Psychological Sense of Community among International Students who Studied in Japan during COVID-19
Full text linkコロナ禍において留学生を取り巻く大学コミュニティや大学教育をめぐる環境が大きく変容し，留学の意義が問い直されている。本研究では，このような状況下における留学生のコミュニティ感覚を明らかにすることを目的とし，東京都内の大学に在籍する5名の留学生に対する質問紙，インタビュー調査を実施した。SCATによる分析の結果，5名の留学生それぞれのコミュニティ感覚が示され，コロナ禍によるコミュニティ感覚への影響は限定的であることが示された。また，留学生が被受容感や自己有用感を得られること，日本人学生，留学生双方の異文化間コンピテンスを高めることで，留学生のコミュニティ感覚を高める可能性が示唆された。This study examines international students’ psychological sense of community. The educational environment and the university community environment surrounding international students changed significantly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, it is important to understand the students’ experiences while studying abroad. Data were collected, using questionnaires and interviews, from five international students at a private university in Tokyo, and the results were analyzed using SCAT. The results showed generally limited impacts on, or changes to, the students’ sense of community as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it is suggested that international students’ sense of community could be enhanced by encouraging them to experience a sense of self-efficacy and acceptance, and by increasing the cross-cultural competence of both Japanese and international students.departmental bulletin pape
Construction of a scale for measuring parental mediation of children’s internet use in Japan
Full text link本研究は，日本における子どものインターネット利用に対する保護者の介入行動を測定するための尺度を作成することを目的とした。小学校3年生から中学生の子どもを持つ保護者（n = 1070）を調査対象として，インターネット調査が実施された。介入行動を測定する尺度について確認的因子分析を実施した結果，7つの因子で構成されるという仮説を支持する結果が得られた。尺度の妥当性の検討として，保護者の養育態度やインターネット利用効力感と介入行動との間に予測されたとおりの関連が示された。さらに，保護者の学歴，世帯収入や子どもの年齢といった要因による介入行動の違いについて分析したところ，特に子どもの年齢により介入行動が異なるという結果が得られた。これらの結果より一定の妥当性を有する尺度が構成されたと考えられる。The purpose of this study was to construct a scale to measure parental mediation of children’s internet use in Japan. An internet survey was conducted with parents (n = 1070) with children between 3rd grade of elementary school and junior high school. A confirmatory factor analysis of parental mediation indicated that the hypothesis that parental mediation consisted of a seven-factor structure was supported. On testing the validity of the scale, results showed that parental mediation was expectedly related to parental attitude and internet self-efficacy. In addition, it was examined whether parental mediation was differentiated by the parents’ educational background, household income, and the age of the children, and the results showed that in particular, parental mediation varied depending on the age of children. These results suggest that a scale for measuring parental mediation of children’s internet use in Japan, with a certain degree of validity, has been constructed.departmental bulletin pape

Examining the Mechanisms Affecting Job Turnover Intention among Elementary and Junior High School Teachers : Impact of Stressors, Burnout, and Psychosomatic Symptoms
Full text link本研究の目的は，教師の職務ストレッサーとバーンアウト，心身症状，離職意思の因果関係を共分散構造分析によって検討することであった。調査は小中学校教師255名を対象に，ストレッサー，バーンアウト，心身症状，離職意思を測定した。分析の結果，採択された因果モデルの適合性は十分であった。また，離職意思は，バーンアウト(情緒的消耗感，脱人格化)，心身症状(うつ傾向)によって有意に規定されており，2つの変数での説明率は62%と非常に高かった。さらに，「ストレッサー」から「離職意思」への影響は，バーンアウトのみを介してのストレッサーの間接効果がバーンアウトと心身症状双方を介した間接効果の約1.7倍であった。This study aimed to examine the causal relationship between job stressors experienced by teachers and their level of burnout, psychosomatic symptoms, and job turnover intention. A structural analysis of covariance was carried out, involving 255 elementary and junior high school teachers. The variables were stressors, burnout, psychosomatic symptoms, and job turnover intention. The results indicated that the chosen causal model was a good fit. Job turnover intention was significantly influenced by burnout (emotional exhaustion and depersonalization) and psychosomatic symptoms (depressive tendencies). The explanatory power of the two variables was quite high at 62%. Furthermore, the indirect effect of stressors through burnout alone was about 1.7 times greater than the indirect effect through both burnout and psychosomatic symptoms.departmental bulletin pape
Practice of Science Clubs in Elementary School Special Activities : Importance of Safety and Security
Full text link本研究ノートは，2012年度の小学校特別活動における理科クラブの実践を授業内容や学習者の振り返りから整理したものである。旧学習指導要領（平成20年告示）の実践であるため，新学習指導要領（平成29年告示）の観点も含めて考察した。そして，理科クラブにおける予備実験の実施，ICT機器の活用，保護者への承諾書を得ることで，安全・安心を意識した実践例を紹介した。また，理科クラブにおいて，異学年の協働学習における場面設定の工夫，安全指導の重要性を示唆した。This research note summarizes the practice of science clubs in elementary school special activities in 2012 from class content and learner reviews. Since these practices belong to the old course of study (announced in 2008), they were examined based on the new course of study (announced in 2017). Practical examples of safety and security were introduced by conducting preliminary experiments in science clubs, using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) equipment, and obtaining written consent from parents. Additionally, in the science clubs, the importance of ingenuity in scene setting and safety instruction in collaborative learning among different grades was shown.departmental bulletin pape
