    No full text
This study analyzes the strategies employed by women farmers in achieving family food security in Bandung Jaya Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency. Using a qualitative case study design, eight purposively selected informants including members of the “Kaba Indah Lestari” Women Farmers Group (KWT) and village authorities were interviewed through in-depth interviews supported by non-participant observations and document analysis. The findings reveal four integrated strategies: (1) food production through optimal and sustainable use of family fields, group plots, and home gardens; (2) food access strategies involving produce exchange, selective selling to middlemen, and livelihood diversification; (3) food management and consumption strategies that ensure balanced household nutrition through storage, processing, and adaptive menu planning; and (4) empowerment through KWT as a platform for capacity building, knowledge exchange, and social solidarity. Using Moser’s Gender and Development (GAD) framework, the study shows that women farmers perform productive, reproductive, and community management roles that are essential for strengthening household resilience and sustaining local food systems. The study concludes that women’s empowerment plays a critical role in building a gender-equitable and sustainable food security system in rural communities

This study aimed to examine whether interactive multimedia based on Augmented Reality (AR) can improve students’ learning outcomes in the Natural Disaster Mitigation topic at MA Ahmad Yani Jabung. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 16 Grade XI students selected through purposive sampling. A 12-item multiple-choice test was used to measure learning outcomes and was validated through expert judgment, Pearson’s correlation, and reliability testing, yielding Cronbach’s Alpha coefficients of 0.874 (pretest) and 0.904 (posttest). Data were analyzed using a paired t-test and N-Gain score. The results revealed a notable improvement, with average scores increasing from 55.21 (pretest) to 82.81 (posttest), categorized as moderate to high improvement based on the N-Gain value. The paired t-test indicated a statistically significant difference in students’ scores before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that AR-based interactive multimedia is effective in enhancing geography learning outcomes by providing engaging, interactive, and contextually meaningful learning experiences

Banana stem or banana pith (Musa paradisiaca L.) is an often underutilized part of the banana plant, despite its high content of dietary fiber and polyphenols. This study aims to process banana stems into flour and use it as a base ingredient for producing chips, as well as to evaluate the product's quality based on sensory aspects and economic feasibility. The research method involves the process of banana stems flour production, mixing it with tapioca flour in various proportions, and conducting organoleptic testing with 22 panelists, consisting of academics and the general public. The results indicate that the optimal formulation is achieved with a 50% banana stem flour and 50% tapioca flour ratio. Quality testing showed that 95.4% of panelists rated the chips as savory with a distinct banana stem flavor, 100% agreed the color was brown and met the standard, 100% found the texture to be crisp and crunchy, and 97% considered the oval shape ideal. From an economic perspective, the production of these chips incurs a cost of IDR 50,000 per batch, with a selling price of IDR 1,500 per package and a net profit of IDR 1,450,000 per month. SWOT analysis and business strategy indicate that banana stem chips have potential for development as a home-based industry product with promising market prospects. In conclusion, the utilization of banana stems as a base ingredient for chips not only provides an innovative food alternative but also offers a competitive economic value

The technology-based ecotourism quality improvement program aims to improve the quality of ecotourism in Karawang Regency by integrating information technology into the Tourism Awareness Village Groups (Pokdarwis), utilizing digital media as a promotional tool. This community engagement program was initiated to address the challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and tourism awareness groups (Pokdarwis) in Cibereum Village, Karawang. While having strong potential, the program's implementation method involves conducting training covering digital marketing materials, creative content creation, social media management, and the use of Android-based applications. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the capacity of Pokdarwis to independently manage and promote their ecotourism destinations. The use of technology not only opens new economic opportunities but also encourages the creativity and independence of Pokdarwis in developing the tourism potential of their villages. Thus, this program contributes to the creation of a more modern, integrated, and sustainable ecotourism in Karawang Regency. In agriculture, handicrafts, and ecotourism, local communities face challenges such as limited branding, weak digital literacy, and unstructured management of tourism activities. These obstacles hamper market expansion and reduce the competitiveness of MSMEs and local ecotourism. To address these issues, an integrative approach was implemented by combining MSME digitalization with strengthening community-based ecotourism. This program was implemented through several stages, including participatory problem identification, integrated solution design, capacity building, technology introduction, and evaluation. Activities included creating visual identities and digital promotional tools for MSMEs, digital literacy training for villagers, and mentoring Pokdarwis (tourism groups) in managing environmentally friendly tourism. Additionally, appropriate technologies such as maggot cultivation were introduced as a solution for managing organic waste and providing alternative animal feed

The Nila Banjar Indah MSME has so far relied solely on conventional marketing, such as bazaars run by relevant agencies, to market its products, even though several of its competitors have embraced digital marketing. To compete, this MSME needs to develop digital marketing efforts, particularly on social media. Digital training was conducted as an effort to increase the marketing capacity of MSMEs in Nila Banjar Indah through the utilization of digital technology. During the activity, participants were given a basic understanding of the importance of digital marketing in the modern economic era, as well as practical training on the use of social media, marketplaces, and other digital tools to market processed tilapia products effectively. The extension activities consisted of 4 sessions, namely a pre-test, provision of materials and training, discussions, and a post-test. Before the extension activities were carried out, a pre-test was conducted with a pre-test calculation result of 31% and after the activities were carried out, a post-test was carried out with a calculation result of 69% which indicated that initially some participants did not know much about digital marketing. However, after the extension activities were carried out, several digital marketing tools were created in its implementation through FB, Instagram, and Tik Tok to expand the market. It is hoped that the creation of social media as a digital marketing tool will gradually increase the profits of the Nila Banjar Indah MSME by expanding its market share, which has previously relied solely on existing customers. This digital marketing strategy will help it compete with similar MSMEs and larger companies operating in the same area as the Nila Banjar Indah MSME
