and a preference for open and participatory communication. This situation requires organizations to adapt their leadership styles to optimally manage their potential. This study aims to analyze the application of collaborative leadership in managing the Generation Z workforce and identify emerging challenges and opportunities in efforts to improve motivation, productivity, and work engagement. This study used a literature review method by examining scientific articles, global employment survey reports, and academic studies related to leadership and workforce generations. The results show that collaborative leadership is effective in building an inclusive work culture, encouraging active participation, and increasing innovation through trust-based relationships and two-way communication. However, its implementation still faces challenges such as value gaps between generations, demands for rapid feedback, and structural adaptations in organizations that are still hierarchical. On the other hand, these challenges can be strategic opportunities through the use of collaborative technology, adaptive leadership training, and designing flexible work systems that suit the needs of the younger generation

This study aims to analyze Islamic education reform in the Indonesian archipelago and the contributions of Indonesian Islamic educational thought in responding to social change and modern challenges. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from relevant books and scholarly articles and analyzed through content and comparative analysis. The findings indicate that Islamic education reform has developed gradually through a dialectical process between the preservation of classical traditions and the demands of modernity, reflected in institutional reform, the integration of religious and general sciences, and the reconstruction of educational paradigms. Indonesian Islamic educational thought demonstrates a continuous reform trajectory, moving from the reinforcement of moral values toward systemic reform and epistemological integration grounded in Islamic principles. The novelty of this study lies in its positioning of Islamic education reform as an evolutionary and complementary process rather than a dichotomy between tradition and modernity, highlighting its relevance for developing an integrative, moderate, and globally adaptive Islamic education framework

Indonesia, as a nation based on Pancasila, upholds ethical values, morals, and human rights, maintains harmony among its citizens, fosters cooperation, and respects differences, symbols, religion, race, skin color, and so on. This country is incredibly rich in cultural, religious, ethnic, and linguistic diversity. Amidst this reality, schools serve as a strategic space for fostering mutual respect, tolerance, and a sense of community. However, educational practices often do not fully reflect the values of equality and justice due to persistent stereotypes, cultural bias, and unequal access. This paper aims to explain the concept of multicultural-based character education and its implementation strategies for building inclusive and equitable schools. The writing method uses a library research approach through a review of relevant theories and literature. The study results indicate that multicultural-based character education can be implemented through curriculum integration, dialogic learning strategies, an inclusive school culture, and partnerships between schools, families, and the community. With the right strategies, schools can become safe and equitable spaces for all students without discrimination

This study identifies and thoroughly analyzes the disparity in competencies between the knowledge gained during higher education and the demands of the professional world among alumni of the Business Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan (FE Unimed). Employing a quantitative descriptive-analytic approach, data was collected through questionnaires from 127 alumni who graduated between 2021 and 2024. The research results explicitly indicate varying competency gaps. The most significant gap was found in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (gap = 1.02). Furthermore, gaps were also identified in Pedagogical Competence (gap = 0.09), Adaptation and Problem Solving (gap = 0.09), and Managerial Competence (gap = 0.08), all of which are categorized as high priority for improvement. Meanwhile, Information Technology Skills (gap = 0.09) and Communication and Collaboration (gap = 0.09) showed moderate gaps, and Professional Ethics (gap = 0.05) demonstrated the lowest gap. These findings underscore the urgency for curriculum adjustment, strengthening of practice-based learning methods, and increased strategic collaboration with industry stakeholders. No full text
This research aims to explore student recruitment strategies based on the quality of Islamic educational services and their implications. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interactive model, with service quality strategies analyzed through five ServQual dimensions that were reconceptualized within an Islamic values framework, measured using core service indicators whose results were then contextualized for their ethical accountability with Islamic values. Research findings indicate that incorporating Islamic values into ServQual dimensions produces progressive and comprehensive service strategy formulations. This approach successfully constructs a holistic educational ecosystem that is adaptive to students' academic, spiritual, and emotional needs. This research also presents recommendations for a comprehensive approach in measuring Islamic values-based educational service quality mechanisms. Strategic implications of this implementation include improvements in both academic and non-academic student achievement, an inclusive learning environment, strengthened institutional reputation, increased stakeholder satisfaction, and consistent increases in the number of applicants
