Riswandi R, Muhakka M, Wijaya A, Imsya A, Karomah C. 2022. evaluation of the physical and phytochemical quality of the ration through the combination of leucaena and indigofera leaves. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 254-262. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Tree legume supplementation is a solution to improve the quality of rations in traditional ruminant rearing systems, because they contain high nutrients. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the physical and phytochemical quality of bento grass based rations through the combination of Lamtoro and Indigofera leaves. This research was conducted for 3 months at the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of R0 (70% Bento Rayap Grass + 30% Concentrate), R1 (40% Bento Rayap Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Leucaena leaves), R2 (40% Bento Rayap Grass + 30% Concentrate + 30% Indigofera) , R3 ( 40% Bento Rayap Grass + 30% Concentrate + 15% Leucaena leaves + 15% Indigofera). Parameters observed in the physical quality test were specific gravity (SG), pile density (PD), water absorption (WA) and moisture content (MC). Phytochemical analysis consists of tannins and saponins. The results of this study showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P0.05). Furthermore, the lowest content of SG (0.47 g/ml) and WA (381.71%) was obtained at R2, the highest PD (0.23 g/cm3) at R1. The highest concentration of tannins (3.16%) and saponins (2.08%) was obtained at R1. The conclusion of this study showed that the combination of 40% Bento Rayap grass + 30% concentrate + 30% Leucaena leaves could improve the physical and phytochemical quality of the ration

Novhela S, Liana L, Febriani B, Mubarok Z, Zahir MI, Umayah A, Gunawan B, Arsi A. 2022. Hemiptera species on water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 742-750. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Hemiptera species are insects that often found in water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica). The purpose of this study is to knowing the diversity of Hemiptera species in water spinach. This research method was carried out by field surveys in Timbangan Village, Sakatiga Village, and Tanjung Pering Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. Data from the research on the diversity of Hemiptera insects on water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were four Hemiptera species found in water spinach. The four Hemiptera species include Anasa Tritis (true ladybug), Bothrogonia ferruginea (pucung father), Boisea trivitta, and Gonocerus akutangulatus (box bugs). Based on the four species, three of them are insects that act as phytophages in the ecosystem of life, especially in the agricultural sector. While one other species is an insect that acts as a predator (natural enemy). So, the insects that are often found in water spinach plants (Ipomoea aquatica) are Hemiptera species insects that act as phytophagoes and predators. Suggestions that can be given from the results of this study are the need for more education and understanding of the community about the various Hemiptera species that found in water spinach, especially those that are pests in the villages of Scales, Sakatiga, and Tanjung Pering, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra

Sinaga DD, Rachel AU, Santika I, Rahayu PP, Rohman MA, Febryanto S. 2022. Management of corn plants (Zea mays) in three Ogan Ilir Villages, South Sumatra. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-10 Tahun 2022, Palembang 27 Oktober 2022. pp. 983-990. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Corn (Zea mays) is a commodity that is needed by the community as a source of food other than rice. The high demand for corn causes a lack of domestic production capacity. The purpose of this literature study is to examine the management system, types of varieties, and utilization of corn plants in three places, namely Timbangan, Palem Raya, and Tanjung Pering in Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The method used in this study uses descriptive data analysis and data collection and collection techniques by means of quantitative analysis such as surveys, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of interviews and surveys, farmers carry out various planting to harvesting and sales, ranging from the use of fertilizers, spacing, anticipation of pest attacks. The application of organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers to sweet corn plants in each of the places we surveyed was different. Because the doses given by farmers are different, it must be in accordance with the levels required by the corn plant in order to produce good corn. From this research, it can be concluded that the strategies used by farmers in the process of planting to harvesting their produce are different, thus affecting the income they get. In increasing corn production, farmers need to pay attention to maintaining the growth of corn from seed to harvesting

Sari, R.V., & Priyanto, G. (2023). Effect of mustard green leaves (Brassica chinensis) and seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii) proportions on nori characteristics. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang 21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 392-404). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The high demand for nori has resulted in increased imports of nori from abroad due to the small amount of Porphyra sp. seaweed that grows in Indonesia, so an alternative ingredients for making nori is needed. The objectives of the research were to analyze the effect of the proportion of mustard green leaves pulp (Brassica chinensis) and seaweed pulp (Eucheuma cottonii) on physical, chemical, and organoleptic characteristics of nori. This research used a factorial completely randomized design with two treatment factors, namely seaweed pulp proportion (A1= 40 % (160 g seaweed / 400 mL water), A2= 60 % (240 g seaweed / 400 mL water), A3= 80 % (320 g seaweed / 400 mL water)) and mustard green leaves pulp proportion (B1= 0 % (0 g mustard green leaves / 0 mL water), B2= 20 % (40 g mustard green leaves / 200 mL water), B3= 40 % (80 g mustard green leaves / 200 mL water), B4= 60 % (80 g mustard green leaves / 200 mL water). Observed parameters in this research include color (lightness, greenness, and yellowness), nori sheet hardness, chemical characteristics (moisture content, ash content), and organoleptics (color, flavor, and taste). The results showed that the proportion of seaweed pulp had a significant effect on the moisture content, ash content, and nori sheet hardness of the nori. The mustard green leaves pulp treatment has a significant effect on the color (lightness, greenness, and yellowness), ash content, and nori sheet hardness of the nori. Based on the results of the analysis showed that, the average value of the moisture content was 8.15 %-10.88 %, the ash content was 11.60 %-14.15 %, the nori sheet hardness was 133.53 gf-165.00 gf, lightness was 37.41-40.60, greenness was -3.33-1.34, and the yellowness was 10.63- 17.82. The A2B4 treatment (60 % seaweed pulp proportion : 60 % mustard green leaves pulp proportion) was the best treatment for making nori based on sensory test value

Asosiasi Begomovirus dan Betasatelit dalam Pengendalian Penyakit Kuning melalui Pendekatan Bioteknologi
Sidik, E.A., Laeshita, P. (2023). Association of begomoviruses and betasatellit in controlling yellow disease through a biotechnological approach. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang 21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 660-672). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Begomovirus belongs to the Geminivirus family, which is the largest genus that causes disease in many plants. Begomovirus genomes are monopartite and bipartite. In recent years it has been known that monopartite and bipartite begomoviruses associate with ssDNA satellit (betasatellit). Recombination that occurs between begomoviruses and betasatellit can trigger the emergence of new species and play a role in spread. The goal of this article is to describe the association between begomoviruses and betasatellit and their role in control using biotechnological approaches. This article was studied applying a scientific literature review process. This association plays a role in triggering the emergence of symptoms in the pathogenicity process. The betasatellit region contains a single open reading frame (ORFs) (βC1 gene) as a determinant of pathogenicity. Begomoviruses and betasatellit contain ORFs that encode replication, transcription, and RNA silencing (suppressing gene silencing) activities. The existence of this association can be an alternative control that utilizes the application of RNA interference (RNAi) to control begomovirus infection. Implemented by producing transgenic plants that harbor two different RNAi hairpin intron constructs using conserved regions from the viral genome and ORFs βC1 from the betasatellit genome. The multifunctional nature of the encoded protein may be a promising alternative in the development of resistance against begomovirus infection. In the end, transgenic plants were produced with milder symptoms and less viral DNA accumulation
Optimalisasi Lahan Suboptimal untuk Akuakultur: Food Safety Indonesia untuk Dunia
Hardi, E.H. (2023). Suboptimal land optimization for aquaculture: Indonesia's contribution to global food security. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang 21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 25-32). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).In Indonesia, the subtropical land is dominated by peat and mangroves, both of which have the potential to be used for aquaculture. The implementation of smart aquaculture, in which the management uses four concepts including natural activity, zero waste, circular activity, and sustainability. Optimizing the mangroves ecosystem as an area for filtration and sedimentation for aquaculture and waste air before it is discharged is an important part of maintaining ponds. The utilization of plant extracts as antibacterial, immunostimulants, prebiotics, and natural pesticide is the foundational tenet of smart silvofishery as opposed to the cultivation practice of using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. There are four advantages to smart silvofishery: mangrove litter supplies total nutrients (nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus); increasing total plankton (8 phytoplankton species and 11 zooplankton species); suppressing pathogens in ponds; increasing the amino acid and fatty acid content of shrimp meat; and increasing pond production. Mangrove litter supplies total nutrients (nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus). Aquaculture carried out in peat and mangrove environments is safe (for the environment, fish, and customers) when smart silvofishery is utilized. This results in increased productivity while also maintaining the safety of the products that are created
Potensi Daun Duduk (Tadehagi triquetrum (L.) H.Ohashi) sebagai Tanaman Obat dan Budidayanya: Review
Wijaya, N.R., & Safrina, D. (2023). Trefle Gros (Tadehagi triquetrum (L.) H.Ohashi) potency as a medicinal plant and its cultivation: Review. In: Herlinda S et al. (Eds.), Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-11 Tahun 2023, Palembang 21 Oktober 2023. (pp. 626-634). Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).As the return to nature lifestyle develops, various medicinal plant uses are increasingly in demand by the public. Tadehagi triquetrum (L.), known as trefle gros, is a plant with medicinal properties. Apart from being used as medicine, this plant from the Fabaceae family is also consumed as a substitute for tea. This plant, which grows at an altitude of 500-1400 meters above sea level, grows on hillsides and in bushes. Its appearance is like a tiny, woody shrub that grows upright. The leaves are oval with wings on the stalk; the compound flowers are purple; the pods and small seeds are light brown. The chemical compounds contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, phenols, sterols, hyperforin, trigoneline and amino acids. Plant parts such as roots, leaves and herbs are used in countries such as China, India, Laos and Myanmar to treat fever, coughs, snakebites, diabetes, tuberculosis and hemorrhoids. Research shows that this plant has potential as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-hyperlipidemic, immune-boosting, antibacterial, anti-cancer, hepatoprotective and wound healing agent. In general, T. triquetrum is not widely cultivated in Indonesia because little is known about its benefits and how to propagate it. This growth is generally obtained from nature, and the harvest is limited. Propagation can be done through seed germination, cuttings or tissue culture methods. The article aims to increase knowledge regarding the potential of T. triquetrum as a medicinal plant so that its existence can be used optimally
