Menggagas Kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam Berbasis Multikultur dan Pluralisme
ABSTRACT (Inggris)
This research discusses the importance of developing multicultural and pluralistic curricula in Islamic religious education to address challenges in today's ethnically, culturally, and religiously diverse society. Using a qualitative methodology with a literature-based approach, the study emphasizes education's vital role in character formation, particularly in building tolerance and coexistence among different religious adherents. The study notes a shift from a one-size-fits-all religious education approach toward an inclusive curriculum that incorporates different religious education curriculum models, fostering mutual respect among students of different faiths. This transition suggests several curriculum reform strategies: how educators, curriculum developers, and stakeholders can collaborate to design an environment that values diversity and enables positive engagement among students from various backgrounds.

Tradisi dan Inovasi: Menelisik Peran Dayah dalam Meningkatkan Daya Saing Mahasiswa di Era Globalisasi Pendidikan Agama
The development of Islamic religious education faces increasingly complex challenges due to social change, technological advancement, and globalization. Dayah, as a traditional Islamic educational institution, holds a strategic role in preparing students to compete in an increasingly competitive educational environment. This study aims to examine the role of dayah in shaping students’ academic foundations, enhancing their competitiveness, and identifying the challenges and solutions encountered in equipping students for the religious education sector. The research employs a qualitative field study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with dayah administrators, students, and community leaders. Thematic analysis was conducted to explore the role of dayah in knowledge formation, learning strategies, and responses to various obstacles. The findings reveal that dayah plays a crucial role in building students’ foundational knowledge through mastery of classical texts and traditional learning methods such as sorogan and halaqah. Strategies to improve competitiveness include integrating religious and general sciences into the curriculum, character development, and the use of information technology. Despite these efforts, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, outdated curricula, and negative perceptions of traditional religious education persist. Solutions involve curriculum adaptation, improved technological access, soft skills training, and community support. Thus, dayah serves as an agent of change capable of producing graduates who are not only religiously grounded but also competitive in the global landscape of religious education

Penemuan Hukum oleh Hakim di Indonesia: Dasar, Metode, serta Implikasinya terhadap Kepastian dan Keadilan Hukum
Ideally, legal discovery by judges is expected to create both legal certainty and substantive justice simultaneously. However, in reality, the practice of legal discovery in Indonesia often leads to legal uncertainty due to differences in interpretation and the varied use of interpretative methods. Flexibility in legal discovery also has the potential to be misused if not supported by ethical foundations and adequate competence. This study aims to analyze the legal basis, methods, and implications of legal discovery by judges in Indonesia on legal certainty and justice. This research employs a juridical-normative approach by analyzing Law No. 48 of 2009, court decisions, and legal doctrines related to methods of legal interpretation. The results show that legal discovery by judges is necessary to address legal gaps and adapt the law to social developments. However, flexibility in legal discovery must be balanced with consistency in legal application to maintain legal certainty
Exploring gender differences in self-confidence related to entering the workforce among Muslim college students
Self-confidence is an essential component of an individual's psychological well-being, shaped by various factors, including gender. While differences in self-confidence exist, both men and women seek positive self-understanding to navigate life's challenges. Recognizing these differences is crucial for supporting the development of healthy and positive self-confidence. This study investigates the self-confidence levels of male and female students and compares their confidence in entering the workforce. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive approach, the study found that, on average, women exhibited higher levels of self-confidence than men. However, the comparison of self-confidence regarding entry into the workforce revealed no significant gender differences. These findings suggest that the educational environment fosters equal conditions, preparing students to face career challenges irrespective of gender. This research emphasizes the importance of an inclusive and equitable educational approach, where the development of relevant skills and competencies for the workforce is prioritized alongside the enhancement of self-confidence, a vital factor in achieving professional success. The implications of this study contribute to career counseling services in higher education, highlighting the need to focus on gender-neutral strategies that build students' self-confidence and equip them for future professional roles
The role of anxiety in shaping bystander behavior: A study of students in bullying situations in Indonesian high schools
The bystander effect is a social phenomenon in which an individual's likelihood of helping others in an emergency decreases. Barriers preventing bystanders from intervening include anxiety about taking inappropriate actions and fear of becoming the next victim. This study aims to describe the level of anxiety among students in bullying situations and to examine the relationship between anxiety and the bystander effect in such contexts. A quantitative correlational research design was employed to explore the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The study involved 154 high school students aged 16 to 18 years. Data were collected using researcher-developed anxiety and bystander effect scales, and analyzed using Pearson correlation. The findings indicate a significant positive relationship between anxiety and the bystander effect among students in bullying situations, meaning that higher anxiety levels are associated with a stronger bystander effect. These results suggest that school counseling services should prioritize interventions that address student anxiety and promote proactive bystander behaviors. Implementing programs focused on anxiety management and safe intervention strategies can play a vital role in reducing the incidence of passive bystander behavior in bullying cases
Revitalisasi Peran Ayah dalam Keluarga: Tinjauan Tafsir Kementerian Agama terhadap Fenomena Fatherless di Indonesia
Indonesia is highlighted as the third-ranked "fatherless country." A fatherless country refers to a nation where the role and presence of fathers in childcare are minimal. The lack of paternal involvement in the upbringing and education of children is driven by deeply rooted societal stigmas. This phenomenon is rooted in a strong patriarchal culture, in which childcare is seen entirely as the mother’s responsibility. Based on the above, a solution is needed to respond to this phenomenon. The fatherless issue calls on society to re-evaluate the parameters of a father’s role in the family, especially toward children. The Qur’an, as a guide for Muslims, contains indicators and answers to all of life’s problems. Therefore, seeking solutions to the fatherless phenomenon through the Qur’an becomes crucial to implement. This research is qualitative in nature, using a library research approach. The data is presented using descriptive analytical techniques. The study finds that the fatherless phenomenon contradicts the substance of the Qur’an. The interpretation (Tafsir) by Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs (KEMENAG RI) contains numerous verses that imply exemplary behavior and ideal values a father should embody toward his child. The interpretation by the KEMENAG RI team of these verses is relevant for application in the Indonesian context. Based on the analysis, the involvement of fathers in the childcare process has a significant positive impact on the child's growth and development. By highlighting various examples of the ideal father figure from the KEMENAG RI Tafsir, it is hoped that these can be implemented to help reduce the percentage of fatherlessness in Indonesia.
