THE ROLE OF TEACHERS IN INCREASING INTEREST IN LEARNING IN CLASS V CHILDREN AT SDN 38/II PAUH AGUNG: PERAN GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR ANAK KELAS V DI SDN 38/II PAUH AGUNG

    No full text
The problem in this research is that students' interest in learning is still relatively low. Some students seemed unfocused, paid little attention to the teacher, and were busy playing alone during the lesson, especially during the second lesson. This indicates a lack of a pleasant learning atmosphere and a lack of active participation from students. This low interest in learning can also be caused by the teacher's teaching style which is monotonous, less varied, and does not adapt to the needs and characteristics of students. Students' moods, as well as limited facilities and infrastructure at school, are also factors that influence their enthusiasm for learning. Students' interest in learning can be reflected in the way they follow lessons, pay attention to teachers, and interact in the learning process. In carrying out their duties, teachers have various important roles such as educators, instructors, mentors, leaders, motivators, facilitators and evaluators. According to Slameto in Rifal (2022), teachers must be able to provide encouragement, inspiration and motivation to their students so that they feel enthusiastic about developing their potential. Teachers must continue to develop their professionalism so that they are able to carry out their roles effectively according to the demands of the times and the needs of students

This study aims to examine the influence of scientific thinking ability in science literacy on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of plants within the Natural Sciences subject for Grade IV at SDN 012 Ujungbatu. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational method, the research involved all 28 students in the class using a saturated sampling technique. Instruments used included a Guttman scale questionnaire to assess scientific thinking ability and multiple-choice tests to evaluate learning outcomes. Validity and reliability tests were conducted using SPSS version 25, with all items meeting the standards (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.920 for the thinking skills questionnaire and 0.960 for the learning test). Item analysis revealed balanced levels of difficulty and good discriminating power. Prerequisite tests showed that the data met the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The hypothesis test using linear regression analysis demonstrated a significant positive effect of scientific thinking ability on science learning outcomes, with a regression coefficient of 0.450 and a significance level of 0.000. The findings confirm that students with higher scientific thinking abilities tend to achieve better academic results. Therefore, fostering scientific thinking skills in the context of science literacy is essential to enhance students' academic performance and critical reasoning from an early age

This study examines the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on employee discipline at PT BPRS Tunas Artha Jaya Abadi Ngadiluwih, which plays a crucial role in maintaining organizational performance through the development of a disciplined work culture. The background of this research lies in the fact that although the company has applied a fingerprint attendance system and sanctions in the form of meal allowance deductions, employee discipline is still often understood merely as an administrative obligation rather than as an internalized behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of disciplinary SOPs, identify the challenges faced, and formulate improvement strategies to create a sustainable culture of discipline. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the branch leader and section heads as key informants. The data obtained were analyzed systematically through selection, categorization, and drawing conclusions based on emerging patterns in the field. The findings indicate that punishment in the form of meal allowance deductions has been applied consistently, yet rewards specifically for discipline have not been implemented evenly and remain focused on work target achievements. Moreover, disciplinary assessments are still limited to attendance, while other essential aspects such as procedural compliance, work ethic, and initiative have not received sufficient attention

    No full text
Holistic performance assessment is an assessment approach that focuses not only on work outcomes, but also on the process, potential, and personality and social aspects of employees in the context of basic education. This study aims to analyze the application of holistic performance assessment as an instrument for employee competency development at SDN Rampal Celaket 1 Malang City. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of school principals, teachers, and education staff. The results of the study show that holistic performance assessment is able to provide a comprehensive picture of employee performance through the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The application of this assessment contributes to the improvement of employees' professional, pedagogic, social, and personality competencies through reflective feedback and continuous development planning. In addition, the assessment process involving active participation between assessors and employees encourages a collaborative, transparent, and work-oriented work culture that is oriented towards improving the quality of educational services. The main obstacle found is the limited understanding and consistency of the implementation of assessments in the field, so continuous training and assistance are needed for schools. Thus, holistic performance assessment can be used as a strategic instrument in educational human resource management to build adaptive, reflective, and competitive employee competencies, in line with the demands of 21st century education transformation

This study, entitled “A Study on the Customary Prohibition of Cousin Marriage in the Alas Indigenous Community: Perspectives from Customary Law and Islamic Law,” aims to analyze the reasons behind the prohibition of cousin marriage in the Alas community, examine its compatibility with Islamic law, and explore its social implications within indigenous society. The research specifically investigates why marriages between paternal cousins (sepekhinding) and maternal cousins (pemekhenen) are prohibited, while marriages with the daughter of the father’s sister (mekhimpal) are encouraged under the customary concept of kawin mekhimpal. The study employs a qualitative field research method, with data collected from traditional elders and community leaders in Southeast Aceh through interviews and observation. Data were analyzed descriptively to interpret the relationship between customary norms and Islamic legal principles. The findings reveal that the prohibition of sepekhinding and pemekhenen marriages is rooted in the principle of preserving family honor, maintaining the integrity of the nuclear family, and preventing internal conflict within close kinship structures. Meanwhile, the encouragement of marriage with mekhimpal cousins symbolizes reciprocal relationships that strengthen social and familial cohesion in the extended family system. The results indicate that, based on the Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic legal analogy (qiyās), the practice of cousin marriage itself is permissible in Islam. Therefore, the customary prohibition of marriage with certain cousins, such as sepekhinding and pemekhenen, is not aligned with Islamic law, which does not restrict marriage among cousins. The discussion highlights that the Alas customary system reflects a sociocultural adaptation aimed at maintaining harmony within the community, even though it differs from Islamic legal provisions. Hence, the study concludes that the customary practice has sociological and moral value but should be reinterpreted in light of Islamic jurisprudence to ensure alignment between religious law and local tradition

    No full text
Graduate quality serves as the primary indicator of an educational institution’s success, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which have a dual orientation: developing students’ academic competence and spirituality. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of spiritual leadership, teacher competence, and learning organization culture on graduate quality, as well as to examine the moderating role of learning organization culture in these relationships. This study employs a quantitative explanatory approach using the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS) method. The research population includes teachers, school principals, and students from four formal educational institutions under the auspices of Pesantren Al Amien Jember. The results reveal that: (1) spiritual leadership has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.000); (2) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.000); (3) learning organization culture has a positive and significant effect on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.018); (4) learning organization culture moderates the effect of spiritual leadership on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.010); and (5) learning organization culture also moderates the effect of teacher competence on graduate quality (P-Value = 0.032). These findings affirm that visionary spiritual leadership, excellent teacher competence, and an adaptive, collaborative learning organization culture play crucial roles in enhancing the quality of pesantren graduates. Practically, the results recommend the development of a sustainable learning culture within pesantren environments to produce graduates who are of strong character, globally competitive, and capable of contributing positively to society

    No full text
This study examines how trust and risk perception shape shopping decisions on TikTok Shop, a growing form of live streaming-based social commerce in Indonesia. Using a qualitative digital ethnography approach, it explores users’ social and emotional experiences through digital observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of online interactions between hosts and young consumers in East Java. Findings reveal that trust emerges from social interaction, visual cues, and social validation. Communicative, transparent, and responsive hosts enhance credibility, while high-quality visuals reinforce authenticity and professionalism. Comments and testimonials (e-WOM) serve as collective validation, whereas negative experiences heighten perceived risk and caution. From the sellers’ perspective, offering discounts, showcasing testimonials, and maintaining honesty and consistency foster trust and loyalty. Theoretically, this study expands understanding of trust and risk in social commerce by emphasizing social and symbolic dimensions often overlooked by quantitative approaches. Practically, it guides TikTok Shop practitioners in building authentic, empathetic communication and encourages consumers to strengthen digital literacy in evaluating seller credibility. Overall, trust and risk in digital shopping emerge from dynamic interactions among humans, algorithms, and social representations within virtual marketplaces
