What does “political creation” mean? If we draw this general idea by highlighting contemporary philosopher C. Castoriadis thought about the project of autonomy referring to the social-historical process that produced the birth of the “polis” of Athens, thanks to the Greek political imaginary, and the French Revolution, starting from the transformation of the medieval religious society, then we can show which logical-ontological assumptions are the basis of this idea, as well as its specific and general condition and its actual expression, from the point of view of the praxis of social-historical transformation. To arrive at this result we need to evaluate critically the main ideas that Cornelius Castoriadis connects with the idea and the practice of autonomy, particularly the concepts of social-historical and politics. In this respect, we will be able to find, within Aldo Capitini’s practical philosophy of religion, the confirmation of a credible ethical-political transposition of the above-mentioned assumptions.¿Qué significa “la creación política”?

This article sets out to: 1) Show to what extent this framework is necessary; 2) Tackle the question of the method for constructing this framework; 3) Compile the main tópoi of the neurosciences that the framework has to interpret and integrate; 4) Propose the ethics of discourse as a philosophical framework for neuroethics; 5) Display certain shortcomings of this framework and put forward the dialogical ethics of cordial reason as being more appropriate.

In this paper we assume that innovation requires transmission of information. The content of the transmitted information currently is subject to legal regulation, typically intellectual property, where the agents and the requirement of a needed consent hinder free transmission. To solve this problem, two type of solutions are being implemented: first through legal code and second through computer code. These solutions, rooted on ethical foundations, have political consequences and determine the kind of society we can build using the transmitted knowledge.

In this article we focus on the question of whether democracy is compatible with the point of view that, according to general opinion, is at the very core of Chinese culture: Confucianism. This point of view is analysed in its contextual frame as well as within itself comparing it with the concept of democracy. The conclusion is that democracy is foreign to Confucianism and, by extension, to Chinese culture. Ultimately, however, democracy is not necessarily incompatible with that perspective. It is possible to imagine a synthesis between them.

This paper aims at giving some clues on how to measure innovation, not only as an effect, but also as an action; i.e., how to measure the conditions of possibility of innovation. It will be argued that this measurement should be based on some cultural variables, pondering diversity (both of individuals and groups) within a given society, as a proxy for new combinations. It will be concluded that a stable, accurate measurement of innovation is just impossible.

In this paper I try to analyze, on the one hand, the intricate institutional, political and intellectual Greek pederasty framework; on the other hand, the Platonic response to it. Perhaps originally pederasty was a strongly regulated rite of passage; subsequently became a theme for poets and an element of the aristocratic self-awareness. Plato know that the tradition of Sparta and Crete, as well as poets, legitimize pederastic practices. Maybe he was not alien to them and, in any case, he was moving in intellectual circles which sought a synthesis of Socratic teaching and tradition and poets. These intellectual circles inserted the pederasty in a broader educational framework and removed all sexual connotations. Plato also knows that Socratic teachings are difficult to fulfill, that there is something important in them and that their fulfillment demands renunciations. That the harmony of the soul with itself demands renunciations, not imply the radical abandon of any erotic elements. Therefore the question of pederasty is central to Plato’s philosophy, because this question show clearly the difficulties outlined above: the pederasty becomes a miniature model which poses the political problem that really matters to Plato, the problem discussed in the dialogs examined in this paper and that reaches its highest expression in the Laws: the control of desires (as far as possible and by all available means) as a fundamental element in the construction of this regime “that, if it should come into being, everything would be good for the city in which it came into being” (Rep. 471 c).En el presente trabajo intento analizar, por una parte, el complejo entramado institucional, político e intelectual tejido en torno a la pederastia griega; por otra, la respuesta platónica ante él.

This article studies the connection between social technology and hidden innovation from a set of ethical vectors. These ethical vectors foster the rising and spreading of a hidden innovation created in collaborative environments by means of social technology. Understanding the ethical dimension of social technology allows us to identify the role played by a set of laws - Metcalfe’s law, law of positive externalities, and law of increasing return to adoption - in the development of social empowerment practices in the aforementioned environments, which are here defined as “communities of knowledge”. The ethical vectors present in social technology are analyzed from the following categories: communitarian knowledge and innovation, democracy and citizen participation, dialogue between popular wisdom and scientific knowledge, and holistic educational process.

This paper elaborates on Giorgio Agamben’s and Roberto Esposito’s thought on the Community. Both authors interrogate the Common from an impolitical perspective that tries to deconstruct the presuppositions of traditional metaphysics and political philosophy in order to create an affirmative conceptuality in ontological terms. In these authors predominates the recourse to the figure of the community, later considered in the horizon of biopolitics, since life becomes the center of both the power dispositives and today’s forms of political subjectification. The paper asks if these ontological approaches succeed in thinking the common politically or only in ethical terms.

This paper theoretizes the transition from a global regime of geopolitics (that is to say, the politics of the earth) to a pyropolitical regime, or the politics of fire. Based in the political philosophy of Carl Schmitt, the thesis is that the certainty, stability, and order rooted in the earth are now being displaced by the anomie of fire, as the symbol and the concrete sphere of the political today.
