Required expertise for university volunteer center staff : Analyzing the National Fact-Finding Survey on University Volunteers
Full text link" 本研究では大学ボランティアセンターの職員に求められる専門性の特質とその発揮条件について明らかにすることを目的として検討を行った。先行研究においては，求められる専門職の機能として，ボランティアコーディネーターとしての8つの役割と学生ボランティアの支援を通した教育的機能を発揮することが示唆された。
また，「大学ボランティアに関する全国実態調査（2021）」を再分析（専門職員配置と非専門職員配置の比較）した結果，教育機関である大学に配置されたボランティアコーディネーターにおいて，教育的機能は他の諸機能に並列する一機能に留まらず，その専門性総体の中核に位置づく可能性があることが，示唆された。また，教育的機能をはじめ大学ボランティアセンターに求められる機能が十全に発揮されるためには，ボランティアコーディネーターが専門職として配置されることが条件になる可能性が示唆された。"" This study aimed to clarify the characteristics of the expertise required by the staff in university volunteer centers, and the conditions under which their expertise can be demonstrated. Previous research has suggested that the eight roles of volunteer coordinators and the educational functions of supporting student volunteers are essential professional functions.
A reanalysis of the “Nationwide Survey on University Volunteers (2021)” (comparing professional and non-professional staffing) suggests that the educational function of volunteer coordinators assigned to universities may be positioned at the core of the overall specialization, rather than being limited to a single function alongside others. In addition, for the essential functions of a university volunteer center, including educational functions, to be fully exercised, it may be necessary to assign volunteer coordinators as professionals."departmental bulletin pape
