THE FIRST OPERA OF THE TURKISH WORLD "LEYLI AND MAJNUN’’

    No full text
The Turkish world's opera history gave its first example in 1908 with the opera "Leyli and Majnun" by Azerbaijani composer Üzeyir Hacıbeyli. According to many sources, "Leyli and Majnun" is described as the first opera of the Turkish world and the Islamic world, and the east. The most important feature of this opera is the masterful synthesis of classical western music and folk music. The opera, which was composed for the first time in this way, influenced the east with its staging and ensured that the art of opera was adopted by the public. The great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli was born in the city of Shusha in Azerbaijan, which was developed in the field of literature and music and called the "natural conservatory." He developed his existing talent here and built it on solid foundations. He was interested in music and literature, wrote many books, articles, and was a writer for newspapers. The subject of the opera Leyli and Majnun is taken from Fuzuli's "Leyli and Majnun" poetry of the same name. At the age of 13, the composer decided to write this opera, influenced by the theater show "At the tomb of Majnun Leyli'' which he watched in Shusha, his home city. He started working on opera in 1907 when he was only 22 years old. By bringing a different perspective to opera, he used the tonal structure of western music with 'mugham,' also known as Azerbaijani folk music. This type of opera is also called "Mugam Opera.'' The opera, which was composed and performed despite the conditions of the period, preserved its originality by combining two cultures and was performed many times in other countries. Operas from the Turkish world are rarely staged in our country, and there is a need for such an article because the opera "Leyli and Majnun" has not been staged much in Turkey and there are very few theses, articles, and books about it. In this study; Different titles have been created such as the history of Azerbaijan opera, the life of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the composer's process of creating the opera, and the content of the opera Leyli and Majnun

Bayer kimyagerlerinden Felix Hoffmann, 10 Ağustos 1897’de saf acetylsalicylic acidi elde ettikten ve bunun başarılı tedavi etkisi görüldükten sonra Bayer, ürünü dünyaya tanıtmak amacıyla geniş çaplı reklam çalışmaları yapmıştır. Bayer’in pazar hedefindeki ülkelerden biri de Türkiye’dir.

SOVİET REALİTİES AND NATİONALİSM İN THE WORKS OF XX CENTURY AZERBAİJANİ POET SARDAR ASAD

    No full text
Sardar Asad (1929-1975), one of the representatives of XX century Azerbaijani poetry with a unique artistic and aesthetic style, left a rich artistic heritage.S.Asad started his poetry career from the early 50s of last century. At that time, he glorified heartily the Soviet period. But his world of spirituality was not only based on Soviet ideological characters. As a man deeply attached to his people, their culture, national customs and traditions, he believed that the Soviet ideology was interested in the development of the national existence of the peoples living in the national republics, including the Azerbaijani people. Over time, national motives grew in Asad's work. He begins to sing folklore-ethnographic codes more often, which express the national roots, the national existence. In this regard, the poems written by S.Asad in the series "Shushtar in Shusha" plays an important role in his work . We would even like to say that the series "Shushtar in Shusha” covers the culmination of his creativity expressing national thinking and national desires of the artist. Even if you look at the first book of poems by Asad, who played an important role in the creation of avant-garde literature in the 60s and preferred national motives in his poetry, it is impossible not to see how much he is connected to national culture and national values of Azerbaijan. In this sense, national motives in the artist's work are more reflected in the self-realization of national thought. Wherever the hero of the poet is, he is a typical Azerbaijani, along with all Soviet political views: a person connected with the national way of life, national morals and behavior, the nature of the homeland. In this regard, national motives in Asad's work are reflected in the artistic embodiment of the codes expressing the national identity of Azerbaijan

Abstract: Fairy tales, which have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries and are a cultural heritage, are products of national and international oral tradition. They have a literary quality and reveal the characteristics of the culture to which they belong. It is a fact that the fairy tales that were formed in a historically undetermined time period have different meanings. Fairy tales are of great importance in terms of analyzing the structure of the society to which it belongs and of the human relations in that society. Although the fairy tales of the Grimm brothers, which are the most famous and popular in German literature, were initially seen as didactic and educational purposes, Bruno Bettelheim took the fairy tales from a psychological and psychoanalytic perspective and gave them a new direction. The famous fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, Hansel and Gretel, which has an international character, was found worth examining in this context. Here, the concepts of fear and sexuality in the fairy tale, which we will deal with based on Bruno Bettelheim's theory, will be examined. Psychological and psychoanalytic analysis of these concepts will be made and their effects on the human psyche will be revealed
