The development of global and national tourism faces serious challenges related to environmental degradation due to unsustainable mass tourism practices. This study aims to analyze the strategic contribution of environmental education to the development of sustainable and responsible tourism in Indonesia. The research uses a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method, based on the perspective of environmental sociology and critical education. The data sources consist of scientific journal articles, academic books, policy reports, as well as relevant case studies, collected through databases such as Scopus, Google Scholar, and DOAJ. The data collection technique is carried out through thematic tracing, while the data analysis is carried out interpretively with a thematic approach. The results of the study show that environmental education is able to increase ecological awareness, form ethical tourism behavior, and strengthen the conservation of local natural resources and culture. Implementation challenges include limited resources, resistance from industry players, and lack of policy support. However, community-based and participatory educational approaches have proven effective in a number of tourist destinations. The conclusions of this study affirm the importance of integrating environmental education in tourism management policies, curricula, and practices to support more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable development

THE INFLUENCE OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND PARENTING STYLE ON CHILDREN IN RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IN MANANTI VILLAGE, HUTARAJA TINGGI DISTRICT: PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN DAN POLA ASUH ORANG TUA TERHADAP ANAK DALAM BERTOLERANSI BERAGAMA DI DESA MANANTI KECAMATAN HUTARAJA TINGGI
This study aims to find out and analyze the influence of social environment and parental parenting on religious tolerance behavior in children in Manoni Village, Hutaraja Tinggi District. Religious tolerance is an important attitude in the life of a pluralistic society, and its formation is greatly influenced by internal factors in the family as well as external factors from the surrounding environment. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation of a number of informants, including parents, teachers, community leaders, and children. The results of the study show that an open, harmonious, and mutually respectful social environment plays a major role in shaping children's tolerant attitudes towards religious differences. On the other hand, parents who are democratic, communicative, and provide real examples in religious life also have a significant influence on the way children understand and behave towards diversity. Children who were raised with an inclusive parenting approach and were in a supportive environment showed higher levels of tolerance compared to children who were raised authoritarianly or grew up in an exclusive environment. This study concludes that the synergy between the role of family and the environment is very important in fostering children's tolerance from an early age, in order to form a peaceful and respectful society in the midst of religious differences

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INCLUSION OF SELF-PROTECTION CLAUSES IN THE MAKING OF NOTARY DEEDS (STUDY AT THE NOTARY OFFICE DIMITRI DANANG SAWITRAWAN, S.H., M.KN.): IMPLEMENTASI PENCANTUMAN KLAUSULA PROTEKSI DIRI DALAM PEMBUATAN AKTA NOTARIS (STUDI DI KANTOR NOTARIS DIMITRI DANANG SAWITRAWAN, S.H., M.KN.)
Notaries play a crucial role in drafting deeds, as they are legally authorized under the UUJN to perform this function. However, in practice, even when fulfilling their duties, obligations, and authority properly, notaries are often drawn into disputes between the parties involved. To prevent such risks, notaries frequently include a self-protection clause in the deeds they draft. This research addresses two main issues: (1) how the inclusion of self-protection clauses is implemented in notarial deeds, and (2) what form of legal protection is provided to notaries when clients disregard these clauses. The study employs an empirical legal research method with a sociological approach, using interviews and observations conducted at the office of Dimitri Danang Sawitrawan, S.H., M.Kn., a notary in Malang City. Data were analyzed deductively, moving from general legal provisions to specific cases. The findings reveal that a notary is not considered a party to the deed. Therefore, if disputes arise, the notary should not be implicated, either in criminal liability or as a defendant in civil cases. Legal protection remains valid even if the self-protection clause is absent, as long as formal requirements are met. As a precaution, notaries request supporting documentation such as photos, videos, or thumbprints to confirm parties’ approval of the deed
THE INFLUENCE OF THE ROLES OF SCHOOL SUPERVISORS AND PRINCIPALS ON THE QUALITY OF PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY IN REMBANG DISTRICT REMBANG REGENCY
This study aims to examine the influence of the roles of school supervisors and principals on the quality of public elementary schools in Rembang District, Rembang Regency. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 188 teachers from 45 public elementary schools. The research focuses on three main variables: school quality (dependent), the role of school supervisors, and the role of principals (independent). The results indicate that both school supervisors and principals have a statistically significant influence on school quality, both partially and simultaneously. However, the direction of influence is negative, suggesting that increased perception of their roles tends to appear in schools experiencing lower performance. Factor analysis reveals that managerial supervision by supervisors and the supervisory role of principals are the most dominant dimensions perceived by teachers. The novelty of this study lies in its finding that strong perceived leadership roles do not always correlate positively with school quality, especially when such roles are implemented as responses to existing problems. The study is limited by its use of perception-based data and cross-sectional design. Future research is recommended to adopt mixed methods, include objective school quality indicators, and use longitudinal data for broader and deeper insight
THE EFFECT OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITIONS ON COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN PAYING RURAL AND URBAN LAND AND BUILDING TAXES IN MEDAN CITY: (PENGARUH KEADAAN SOSIAL EKONOMI TERHADAP PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM MEMBAYAR PAJAK BUMI DAN BANGUNAN PEDESAAN DAN PERKOTAAN DI KOTA MEDAN)
This study analyzes the issue of land and building tax (PBB-P2) in rural and urban areas in Medan City using a socio-economic analysis approach. This approach aims to look at the relationship between social and economic conditions and the level of community participation. The main problem that is the focus of this study is to include the level of community participation in each administrative area in Medan City by combining socio-economic disparity analysis. This study is motivated by factual data related to PBB-P2 which indicates the difference in income in each area of Medan City. This difference indicates a correlation with the socio-economic disparity of the community, especially PBB-P2 is the main supply in Regional Original Revenue (PAD). This study is classified as a type of qualitative research using a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection was carried out by or through interviews, documentation and field observation methods. There are two types of data in this study, including primary sources as the primary source and secondary sources as complementary or reinforcing sources. The results of the study include the relationship between socioeconomic disparities and community participation. Socioeconomic disparities occur due to differences in the significance of income in each region, so that, according to him, this encourages community participation in paying taxes. Then, the behavior pattern of people in paying taxes is also influenced by technological aspects. This can be seen in rural areas where the intensity of community participation in paying taxes is increasing. The information shows that there is a duality relationship between social disparities based on socioeconomic circumstances and technological advances as part of efforts to increase community participation in paying land and building taxes

Rural Community Well-being in Mining-Affected Areas: A Portrait of Socio-Economics, Health, and Agriculture in North Minahasa Regency
This study examines the socio-economic, health, and agricultural conditions of communities in mining-affected villages in North Minahasa Regency, Indonesia, using a comprehensive census of 2,288 respondents across five villages—Tumbohon, Talawaan, Tatelu, Warukapas, and Tatelu Rondor with Klabat Village as a control site. Employing the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) framework, the research analyzes five key livelihood assets: human, social, natural, financial, and physical capital. Findings reveal a significant shift in livelihoods, with artisanal mining emerging as a primary income source, surpassing agriculture in economic contribution. While access to infrastructure and basic services is relatively adequate, critical vulnerabilities persist in human capital, particularly in education quality and youth school dropout rates linked to mining work. Health indicators show low prevalence of infectious diseases and high Covid-19 vaccination coverage; however, maternal and child health practices such as exclusive breastfeeding and routine immunization remain suboptimal. Nutritional challenges are evident, with low consumption of fruits and vegetables despite sufficient meal frequency. Social capital is structurally present but weakly expressed in collective action, as participation in communal activities is minimal. Financial dependence on informal and extractive sectors, coupled with limited access to formal financial institutions, increases economic vulnerability. The comparison with Klabat Village highlights a development paradox: higher income in mining areas does not equate to greater multidimensional well-being. This research underscores the need for holistic development strategies that strengthen institutional capacity, diversify livelihoods, and prioritize human development over short-term economic gains. The findings provide critical insights for policymakers, corporations, and local governments aiming to foster inclusive and sustainable development in extractive region
