    PARADOKS KEBIJAKAN PUSAT DALAM PENGEMBANGAN SARANA PENDIDIKAN ISLAM

    This research aims to analyze the dynamics of central government policies in the development of Islamic education facilities and infrastructure and to uncover the paradox between established regulations and their implementation in the field. This research uses a qualitative approach with the library research method. Data were obtained from government policy documents, legislation, and relevant journal articles and scientific books related to education policy and the management of Islamic educational facilities and infrastructure. Data analysis was conducted descriptively-analytically through a conceptual meta-analysis approach to identify policy patterns, implementation trends, and their implications for Islamic educational institutions. The research results indicate that, normatively, the central government's policies regarding the development of Islamic education facilities and infrastructure are in line with the mandate of laws and regulations and National Education Standards. However, at the implementation level, policy paradoxes are still found, characterized by weak coordination between the central and regional governments in the context of regional autonomy. This condition often leaves madrasahs in a vacuum of responsibility, resulting in suboptimal fulfillment and management of facilities and infrastructure. The difficulties of digitizing learning, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, have made the gaps in infrastructure and technological literacy in Islamic schools even more clear

    This study aims to examine and reveal the extent to which the quality of academic administrative services affects student satisfaction at MAN Purworejo. Student satisfaction is considered one of the key indicators of the success of academic administrative services provided by the school. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population of this study consists of all eleventh-grade students of MAN Purworejo, totaling 357 students. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in a sample of 189 students. Data analysis was conducted using classical assumption tests, including the normality test and linearity test, to ensure that the data met the requirements for statistical analysis. Furthermore, hypothesis testing was carried out using the t-test (partial test). The results of the analysis show that the significance value of the t-test is 0.001, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05. This indicates that the quality of academic administrative services has a significant effect on student satisfaction at MAN Purworejo. Therefore, the hypothesis stating that there is a significant influence of the quality of academic administrative services on student satisfaction is accepted, highlighting the importance of improving the quality of academic administrative services to enhance student satisfactio

    Improving the quality of learning in Vocational High Schools (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/SMK) is a strategic challenge in strengthening vocational education in Indonesia. The Center of Excellence Vocational School Program (SMK Pusat Keunggulan/SMK PK) has been introduced as a transformative initiative to enhance the relevance of vocational education to industry needs and technological development. However, the success of this program is not determined solely by technical and policy aspects, but also by the philosophical foundations that guide teaching and learning practices. This article aims to examine the relevance of educational philosophy in improving learning quality within the context of SMK Pusat Keunggulan. The study employs a literature review method with an analytical and reflective approach to educational philosophy and vocational education practices. The findings indicate that educational philosophy—particularly pragmatism, progressivism, and humanism—provides a normative and conceptual foundation for contextual, learner-centered, and competency-oriented learning. The integration of these philosophical perspectives supports meaningful learning experiences and contributes to the development of skilled, adaptive, and ethically grounded vocational graduates. Therefore, educational philosophy plays a crucial role in strengthening learning quality and ensuring the sustainability of the SMK Pusat Keunggulan program

    This research aims to understand the influence of digital technology on national leadership by identifying opportunities, analyzing challenges, and providing recommendations for policy makers in facing changes triggered by digital transformation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method through literature study to analyze the impact of digital technology on national leadership based on credible and relevant sources. Advances in digital technology bring significant opportunities in leadership by enhancing more effective communication, supporting transparency, and facilitating accurate, data-based decision making. These opportunities include accelerating communication in leadership, increasing transparency in government, and utilizing data for more informed decision making. On the other hand, the application of digital technology in government also faces various challenges, such as cyber security, digital access gaps between regions, as well as ethical and data privacy issues that need to be addressed to ensure the transformation is effective and inclusive. Digital technology has a significant impact on national leadership by creating opportunities such as accelerated communications, increased transparency, and data-based decision making, but also faces serious challenges such as digital access gaps, cybersecurity, and data privacy that require attention and a holistic approach

    The objectives of this research are; 1) to find out how P5 is planned at MIN 3 Sukoharjo; 2) to find out how P5 is implemented at MIN 3 Sukoharjo; 3) to find out the P5 evaluation at MIN 3 Sukoharjo. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the Miles & Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Testing the validity of the data in this research uses a data credibility test with extended observations, increasing persistence and triangulation. The results of this research are that the implementation of P5 at MIN 3 Sukoharjo includes 3 stages, namely; stage 1) Planning, including; designing time allocation, forming an implementation team, determining the topic or theme, determining the model to be used, and designing the P5 module; 2) Implementation, P5 is carried out in all classes from class 1 to class 6 with each class teacher in charge with the stages of project introduction, explanation of objectives, explanation of steps and art performance/work title; 3) evaluation, evaluation is carried out by the teacher in charge of P5 in each class in the form of phase assessment rubrics, daily journals, assessment rubrics, presentations, portfolio assessment rubrics, and final assessment rubrics in formative and summative assessments

    This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the role of transformational leadership of school principals in improving teacher discipline in elementary schools. The background of this research is the importance of teacher discipline in creating a positive school culture and quality learning, despite the fact that some teachers remain inconsistent in complying with school rules and carrying out their duties properly. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at SD Negeri Rancaekek 05, Bandung Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. Informants included the school principal, teachers, and educational staff, selected through purposive sampling. Results: The findings reveal that principals who adopt transformational leadership styles are able to improve teacher discipline through four key dimensions: serving as role models (idealized influence), inspiring motivation and vision (inspirational motivation), encouraging innovation (intellectual stimulation), and providing individualized support (individualized consideration). This leadership approach emphasizes not only adherence to rules but also the internal motivation of teachers and the creation of a supportive working environment

    The principal's assertive behavior is an important factor that has the potential to influence teacher work motivation, through the ability to communicate openly, provide constructive appreciation, make decisions wisely, and deal with differences of opinion without conflict. Teacher work motivation is a crucial factor in creating effective and quality learning. However, low teacher motivation is still found in some schools, indicated by a lack of enthusiasm in teaching and participation in professional activities. This study aims to examine the assertive behavior of school principals, the level of teacher work motivation, and the influence of principals' assertive behavior on teacher motivation in high schools or equivalent in Gondangwetan sub-district. This research employs an associative quantitative approach using a survey method, involving 65 teachers selected from 188 teachers across 10 schools through purposive sampling. The analysis results show that the assertive behavior of school principals has a positive and significant effect on teacher work motivation (regression coefficient = 0.845; contribution 69%). These findings emphasize that leadership characterized by open communication and professional appreciation of teachers can significantly enhance teacher work motivation

    One of the important aspects often raised in literary works is gender representation, particularly that of women. Within the structure of a patriarchal society, women are frequently positioned as the Other or as subordinate parties, confined to the domestic sphere and portrayed as passive or emotional. This study discusses the issue of women as the Other in Han Kang’s novel The Vegetarian from the perspective of Simone de Beauvoir’s existentialist feminism. This novel was chosen because it depicts a female character, Yeong-hye, who is positioned as the Other from a male perspective. The study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, using data sources in the form of quotations from the novel, and data collection techniques through close reading and note-taking, which were then analyzed using Beauvoir’s existentialist feminist theory. The findings indicate that Yeong-hye is constructed as the Other through acts of objectification and subordination by men, which reinforce patriarchal dominance in controlling women’s bodies and negating their subjectivity. Literature can serve as both a reflective and critical medium to highlight social realities, including gender injustice, as well as offer alternative perspectives on women’s freedom and identity

    One of the fundamental skills that significantly determines students' future learning success is reading literacy. Reading literacy is not only defined as the ability to recognize letters or words, but also encompasses understanding, interpretation, analysis, and the ability to connect information from texts with existing knowledge. This study aims to analyze the reading literacy skills of students at SDN 29 Rantau Batu Pasar, literacy development efforts, and the inhibiting factors that influence them. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with teachers, students, the principal, and parents. The results showed that most students had literacy skills at the elementary to secondary level, with a small number still experiencing difficulties. Inhibiting factors included low reading interest, limited reading materials, and a lack of variety in learning methods. This study concluded that improving reading literacy can be achieved through the provision of reading facilities, parental involvement, and the use of innovative learning methods

    Research spreads the use of social media among grade IX students of SMPN 4 Malangke is growing rapidly. That social media is generally used by students to find new friends and as a means of communicating with friends who are far away. However, this development has a significant influence on the learning process in the classroom. This study uses an ex-post facto approach, which means that data collection is carried out after all the events or facts studied have occurred without any intervention or treatment from the researcher. The data in this study were collected through three main methods, namely: questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The PAI learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Malangke showed a decline in achievement. This is strongly suspected to be related to the negative impact of the use of social media which affects PAI learning values. The use of social media by grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Malangke has a negative influence on their learning outcomes. This conclusion is supported by the results of statistical calculations using t-test analysis. The t-count value (7.942) was obtained which was greater than the t-table value (2.042), so the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of social media on the learning outcomes of grade IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Malangke.
