Longser art, a form of traditional Sundanese performance, faces significant threats from modernization and popular culture. Since 2010, the Bandoengmooi Community has taken a proactive role in preserving this cultural heritage through performances, training programs, and cross-sector collaborations. This study explores Bandoengmooi’s contributions to longser preservation using historical methods, including heuristics, criticism or verification, interpretation, and historiography. The findings reveal that Bandoengmooi not only sustains the physical performance of longser but also revitalizes its form and meaning to remain relevant in contemporary social contexts. Their training initiatives effectively engage the younger generation, equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of longser. Simultaneously, their performances function as a platform for social critique and environmental awareness. The institutional transformation into a formal foundation in 2021 further legitimized their cultural initiatives. Bandoengmooi demonstrates that cultural preservation need not be conservative but can embrace innovative and adaptive approaches to meet modern challenges. This study underscores the crucial role of community-based initiatives in saveguarding local culture heritage, especially amid awakening state support and increasing cultural globalizatio

    No full text
One of the service companies in Surabaya is currently undergoing a generational leadership transition, marked by the emergence of millennial leaders in key positions. This study aims to explore the leadership style of a millennial leader in a multigenerational team context, with a focus on identifying behaviors aligned with the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, and intellectual stimulation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through participant observation over three working days and semi-structured interviews with the subject. The findings indicate that the subject actively applies transformational leadership, particularly through motivational encouragement, coaching, and inclusive decision-making processes. Although direct observation revealed stronger expressions of inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation, interview data confirmed the presence of all four transformational dimensions in the subject’s leadership approach. This leadership style contributes to a positive team climate, increased engagement, creativity, and productivity. The study reinforces the relevance of transformational leadership in managing multigenerational teams and highlights the adaptive capacity of millennial leaders in contemporary organizational settings

This research investigates the impact of digital financial inclusion on the marketing strategies of micro enterprises in Tomohon, Indonesia. Digital financial inclusion refers to the accessibility and use of financial technology by micro enterprises to enhance their operations and marketing efforts. The study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and case studies to gather data from micro enterprise owners who have adopted digital financial technology. The findings reveal that while the adoption of digital financial technology among micro enterprises in Tomohon is still limited, it has shown significant potential in improving marketing efficiency and expanding market reach. The use of social media platforms, e-commerce, and digital payments has enabled these enterprises to overcome geographical limitations and reach a broader customer base. However, the research identifies several challenges, including low financial literacy, inadequate technological infrastructure, and limited support from government and financial institutions. These challenges hinder the widespread adoption of digital financial technology among micro enterprises. To address these issues, the study recommends the development of comprehensive financial literacy programs, investment in technological infrastructure, and incentives for the adoption of digital payments. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of these initiatives are essential to ensure their effectiveness in promoting sustainable growth and inclusivity. The research concludes that digital financial inclusion can be a catalyst for economic growth and development in Tomohon, provided that the identified barriers are effectively addressed

    No full text
This study examines the implementation of free education policy in Indonesia from a constitutional law perspective, aiming to assess the extent to which this public policy aligns with the constitutional mandate under Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution. The research adopts a normative juridical approach combined with empirical analysis to evaluate how free education policies are formulated, implemented, and enforced across different regions. Legal documents, regulations, and policy instruments such as the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program and regional regulations were analyzed alongside field data collected through interviews and case studies. Findings reveal a significant gap between constitutional norms and policy practices, as many schools continue to impose informal fees under various forms—contrary to the constitutional guarantee of free and accessible education. Inconsistent interpretations of regulations at the local level, weak institutional capacity, and inadequate oversight mechanisms contribute to persistent violations. The discussion highlights the need for clearer regulatory formulations, stronger enforcement frameworks, and increased legal awareness among citizens and educational stakeholders. Furthermore, the study underscores the importance of civil society participation and effective governance in ensuring transparency and accountability. Based on these findings, the research recommends harmonizing national and regional regulations, strengthening institutional capacity within schools and local governments, and introducing legal mechanisms such as class action suits to enable citizens to claim their constitutional right to free education. Ultimately, realizing the constitutional promise of free education requires a multidimensional and legally grounded approach that prioritizes justice, equality, and public accountability

This study aimed to develop and evaluate an Android-based digital handout learning media focused on the Proclamation of Independence news in Palembang for 11th-grade history students at SMA Negeri 12 Palembang. The research addressed the need for engaging and locally relevant history learning materials, considering that existing resources were limited and students showed insufficient understanding of local historical events. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach guided by the ADDIE instructional design model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Data collection involved curriculum analysis, interviews, questionnaires, and expert validation. The media was tested through one-on-one, small group, and full-class field trials, using pretests and posttests to measure student learning outcomes. Results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with the average score improving from 45.48 in the pretest to 97.09 in the posttest. The N-gain value of 0.94 indicated high effectiveness of the media. Expert validation confirmed the product’s validity in terms of content, media design, and language. Students responded positively to the media’s clarity, interactivity, and accessibility via smartphones. While the media proved effective and well-received, limitations include the study’s focus on a single school and challenges faced by students without smartphone access. Future research should consider broader samples and alternative access methods to ensure inclusivity and generalizability

Circular Economy-Based Waste Management in Tomohon City: Toward a Green Economy through Innovative and Participatory Approaches

    No full text
This study aims to identify the potential for implementing a circular economy in waste management in Tomohon City as an effort to support the transition toward a green economy. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using field observation, in-depth interviews with environmental and economic actors, and policy document analysis. The research was conducted in strategic locations such as the Final Disposal Site (TPA), traditional markets, waste banks, and tourist destinations that serve as centers of community activity and tourism. Findings show that the current waste management system in Tomohon still follows a linear model, resulting in significant environmental pressures. However, local initiatives such as plastic recycling by MSMEs, organic composting, and active participation in waste banks provide early indications of successful circular practices. Nevertheless, scalability and integration of these models into the regional economy remain limited due to infrastructure constraints, technical capacity, and weak policy coordination. Based on these findings, recommendations include the need for investment in waste processing infrastructure, institutional strengthening of waste banks, formulation of local policies oriented toward circular economy principles, and increased community participation through education and economic incentives. With the implementation of these recommendations, Tomohon has the potential to become a model for sustainable waste management based on the circular economy in Indonesia’s mountainous urban regions

Confirmatory Factor Analysis of Social Support Scale Among University Students: Analisis Faktor Konfirmatori Skala Dukungan Sosial Pada Mahasiswa

    No full text
Elevated levels of social support are not only instrumental in assisting university students with managing developmental stress but are also closely associated with their psychological well-being. However, within the Indonesian higher education context, the psychometric evaluation, particularly the construct validity and reliability of social support instruments remains underexplored. This study aimed to assess the construct validity and examine the factorial structure of a social support scale among Indonesian undergraduate students. Utilizing Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), data from 145 participants were analyzed to evaluate the model fit and factor structure. Initial analysis indicated that, although the hypothesized three-factor model exhibited substantial item loadings, its overall model fit did not meet acceptable thresholds, suggesting a need for refinement. Subsequent CFA of the revised model confirmed an improved fit to the empirical data. Ultimately, only seven items demonstrated satisfactory psychometric properties in this student population. These results offer valuable implications for improving both assessment practices and the quality of counseling services within university settings

Community-Based Digital Tourism Implementation for Revitalizing Lungun Indah Ecotourism in Banyuwangi: Penerapan Pariwisata Digital Berbasis Komunitas untuk Revitalisasi Ekowisata Lungun Indah di Banyuwangi

    No full text
This community service program revitalizes the Lungun Indah riverside attraction in Banyuwangi through a digital-tourism, community-based approach. The intervention integrates (i) physical enhancement—area cleaning, repainting, layout reorganization, and ornamental planting; (ii) safety enablement—provision of life jackets and an inflatable boat to support family-friendly river activities; and (iii) digital capacity building—creation of an official Instagram account, development of a tourism website with a virtual tour, and hands-on training for video promotion and website management involving Digital Business students. Methods followed sequential phases: problem analysis with local stakeholders (Bumdes and village officials), collaborative site improvement, digital content and platform development, training, and evaluation via a short Likert survey administered to Bumdes managers and village officers. Results indicate visible upgrades in cleanliness and aesthetics, improved visitor safety readiness, and stronger online visibility alongside emerging skills for independent content production and website upkeep. Survey feedback shows high acceptance and perceived relevance of the interventions, supporting the feasibility of sustained, locally managed promotion and operations. The program demonstrates that coupling basic physical readiness with targeted digital marketing and community capacity can effectively enhance destination appeal, strengthen governance at village level, and provide a scalable model for rural tourism revitalization

The Role of Social Media in Disseminating Information About The Church in GMIM Baitani Matani: Peran Media Sosial dalam Penyebaran Informasi Gereja di GMIM Baitani Matani

    No full text
This paper discusses how social media works as a communicative and spiritual space in Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa (GMIM), a synodal Protestant church in Minahasa. This study examines the application of social media in sharing church information, congregational interactions, and spiritual life. An explanatory sequential mixed-methods design was used, which entailed a survey of 34 congregants, in-depth interviews, and digital ethnography of the official accounts of GMIM. Quantitative data convey the trends of platform usage, time clocked, role, perceived spiritual influence, and involvement in online religious materials, whereas qualitative data demonstrate how leaders and members perceive the chances and threats of digital communication. The results show that social media is integrated into the life of congregations and represents a digital continuation of communal relationships, assisting in the provision of information, worship resources, and support. Meanwhile, the respondents referred to ambivalence, acknowledging social media as a source of grace and a distracter, conflict, and superficial religiosity simultaneously. The research also reveals that the digital communication used by GMIM is, to a great extent, one-sided, although the congregants want to interact more dialogically through two-way communication. The article proposes that the church should have cohesive policies on digital communication, invest in digital literacies, and unite online practices with embodied worship and diaconal action so that social media may be used as a place of proclamation, koinonia, and Christian service and not as a convenient channel to make announcements

THE ROLE OF FELLOWSHIP IN BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS AMONG CONGREGATION MEMBERS AT GMIM FILADELVIA WOWONTULAP: Peran Persekutuan Dalam Membangun Hubungan Antarwarga Jemaat Di GMIM Filadelvia Wowontulap

    No full text
Abstract Ecclesial fellowship in GMIM Filadelfia Wawontulap has ceased being a ritualized liturgy to a crucial place of creating genuine relationships, solving conflicts, and the assimilation of Biblical values and Minahasan culture. Through descriptive-interpretative qualitative research approach, the study analyzes the role of fellowship as a merging and healing process among church members and uses five themes namely, the strengthening of social-spiritual relationships, the church as a reconciler, the leadership of pastors and elders, the integration of mapalus in koinonia, and the means of increasing participation and belonging. Results indicate that social bonding among fellowship activities at the column, commission, and categorical levels, generational relational gaps, and helpful mutual support between generations, be it at the hospital visit or a common meal. The church plays an active role in mediating conflicts in an all-inclusive pastoral ministry which involves prayer, open dialogue, and personal accompaniment. Although pastors and elders are appreciated as spiritual advisors, members want more personal contact and less formality to help bring openness, particularly among young people and those who are shy. The Minahasan cultural ethics, especially of mapalus (mutual cooperation), are highly effective social capital, and support equality, solidarity, and togetherness, which is similar to New Testament koinonia. Some of the best approaches to promote participation are informal intergenerational events, youth participation with planning the events, frequent visits to the aged and non-judgmental area where the youth can share their personal plight
