Effectiveness of Forest Moratorium Policy Using the EMMIE Framework Approach
The increasing rate of deforestation in Indonesia has become a critical environmental issue that threatens ecological balance and undermines global climate change mitigation efforts. In response, the Indonesian government implemented a permanent forest moratorium policy through Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2019, aiming to halt the issuance of new permits for primary forest and peatland exploitation. However, its effectiveness at the local level remains questionable, particularly in regions facing strong economic pressures such as Lembang Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the forest moratorium policy in Lembang using the EMMIE Framework, which evaluates five dimensions: Effect, Mechanism, Moderators, Implementation, and Economy. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with local government officials, community leaders, tourism operators, and residents, complemented by field observations and document analysis. The results reveal that while the moratorium policy has succeeded in stopping the issuance of new forest conversion permits, illegal land use for tourism and commercial purposes continues to occur due to weak law enforcement, overlapping institutional authority, and low community participation. The analysis further shows that economic pressures and the high market value of forest land act as significant drivers of policy violations. From an implementation perspective, the lack of coordination between central and local agencies hinders policy consistency and sustainability. The study concludes that the effectiveness of the forest moratorium policy in Lembang remains limited and recommends strengthening institutional coordination, enhancing community involvement, enforcing stricter supervision, and promoting sustainable livelihood alternatives to balance environmental protection and local economic development

Changes in the Livelihood Environment of Fishermen in Tambak Lorok Village
This study explores the changes in the livelihood environment of fishermen in Tambak Lorok Village, a coastal community that has faced significant ecological, social, and economic transformations over the past decade. The research aims to analyze how environmental degradation, coastal reclamation, and climate change have affected fishermen’s sources of income, social structure, and adaptive capacity. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving local fishermen, community leaders, and related institutions. The findings reveal that shifts in marine ecosystems, reduced fish populations, and coastal pollution have directly disrupted traditional fishing patterns and decreased household income levels. In response, fishermen have adopted various adaptive strategies, including diversification of livelihoods through fish trading, aquaculture, and informal labor in nearby urban areas. Social networks and community solidarity continue to play a vital role in sustaining economic and emotional resilience, as reflected in cooperative activities and local support systems. However, limited access to capital, declining environmental quality, and inadequate policy support remain significant challenges. The study concludes that the livelihood transition among Tambak Lorok fishermen represents a dynamic interaction between environmental change and human adaptation. Strengthening sustainable coastal management, providing economic diversification programs, and integrating local participation into development planning are essential to ensure long-term resilience and livelihood security in coastal communities affected by environmental transformatio

The Effect of Welding Speed on the Welding Quality AISI 1020 and AISI 1050 Steel Using Shielded Metal Arc Welding Technology
Material joining techniques are divided into two categories: similar joints and dissimilar joints. The difference in thermal cycles experienced by each material is the reason why dissimilar welding is more challenging than similar welding. The welding process that joins two materials with different properties is commonly used to improve effectiveness and efficiency in production, as well as to improve product quality. This trend has become popular in the manufacturing industry, including in the manufacture of tailor welded blanks, transportation vehicle frames such as aircraft, trains, and cars, as well as in the manufacture of public and private vehicle accessories such as aircraft panels and exhausts. The materials currently widely used in exploration are stainless steel combined with carbon steel, as well as a mixture of stainless steel and low carbon steel, which is quite challenging to weld but offers the advantages of higher strength, corrosion resistance, and lighter weight. This challenge can be overcome through liquid welding methods, one of which is the "SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)" technique. This study used variations in welding time at 5, 10, and 10 m/minute. Quality testing was carried out using visual tests, tensile tests, and impact tests, using AISI 1020 steel and AISI 1050 steel. Based on the test results, there was a significant difference in that the welds appeared to be shinier. The tensile strength results were in the form of average strain values for each specimen, which were 0.0705 mm, 0.0487 mm, and 0.1074 mm. The impact test results, which compared toughness values using a predetermined welding time variation of 16.5 joules, showed an average toughness value of 0.1948 J/mm²
Why Do People Adopt Mobile Passports? An Extension of Technology Acceptance Model
The increasing demand for efficient public services in the immigration sector has driven the Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia to innovate through the Mobile Passport (M-Passport) application. This digital platform enables the public to apply for new passports and renew expired ones online, aligning with national e-government policies to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. This study aims to examine factors influencing the adoption of M-Passport using an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by incorporating the variable of individual attractiveness. Specifically, it investigates the effects of individual attractiveness, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use on attitude, as well as their indirect influence on behavioral intention. A quantitative approach was applied, utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on data from 400 respondents who accessed M-Passport services at the Class I TPI Immigration Office in Padang. Non-probability convenience sampling was employed, and data were analyzed for validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. Results reveal that three of six hypotheses were supported: individual attractiveness positively and significantly affects perceived usefulness; perceived ease of use positively and significantly affects perceived usefulness; and attitude positively and significantly affects behavioral intention. Conversely, individual attractiveness, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use showed no significant direct effects on attitude. The findings underscore the importance of enhancing the application’s visual appeal and ease of use to improve perceived usefulness and ultimately drive adoption. This research contributes both theoretically, by extending TAM in the context of public service innovation, and practically, by offering recommendations to immigration authorities for improving M-Passport uptake
