Implementing Sustainable Technologies for Greener Environment
Get PDFOver the years, all parts of a commercial refrigerator, such as the compressor, heat exchangers, refrigerant, and packaging, have been improved considerably due to the extensive research and development efforts carried out by academia and industry. However, the achieved and anticipated improvement in conventional refrigeration technology are incremental since this technology is already nearing its fundamentals limit of energy efficiency is described is ‘magnetic refrigeration’ which is an evolving cooling technology. The word ‘green’ designates more than a colour. It is a way of life, one that is becoming more and more common throughout the world. An interesting topic on ‘sustainable technologies for a greener world’ details about what each technology is and how it achieves green goals. Recently, conventional chillers using absorption technology consume energy for hot water generator but absorption chillers carry no energy saving. With the aim of providing a single point solution for this dual purpose application, a product is launched but can provide simultaneous chilling and heating using its vapour absorption technology with 40% saving in heating energy. Using energy efficiency and managing customer energy use has become an integral and valuable exercise. The reason for this is green technology helps to sustain life on earth. This not only applies to humans but to plants, animals and the rest of the ecosystem. Energy prices and consumption will always be on an upward trajectory. In fact, energy costs have steadily risen over last decade and are expected to carry on doing so as consumption grows
An Organo-Catalyst Mediated Synthesis of Chalcones of Dehydroacetic Acid And Determination of Their Anti-Oxidant Activity.
Get PDFA diverse series of chalcones of dehydroacetic acid were synthesized and subjected to antioxidant activity. Highest DPPH scavenging effect was observed in case of HR 4 displaying IC50 of 4.18 mg/ml in comparison to the standard ascorbic acid (IC50 0f 4.04 mg/ml). However the highest hydroxyl radical scavenging effect was displayed by HR 25 exhibiting (IC50 10.21). Keeping in view the very low cytotoxicity issues of most of the chalcone derivatives of dehydroacetic acid, this study provides an important aspect with regard to the use of dehydroacetic acid based derivatives as antioxandts
Effective learning with the help of animals
Get PDFInternational studies show that children, when asked to list different species, generally talk about animals that are not found in their own environment. Remarkable and extraordinary vertebrates, especially mammals, are mentioned whereas small animals (invertebrates and insects) are hardly ever discussed. An insufficient awareness of invertebrates seems to be culturally universal and can be found in different countries and continents. Experiential learning and a direct animal encounter are suggested as a means for a modern environmental education to address issues of biodiversity. In this study we assessed attitudes towards animals of 57 students before and after a presentation of living animals which was undertaken during their lessons. We compared the answers they gave in their questionnaires with those of 50 students from a control group. Results suggest that the presentation of animals leads to more positive attitudes towards the listed animals

The objective of this article is to compile studies that will allow us to answer these questions affirmatively and conclude that large transnational, multinational or global companies involve higher Agency Costs than those that remain within national borders

Get PDFIn this research, we introduce and represent the modified Khater method on two basic models in the optical fiber. These two models describe the dynamics of the wave movement in the optical fiber. It is a new modification of new recent method which developed by Mostafa M. A. Khater in 2017. We implement this new modified technique on Schwarzian Korteweg de Vries equation and (2+1)-Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur equation. This modification of Khater method produces more closed solutions than many other methods. Schwarzian Korteweg de Vries (SKdV) equation has a closed relationship with (2+1)-Ablowitz- Kaup-Newell-Segur equation. Schwarzian Korteweg de Vries equation prescribes the location in a micro-segment of space and motion of the isolated waves in varied fields which localized in a tiny portion of space. Sustainable development without amicable growth challenges of societal injustice
Get PDFSustainable development is taken to mean as the development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It underlines the concept of needs, in particular the essential needs of the world's poor, to which overriding priority needs to be given (World Commission on Environment and Development, Our Common Future 1987). At the core of sustainable development is the need to consider “three pillars” together: society, economy and environment (OECD 2008). In a way, this demands harmony between resources and time, space and various social segments with preferential emphasis on the development of the marginalised social segments. The inclusive approach for sustainable development recognizes the need for all people to be involved in the process and decisions that affect their lives. Societies and economies which are embedded with lack or absence of harmony and practice exclusivity obstructing development of certain poor segments of society may neither develop well nor sustain development. In view of this, the Caste System and within it the de facto position of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SCs and STs) emerge as a major point of intense consideration in relation to sustainable development.
The available evidence shows that the SC/STs continue to remain a deprived lot. The importance of human resource capital, particularly education, for growth is duly recognised but the SC/STs are obstructed even in the institution of learning from acquiring potentialities for the required purpose. Also, they face psychologically aggressive environment on account of their birth-based (humiliating) status and this denudes them of self respect and nips their productive potential at the budding stage. Moreover, they acquire psychological sickness of sorts. At the end of the day, they emerge as burden even for themselves instead of being productive stake holders in the society and economy.
Can we move on the path of sustainable development by neglecting SC/STs? This demands an immediate as well as long term solution. The first and foremost need is to come out of denial mode. Or else, our economy and society is, in all likelihood, to face consequences associated with racism

A Fast Cryptographic Protocol for Anonymous Voting
Get PDFIn this work, we discuss the problem of electronic voting. This notion has become widely sought in the world, which justifies the efforts made by researchers in this field. Voting by electronic means does not facilitate the task only for the organizers, but also for the voters who can send their choices from the home. Our system of binary electronic voting is based on Paillier cryptosystem. We chose this protocol as it is an additive homomorphism which will facilitate the calculation of the final vote results. The method presents a great difficulty in the decryption for attackers as it is based on the problem of factoring large numbers.
The protocol that we propose guarantees the anonymity of the vote, i.e. no one should know the vote of an elector. We also worked on the control of the parties holding the ballot. This increases the security, reliability and integrity of the vote. We have introduced several cryptographic notions to create an effective scheme
Detection of Offensive Tweets: A Comparative Study
Get PDFWith the growing popularity, Twitter has become a major platform for posting views via tweets. Tweets contain useful, relevant and offensive content as well. More than a decade of research has resulted in numerous techniques and models to detect offensive content. However, little is known about lexically offensive and contextual offensive content. In this research paper, lexical offensive contents have been identified using two techniques- Rule-Based Naive Bayes (RNB) and a collaborative model of LDA with Naïve Bayes (LDANB). LDANB provides better results as compared to RNB for lexical offensive tweet detection. Further, contextually offensive contents are detected using newly devised Adjective Based approach. Contextual offensive content results prove to be better with Adjective based approach than Cosine similarity based results. To validate results of applied offensive tweet detection techniques three performance metrics- precision, Accuracy and recall are used
