The Legal Ideal of Pancasila in the Perspective of Postmodernism
The legal ideal of Pancasila, as the foundation of the Indonesian state, has long been regarded as a stable and universal ideology. However, with the development of postmodern thought, which emphasizes relativism, pluralism, and the deconstruction of grand narratives, the relevance of Pancasila's legal ideal within the postmodern context requires further exploration. This study aims to examine whether Pancasila's legal ideal remains relevant from a postmodern perspective and how postmodernism may influence the application of Pancasila's legal principles in Indonesia. This research uses a normative method with a philosophical approach, which is prescriptive in nature, to explore postmodern thoughts related to law, ideology, and the state. The analysis technique used is deductive, starting from postmodern theories and applying them to the context of Pancasila law. The findings suggest that, from a postmodern perspective, the legal ideal of Pancasila should not be seen as a rigid and singular legal system. Instead, Pancasila can be understood as a flexible principle, open to change, and accommodating diverse viewpoints within Indonesia's pluralistic society. However, a deeper understanding is required on how the values of Pancasila can be dynamically interpreted, in line with the demands of the times and the challenges of globalization faced by Indonesia. This study concludes that Pancasila's legal ideal remains relevant, but must be adapted to the ongoing social and cultural development
TRACES OF SRIVIJAYA TRADE AND CULTURE: CERAMICS AND ANCIENT MONEY FOUND IN THE MUSI RIVER, PALEMBANG
Srivijaya was the largest maritime kingdom in Southeast Asia that reached its peak in the 7th to 13th centuries AD. Its strategic position on international trade routes made it a center of economic and cultural exchange connecting East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. One of the evidences of Srivijaya's trade and cultural acculturation traces can be found on the Musi River, which functioned as the main route for distributing trade goods. This study uses historical methods, including heuristics (collection of sources), source criticism, interpretation, and historiography, to analyze archaeological findings in the form of ceramics and ancient money found in the Musi River, Palembang. The results of the study show that the ceramics found in the Musi River, Palembang come from various dynasties in China, such as the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD), Song (960–1279 AD), and Yuan (1271–1368 AD), indicating close trade relations between Srivijaya and China. In addition, the discovery of ancient currencies, including gold, silver, and copper coins from local and Chinese sources, reveals that Srivijaya already had a currency-based economic system in its trade transactions. Through source criticism and analysis, it was found that the flow of trade on the Musi River not only had an impact on the economic development of Srivijaya, but also influenced the social and cultural aspects of its people, such as in art, belief systems, and daily life patterns. This study confirms that Srivijaya was not only a regional trade center, but also an important node in the global trade network that accelerated the process of cultural acculturation. Using historical methods, this study provides deeper insight into the dynamics of Srivijaya trade and culture, and enriches understanding of the role of the Palembang Musi River in the maritime history of the archipelago

Construction of Party Political Narratives in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) Framing Analysis on CNNIndonesia.com and Okezone.com: Konstruksi Narasi Politik Partai dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) DKI Jakarta 2024 Analisis Framing pada CNNIndonesia.com Dan Okezone.com
The media employs strategies in news writing to become the primary choice for readers. Ahead of the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada), media outlets are competing to present news on the subject, including CNNIndonesia.com and Okezone.com. This study aims to understand how political narratives and the roles of parties are constructed by CNNIndonesia.com and Okezone.com in their coverage of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada. The study adopts a constructivist approach, focusing on how the media constructs the social reality of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada. The research employs Robert N. Entman's framing analysis, which includes four elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and treatment recommendation. Data collection was carried out through documentation obtained from CNNIndonesia.com and Okezone.com news reports within the period of August 26, 2024. The results reveal that in the define problems stage, CNNIndonesia.com portrays PDIP's decision as a political maneuver based on party loyalty, while Okezone.com focuses on its controversial aspects. In the diagnose causes stage, CNNIndonesia.com highlights internal party factors and ideological interests, whereas Okezone.com emphasizes Megawati's central role in decision-making. The make moral judgment element in both media shows that PDIP prioritizes cadre loyalty over the electability of external figures, albeit from different perspectives. Lastly, in the treatment recommendation stage, CNNIndonesia.com suggests transparency to reduce negative perceptions, while Okezone.com stresses the importance of further explanation from PDIP to maintain public support. These findings indicate that media framing not only shapes public opinion but can also influence local political dynamics by crafting specific narratives tailored to each media outlet's focus. This study underscores the critical role of media in shaping public perceptions and opinions about candidates and party decisions, potentially impacting the outcome of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Pilkada
