    Objective: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs at Pasaman Barat Vocational Training Center (BLK) using the Kirkpatrick Model framework from a managerial leadership perspective. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, supported by quantitative data from 129 participants trained in 2024 across four vocational fields: Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, and Automotive Engineering. Data show that 11,63% of trainees gained employment after training, and 54,26% obtained BNSP certification. The analysis applied the four levels of the Kirkpatrick Model Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Result linked with the managerial and participatory leadership style of the BLK director. Findings reveal that program effectiveness remains suboptimal, particularly at the behavior and result levels related to job placement and industrial competence improvement. Managerial leadership plays a significant role in enhancing instructor motivation, cross-department collaboration, and quality assurance. The study recommends strengthening post-training monitoring, increasing collaboration with industries, and enhancing leadership capacity among BLK managers to sustain training effectiveness

    This study aims to describe the implementation of the shalat dhuha activity in shaping the religious character of first-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Islamic Centre Bin Baz Yogyakarta. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with first-grade teachers as the research subjects, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques, while data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that shalat dhuha is performed collectively after the halaqah tahfidz through the talaqqi method in which the teacher guides the recitation and movements for students to imitate, fostering discipline, gratitude, and positive moral habits. Challenges such as limited focus and time constraints were addressed through strengthened supervision and schedule adjustments. The novelty of this study lies in its detailed description of integrating shalat dhuha as a routine instructional practice to cultivate early religious character formation, particularly through the effective application of the talaqqi method for lower-grade MI students

    This study aims to analyze teacher management in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Miftahul Ulum Bondowoso. The research focuses on how the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of teacher management are carried out and how these processes contribute to school quality improvement. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed naturalistically to obtain an in-depth understanding of the existing phenomena. The findings indicate that teacher management at the madrasah has been implemented fairly well, covering recruitment, placement, professional development, and supervision, although weaknesses remain, particularly in the selectivity of recruitment and alignment between teachers’ competencies and teaching assignments. Furthermore, quality management implementation at the madrasah is realized through collaborative vision–mission planning, strengthened teamwork, and improvement of student outcomes through instructional programs, relevant curriculum use, and optimal utilization of learning facilities. The novelty of this study lies in its finding that the success of quality improvement is strongly influenced by the strength of teamwork and the consistent application of a quality culture through PDCA-based cycles

    This study aims to determine the level of Smart TV utilization in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning, the level of students’ learning motivation, and the effect of Smart TV use on the learning motivation of 11th-grade students at MA AL-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of 89 students, and a sample of 73 respondents was selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire, validated and tested for reliability, and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS 25. The findings reveal that Smart TV utilization is categorized as high with an average score of 84.21, while students’ SKI learning motivation falls into the moderate-to-high category with an average score of 79.81. Regression analysis indicates a significant positive effect of Smart TV use on learning motivation, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The R Square value of 0.300 shows that Smart TV contributes 30% to the variation in learning motivation. The implication is that Smart TV serves as an effective learning medium to enhance SKI learning motivation through visual, audio, and interactive digital content. Schools and teachers are encouraged to continue optimizing this technology to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences

    The development of human civilization is characterized by efforts to balance technological progress with fundamental human values. In this context, collaboration between the government and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) is crucial for creating human resources (HR) who are not only intellectually superior but also possess strong moral and spiritual character. This study aims to examine the forms of collaboration between the government and Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in developing HR capable of adapting to digital change, as well as examining the various challenges and opportunities that arise during the transition to Society 5.0. The research method used is a qualitative approach through library research, by reviewing various references such as books, scientific articles, policy reports, and relevant online sources. The research findings indicate that the government has a strategic role in formulating policies and providing competency improvement programs for Islamic boarding school HR. Meanwhile, Islamic boarding schools play a crucial role in shaping the character, work ethic, and spirituality of students

    This study aims to determine the relationship between assertive behavior and learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject among tenth-grade students at MA Al-Islam Jamsaren, Surakarta. A quantitative correlational approach was used, involving the entire population (66 students) as the sample. Assertive behavior was measured using a validated questionnaire, while Fiqh learning outcomes were obtained from semester report card scores. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests (normality and linearity), and hypothesis testing with Pearson correlation. The results indicate that students’ assertive behavior is in the moderate category, with an average score of 125.03. The average Fiqh score is 79.83 (classified as good), with class X-1 having the highest mean (80.41). Pearson correlation testing yielded r = -0.315 with p = 0.010 (< 0.05), indicating a significant but weak relationship between assertive behavior and Fiqh learning outcomes. The relationship is negative, meaning higher assertiveness tends to be associated with slightly lower learning outcomes, although the correlation is relatively weak. These findings imply that students’ assertive behavior plays a role in the learning process, but its impact on Fiqh academic achievement is not strong. Teachers and schools are advised to continue fostering assertiveness through active learning strategies while also addressing other factors that may affect learning outcomes

    This study examines the influence of TikTok social media usage on learning achievement in the Aqidah Akhlak subject among eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Prof Hamka Madiun in the 2024/2025 academic year. A quantitative correlational approach was employed with 31 students as respondents. Data were collected using a TikTok usage questionnaire (a validated and reliable instrument) and documentation of students’ Aqidah Akhlak report scores. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and simple linear regression, preceded by classical assumption tests (normality and linearity). The results indicated that TikTok usage among students was high (55% of students), while their Aqidah Akhlak performance was generally moderate (39% of students in the medium category). Regression analysis revealed a significant positive influence of TikTok usage on learning achievement (r = 0.813, p < 0.05). TikTok usage accounted for approximately 66% of the variance in Aqidah Akhlak scores. In conclusion, the use of TikTok has a significant positive effect on students’ learning achievement in Aqidah Akhlak. Students who more frequently engage with TikTok—especially for educational content—tend to achieve higher academic performance in that subject. It is suggested that TikTok be utilized as an innovative learning medium under proper guidance to enhance learning outcomes

    This study aims to evaluate and formulate the direction of development of the Arabic language education curriculum using the CIPP Model (Context, Input, Process, Product) approach. This research uses a literature study method by systematically examining various scientific literature, the results of previous research, and policy documents related to the Arabic curriculum and learning. The results of the study show that in the context dimension, the Arabic curriculum still tends to be oriented towards a grammatical approach and is not fully responsive to the needs of students and contemporary educational dynamics. From the input aspect, the implementation of the curriculum is greatly influenced by the readiness of human resources, especially the pedagogical competence of teachers, the availability of contextual teaching materials, and the support of institutional facilities and policies. The process evaluation revealed that Arabic learning practices are still dominated by teacher-centered methods with the use of communicative approaches and limited learning technology. Meanwhile, in the product dimension, it was found that there was a gap between the curriculum objectives and the achievement of students' competencies, especially in applicable language skills. This study emphasizes that the development of the Arabic language education curriculum needs to be carried out comprehensively and sustainably by making CIPP evaluation as the basis for curriculum improvement, learning, and assessment systems

    Children’s character education is a fundamental aspect of Islamic Religious Education (PAI), especially in the context of increasingly complex globalization challenges, the rapid negative impact of digital technology development, and the growing moral crisis. The Prophetic Hadith, as the second primary source of Islamic teachings after the Qur’an, plays a strategic role in the process of shaping children’s personalities and character comprehensively. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Prophetic Hadith in the formation of children’s character, using a holistic and multidisciplinary approach in PAI learning. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research. Primary data were obtained from authoritative Hadith collections, while secondary data were drawn from relevant books and national and international scholarly journals. The findings indicate that the Prophetic Hadith contains universal principles for shaping children’s character that transcend time and can be effectively internalized through integrative and holistic PAI learning. Furthermore, a multidisciplinary approach in learning reinforces the relevance of Hadith values in the context of students’ development. This article is expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of Islamic Religious Education oriented toward the formation of children’s character

    ISLAMIC EDUCATION MANAGEMENT AND GRADUATE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT: EVALUATIVE INSIGHTS FROM THE LITERATURE

    Islamic education institutions are increasingly required to demonstrate graduate quality that reflects both strong religious values and competitive competencies in contemporary social and labor contexts. This study aims to critically evaluate the scholarly literature on Islamic education management and its contribution to graduate quality improvement. Adopting a narrative and evaluative literature review approach, this article synthesizes theoretical and empirical studies published between 2019 and 2025 in internationally indexed journals and reputable national journals. The analysis reveals that effective Islamic education management particularly value-based and transformational leadership, integrated curriculum management, and outcome-oriented quality assurance plays a significant role in enhancing graduate quality. However, the findings also indicate persistent challenges, including compliance driven evaluation practices, fragmented outcome assessment, and limited empirical linkage between management interventions and graduate centered indicators. The discussion highlights the need for more integrative evaluative frameworks that connect managerial effectiveness with holistic graduate outcomes encompassing intellectual competence, ethical formation, and employability. This study contributes by offering evaluative insights that clarify conceptual fragmentation in the literature and identify priority areas for future research
