Variability of Word Choice: Usage Rate of “―NA SUGI” and “―NA SA SUGI”
Get PDF本研究では，語の選択の「ゆれ」に焦点を当てる。否定辞「ない」に「過ぎ」が付いた複合語には「―な過ぎ」と「―なさ過ぎ」の二つの形がある。この「―な過ぎ」「―なさ過ぎ」の使用割合を国会会議録と東北地方および関西地方の府・県議会の会議録を用いて調査した。調査の結果，いずれの会議録でも，「な過ぎ」「なさ過ぎ」が使用されていた。ただし，会議録によって，使用割合には差があった。国会会議録では，「―な過ぎ」「―なさ過ぎ」の出現数は，ほぼ同数だった。それに対し，東北地方では「―な過ぎ」が多く，関西地方では「―なさ過ぎ」が多かった。つまり，地域によって「ゆれ」に差があることが明らかになった。This research focuses on the variability of word choices in native Japanese. The compound word expressing negative excess, “SUGI,” takes two forms: “―NA SUGI” and “―NA SA SUGI.” This paper examines the usage rate of these phrases by leveraging the minutes of the National Diet of Japan and the prefectural assembly minutes of Tohoku and Kansai regions. Results show that both “―NA SUGI” and “―NA SA SUGI” are used in all contexts. However, there are differences of the usage rates. In the minutes of the National Diet, the number of appearances of “―NA SUGI” is nearly the same as the number of appearances of “―NA SA SUGI.” In contrast, “―NA SUGI” appears more often in the prefectural assembly minutes of Tohoku, while “―NA SA SUGI” appears more in the prefectural assembly minutes of Kansai. The Use of LINE among Japanese College Students
Get PDF本研究では，現代青年の友人関係におけるLINEの位置づけを探るべく，調査を実施した。特にLINE利用における自己開示の深さと効用認知という観点に着目した。また，友人関係には複数の類型があるという知見にもとづき，関係を回避しがちな友人関係を持つ青年が，他の類型の青年に比べてLINEでどの程度の自己開示を行っているのかということにも焦点をあてた。大学生（n＝302）を対象にWeb調査を行った。友人関係尺度についてのクラスター分析の結果から，現代青年の友人関係のあり方を3群に分割した。LINEにおける自己開示の深さと効用認知について3群の比較を行ったところ，関係回避群は他の群に比べて，深い自己開示がなされておらず，LINEに対しては束縛感や不快感を強く認識していた。これらの結果より，LINEの利用は青年の友人関係における独自のコミュニケーションの場を提供しているわけではなく，オフラインでの友人関係のあり方が反映されたものであるということが示された。This study investigated how adolescents used the mobile instant messenger LINE in relation to the depth of self-disclosure and perceived utility. Among multiple friendship patterns, this study focused on the extent to which adolescents with a disposition toward the avoidance of friendship disclosed themselves through LINE. A web survey was conducted with Japanese college students (n＝302). The results of a cluster analysis of the friendship scale indicated that contemporary adolescents’ friendship patterns could be divided into three categories: adolescents who avoided emotionally close relationships, adolescents who simply tried to be together with their friends, and adolescents with individualistic and close relationships. A comparison of the depth of self-disclosure in LINE and perceived utility among three groups showed that adolescents with a disposition toward friendship avoidance did not disclose themselves as deeply in LINE and perceived LINE as more restrictive. These results demonstrate that communication using LINE does not enable a unique field of conversation for adolescents, and it strongly reflects offline relationships.departmental bulletin pape

Examination of the Efficacy of Instruction of English Conditionals with Skill Acquisition Theory
Get PDF本予備的研究では，英語の仮定法文を短期間で習得するにあたっての，Skill Acquisition Theory（技能習得理論）の有効性を検証する。本研究では，一人の学習者に３種類の仮定法文を与え，６週間にわたってPPP手法で授業を行なった。事後テストと遅延事後テストの結果は，本研究の授業法で学習者が短期間でも英語の仮定法文をより正確に理解・生産できるようになることを示している。This pilot study examines the effectiveness of using principles of Skill Acquisition Theory to teach conditional sentences over a short term. Three conditional grammatical structures were introduced to a single learner using PPP lesson sequence over a 6-week period. Results of the post-treatment and delayed post-treatment tests indicate potential for short-term gains in both productive and receptive proficiency with English conditional structures using this instruction style.departmental bulletin pape
