PENGARUH PRETREATMENT TERHADAP KUALITAS KARBON AKTIF DARI BATANG ECENG GONDOK (Eichhornia crassipes)

    No full text

A Calcium is an important macromineral that plays a role in bone and tooth formation and helps maintain bone density. Calcium deficiency can increase the risk of osteoporosis. Tuna bone meal is a fairly high source of calcium that can be used as an ingredient in food products such as nuggets. The objective of this study is to help identify and develop alternative calcium sources that can be used in functional food products, such as tuna fish bone flour (Thunnus sp), which has the potential to increase calcium intake in the community. This study used a non-factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments: P1 (30% tuna fish bone flour), P2 (40% tuna fish bone flour), and P3 (50% tuna fish bone flour). Hedonic testing was conducted on the attributes of color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall quality using a scale of 1–5 by 33 moderately trained panelists. Calcium content analysis in the nuggets was performed using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method. Statistical analysis used the Kruskal-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney test. The preference test results showed no significant differences in color (p=0.251), aroma (p=0.308), and texture (p=0.643), while there were significant differences in taste (p=0.036) and overall quality (p=0.038). The preference test results showed that panelists preferred formulation P1 in terms of color, aroma, taste, and overall quality, making P1 the best formulation with a calcium content of 3.29%. One serving of tuna fish bone flour nuggets (40g) can meet ±100% of the daily calcium requirement

Another thing studied is their socio-economic life. The data collection techniques used are techniques usually used in qualitative research methodology consisting of (observation, interviews, documentation and library research), source criticism. The approach used is Apart from that, the interview guide is also used as an instrument to facilitate data collection in the form of explanations from respondents who are interviewed and are considered competent in their fields

HISTORY OF CONSTRUCTION IN BATAVIA DURING THE VOC PERIOD AS A FACTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARCHITECTURE IN INDONESIA : Sejarah Pembangunan Batavia Sebagai Faktor Perkembangan Arsitektur di Indonesia

    No full text
Architecture is an art and science that includes functional, aesthetic, cultural, social, and philosophical values. In the archipelago, architecture has long developed and reflects the influence of local culture, religion, and environment. The arrival of Westerners, especially the Dutch through the VOC, had a major impact on local architecture, creating acculturation between European styles and Nusantara traditions. Batavia Old Town, as the center of Dutch colonial administration, is a clear example of this acculturation. This research uses the architectural historiography method to analyze the history, structure, and influence of Batavia's colonial architecture on the development of the Nusantara's infrastructure. The results show that colonial architectural styles in Batavia, such as the use of local materials and adaptation to the tropical climate, resulted in a distinctive “Indies Vernacular” style. The structure of Batavia city, including its canals and spatial layout, reflects both colonial dominance and heritage that shaped Indonesian architectural identity. In addition, Batavia's Dutch canals have also been implicated in a record of functional failure due to incompatibility with local conditions. This research provides insights into the role of colonial architecture in shaping the infrastructure and urban development of the archipelago

Gentrification is a social phenomenon that involves regional transformation due to changes in social, economic, and cultural structures. This article discusses the relationship between gentrification and tourism through a gentricological approach, focusing on how the development of new areas due to gentrification contributes to the tourism potential in Indonesia. This research highlights the multifaceted role, ranging from government policies, business expansion, to socio-cultural impacts in gentrified areas. Various examples of regions such as Cilegon, Tanjung Bunga, Batam, and Tomohon were analyzed to identify the dynamics between indigenous and immigrant populations and their influence on local tourism activities. The results of the study show that gentrification can support the development of tourism through the emergence of new attractions, infrastructure improvements, and cultural diversification, although on the other hand it has the potential to cause social and economic inequality. These findings underscore the importance of careful and inclusive planning in the gentrification process so that the positive impact on the tourism sector can be maximized without neglecting the social sustainability aspect
