    No full text
This study aims to examine the management of Christianity-based character education in improving the quality of high school education. The research was conducted at one of the Christian high schools in the Tangerang area. The basis for this research is the increasing need for character strengthening in the midst of the moral crisis of the younger generation due to the impact of the negative influence of globalization, technological developments, and the lack of integration of religious values in the lives of students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method where data is obtained through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The subjects of the study are the principal, vice principal for curriculum and student affairs, teachers of PAK, BK and PKn, homeroom teachers, students, parents and alumni. The results of the study show that the management of Christian-based character education in schools is well designed through systematic, collaborative, and evaluative management. The planning stage is designed in a systematic, structured, and integrated manner from the center (foundation) which is then integrated into the vision and mission, learning objectives, and appropriate curriculum. The organization is carried out with a whole-school approach, which involves all school residents, namely principals, vice principals, teachers, students, parents and alumni. The implementation stage takes place through curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular learning, where each activity must integrate Christian values. Other actions taken are with an exemplary approach to life and constructive interpersonal communication. Character education is carried out continuously so as to produce an effective habituation process. Subsequently, at the monitoring and evaluation stage, it is carried out holistically and continuously. There are character rubrics in the report cards, reflective journals of students, and evaluations from teachers and foundations accompanied by follow-up on improving and strengthening the program. This shows that Christianity-based character education contributes greatly to improving the quality of education

This research aims to develop a history e-book based on historical heritage in Rokan Hilir as an innovative learning media to improve students’ learning motivation in history subject for Grade XI at SMAN 1 Kubu Babussalam. The background of this study is the low student engagement in history learning caused by the lack of contextual and interactive teaching materials. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection techniques included expert validation, student response questionnaires, and motivation assessment before and after using the developed e-book. The results showed that the e-book was categorized as "very feasible" with a material expert validation score of 92% and a media expert validation score of 94%. Student response in small and large group trials also reached a very positive category, with an average of 91%. Moreover, student motivation increased significantly after the implementation of the e-book, demonstrating its effectiveness in engaging learners. The novelty of this research lies in its integration of local historical sites—such as the Rokan Palace, colonial architecture, and traditional Islamic relics—into a digital format, enhancing the relevance and appeal of history lessons. The e-book not only supports curriculum goals but also contributes to the preservation and promotion of local cultural heritage through education

This study aims to analyze the contribution of Salafi understanding among alumni of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI) Program at STAI As-Sunnah Tanjung Morawa in countering terrorism-related ideologies in Indonesia. Amid the widespread dissemination of radical ideologies, especially among youth through social media and educational institutions, authentic Salafi teachings offer a moderate and non-violent religious approach. Although STAI As-Sunnah does not formally identify itself as a Salafi institution, the educational and preaching orientation of its alumni reflects a strong adherence to the values of the Salafus Shalih. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a correlational method. A sample of 35 alumni was selected through purposive sampling, and data were collected via a closed-ended questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The findings indicate that alumni possess a very high level of Salafi understanding, accompanied by a strong attitude against terrorism. There is a very strong correlation between Salafi understanding and anti-terrorism attitudes, with the former significantly contributing to ideological resilience against radicalism. The study concludes that proper and balanced Salafi understanding plays a vital role in shaping moderate religious attitudes and supports deradicalization efforts within the Indonesian Muslim community, particularly among the younger generation

This research is motivated by the challenges of religious moderation in Indonesia, especially in Aceh, which is known for the application of Islamic Sharia and religious diversity. The purpose of this study is to explore the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in internalizing the value of religious moderation in SMK-SMTI Banda Aceh, a vocational school that reflects this diversity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to dig into information in depth. The results of the study show that the religious moderation policy in schools has been implemented effectively through equal treatment for students from various religious backgrounds and the internalization of moderation values in PAI learning. PAI teachers play an important role in relating the material to students' daily experiences, so that students can apply the value of moderation in social interactions. The conclusion of this study confirms that the internalization of the value of religious moderation not only strengthens academic understanding, but also forms the positive character of students who are ready to face diversity in society. These findings show the importance of education that prioritizes the values of religious moderation as a foundation for creating a more tolerant and inclusive society in the future

    No full text
This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership, school culture, and job satisfaction on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Temanggung District. Employing a quantitative research approach with a survey method, data were collected from 152 teachers using validated questionnaires and analyzed with multiple regression techniques. The findings reveal that transformational leadership contributes the highest impact on teacher performance (48.7%), followed by job satisfaction (38.7%) and school culture (37.4%). Simultaneously, these three variables account for 61.6% of the variance in teacher performance, indicating that the combination of effective leadership, positive school culture, and high job satisfaction significantly enhances teacher performance. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative model that simultaneously examines the roles of leadership, organizational culture, and job satisfaction in the context of Indonesian elementary education, particularly in Temanggung. However, this study is limited to a single district and focuses only on three independent variables. Future research should expand the scope to other regions and incorporate additional variables such as pedagogical competence, intrinsic motivation, and organizational commitment, possibly employing a mixed-methods approach. These extensions will provide deeper insights and more comprehensive recommendations for improving teacher performance and educational quality
