The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is one of the Indonesian government's strategic initiatives under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, aimed at improving the nutritional status of school-age children and strengthening the foundation of education in preparation for the Golden Generation 2045. This article critically analyzes the implementation of the MBG program, focusing on the perspectives and experiences of elementary school teachers as key actors in educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review. The findings indicate that the program is well-received by teachers as it is perceived to enhance student motivation, improve attendance, and support daily nutritional intake, particularly in underdeveloped areas. However, challenges exist in terms of logistics, inadequate school infrastructure, and the program's insufficient integration with teaching and the curriculum. A philosophical analysis based on rationalism indicates that this policy represents a rational decision based on the actual needs of society, although it still faces limitations in rationality during implementation (bounded rationality). From a public policy ethics perspective, the MBG program reflects the principles of justice and social equity, but requires improvements in transparency, accountability, and fiscal sustainability to avoid overburdening the national budget

In the context of education, needs assessment serves as a basis for developing relevant and priority development plans. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of data-driven needs assessment in the development planning process of SMAN 1 Sampanahan. Effective educational planning should begin with an accurate assessment of needs to ensure that school policies and programs align with the actual conditions of the educational unit. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that SMAN 1 Sampanahan has utilized various assessment tools such as internal surveys, academic performance data, and program evaluation results to identify priority needs. The assessment process involves school principals, teachers, and the school committee as key stakeholders. However, challenges remain in data integration and consistency of need reporting across departments. These findings highlight the importance of data literacy capacity to support needs-based planning at the school level. This study recommends strengthening digital-based assessment systems and providing data-driven decision-making training for educators and school personnel

The focus of the research is directed at three main aspects: the implementation of preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities in accordance with the process standards of the Merdeka Curriculum integrated with the school’s curriculum. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with the subject being a Grade IV-B teacher. Data were collected through observation, structured interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using Miles & Huberman’s model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with verification. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that in the preliminary stage, the teacher was able to start the lesson effectively using stimulating questions and initial assessment, although improvement is needed in connecting the material to students’ daily life experiences. In the core stage, the teacher applied active, integrative, and interactive learning steps using student-centered models, yet adaptation to individual differences among students was still limited. In the closing stage, the teacher conducted reflection and collaboratively drew conclusions with students. This study provides empirical insights into the application of new peer teaching integrated with the Merdeka Curriculum in an Islamic-based school context

    No full text
This study aims to analyze teachers’ strategies in utilizing Kamus Hiwari as a learning medium to address the problems of isti‘mal mastery (contextual vocabulary use) among tenth-grade Islamic students at MA Jamilurrahman. The research stems from the observation that students’ functional use of Arabic vocabulary remains low due to the dominance of rote-learning approaches in language instruction. A qualitative descriptive method with a field study design was employed, collecting data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Arabic language teaching activities. The findings reveal that teachers implement three primary strategies in using Kamus Hiwari: meaning contextualization, collaborative learning, and integrative-evaluative strategies. These approaches effectively enhance students’ ability to understand and apply vocabulary within real communication contexts. However, several challenges were identified, including limited instructional time, passive dictionary use, and varying levels of vocabulary proficiency among students. To address these issues, teachers conducted contextual dictionary training, applied thematic vocabulary lists, and employed peer tutoring systems. The study concludes that the effectiveness of Kamus Hiwari depends largely on teachers’ creativity and pedagogical awareness in transforming it from a mere reference tool into a communicative learning medium that fosters contextual isti‘mal proficiency
