Promoting Motivation in an Extensive Reading Class : Using Active Learning Strategies
Get PDF第二言語・外国語教育の場で，多読は効果的な教授法として広く認識されている。多読の分析研究では，学生の自主性や動機づけの促進など多くの効果が報告されている。同様に，アクティブラーニング（以下“AL”）も中央教育審議会による2012年の教育改革の提案以来，多くの注目を集めている。本稿は，論理的背景，多読とALの効果，さらには多読の授業に導入されたALの実践事例を報告し考察するものである。本研究におけるALと多読の効果は，多読の授業でALの活動に参加した学生によるアンケート結果を調査したものである。自由記述の分析からALと多読の特性が学生の読む動機づけに貢献していることが分かった。Extensive reading has been widely recognized as an effective method of teaching in ESL and EFL. Many positive effects from extensive reading research have been reported, including promoting motivation and student autonomy. Similarly, active learning has attracted much attention in higher education in Japan since education reforms were recommended by the Central Education Council of Japan in 2012. This present paper explores the theoretical background and effects of both extensive reading and active learning, and reports on the implementation of active learning in an extensive reading class. The effects of active learning and extensive reading in this study were investigated by administering an open-ended survey to students who took part in active learning activities in an extensive reading class. The analysis of the survey showed that features of active learning and extensive reading mutually promoted the students’ motivation to keep reading.departmental bulletin pape
What is katai expression? : Focus on yoginakusareru and kinjienai
Get PDF本研究の目的は，硬い表現がいつどこで用いられるのかを明らかにすることである。本稿は，2つの調査の結果を提示している。1）3種の日本語能力試験問題集において，どのような文法を硬い表現と印を付けているか。2）どのような媒体で「余儀なくされる」「禁じ得ない」が使われているか。1）の調査で「余儀なくされる」「禁じ得ない」は硬い表現だと示されたため，2）では，「余儀なくされる」「禁じ得ない」の使用を国会議事録，新聞など多種の言語コーパスで調べた。結果，日本語能力試験問題集では，それぞれ違う文法を硬い表現であるとし，更に，「余儀なくされる」と「禁じ得ない」では使われる場面が異なることが分かった。This study aims to investigate when and where katai (formal or bookish) expressions are used. The study describes the results of two studies: 1) what kinds of grammar do the three JLPT exercise books denote as katai expressions? and 2) what kind of media are yoginakusareru and kinjienai used in? The first study shows that yoginakusareru and kinjienai are katai expressions, while the second study describes their usage in various language corpora such as the Diet records and newspapers. In conclusion, each JLPT exercise book designates a different grammar point as a katai expression. Moreover, yoginakusareru and kinjienai are used in different situations.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF吉見静江は，児童福祉法の成立と同時期に厚生省児童局保育課の初代課長となり，児童福祉法施行から『保育児童のケースワーク事例集』刊行に至る保育所の確立期に，12年間にわたり所轄課の課長で在り続けた。そのため，保育行政の源流をたどろうとすると，吉見静江の検討は不可欠である。吉見は，厚生省入職前に興望館セツルメントの館長を務めていた。このことから興望館セツルメントにおける保育事業での吉見の仕事を整理し，吉見が保育内容には口を出さずに，ソーシャルワークの技法を用いた利用者の主体性の尊重と子育て家庭の支援に専心したことを明らかにした。Shizue Yoshimi became the first section manager of the nursery section in the Ministry of Health and Welfare children bureau. In the 12 years she worked on enforcing the Child Welfare Law, she always demonstrated leadership and conducted the affairs of the nursery school system concretely.
Shizue Yoshimi was the key person in childcare administration. She worked for the Kobo-kan as a director before being employed at the Ministry of Health and Welfare. She did not interfere in contents of childcare while with the Kobo-kan or the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
