    Reference Temperature Dependent Thermoelastic Solid with Voids Subjected to Continuous Heat Sources

    In the present article, the reference temperature dependency Lord--Shulman model of generalized thermoelasticity with voids subjected to a continuous heat source in a half-space is discussed. The Laplace transform together with eigenvalue approach technique is applied to find a closed-form solution for the physical variables viz. distribution of temperature, volume fraction field, deformation and stress field in the Laplace transform domain. The numerical inversions of those physical variables in the space-time domain are carried out by using the Zakian algorithm for the inversion of the Laplace transform. Numerical results are shown graphically and the results obtained are analyzed

    On Modified Picard−S−AK Hybrid Iterative Algorithm for Approximating Fixed Point of Banach Contraction Map

    The purpose of this work is to introduce a new iteration called the modified Picard-S-AK hybrid iterative scheme for approximating fixed point for Banach contractive maps. We show that our scheme converges to a unique fixed point p at a rate faster than the recent AK iterative scheme for Banach contractive maps. Furthermore, using Java programming language, we give some numerical examples to justify our claim. Stability and data dependence of the proposed scheme are also explored

    A Study of The Application Of Simulation Software for Business Processes

    This paper reports on the experiences of using two popular business process simulation (BPS) software packages. BPS is a technique, which assists companies in mimicking their everyday operations to find ways in which to improve and develop them in order to achieve either productivity, financial or risk-free gains. There are many computer packages available on the market, and it is important to have an idea of the type of software that can promote these benefits further. The two software packages investigated in this study are Witness by the Lanner Group and Simul8 by the Simul8 Corporation. These packages are used by organisations as management tools to optimise their internal practices. A practical evaluation of both packages has been undertaken, using the model building of case studies in both Witness and Simul8. Comparisons were made, with a number of conclusions and recommendations, and the advantages and disadvantages of each package are given. This study is different from other investigations as it focuses on evaluating the user experience rather than a traditional comparison of the statistical output of the reference models

Telecommunications services provider must be encouraged, allowing universal access to broadband networks. According to telecommunication analysts, a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth results when broadband penetration increases. With this background, there should not be considerations in delays regarding the technology expansion for improving data and mobile communications or for the deployment of coming technologies. This paper presents an analysis of regulatory aspects of mobile networks in the Republic of Ecuador for visualizing the current situation regarding Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the advent of 5G, especially in aspects such as infrastructure, penetration and economic development. The purpose is that the reader has an understanding of how government policies in accordance with international recommendations and the participation of those involved in the telecommunications sector encourage technological advances in an emerging country

    The method of electromotive force (emf) for calculation of antenna impedance is applicable to a very limited number of antenna configurations such as monopole and dipole antenna. In more general antenna structures, especially when complicated geometry such as fractals is involved numerical techniques are essential. There are Electromagnetic (EM) simulation softwares such as G-NEC, XFDTD for the modelling studies in which is essential an understanding of the fundamental theory behind these numerical techniques in creating the antenna models. In this paper, we compare the radiation from dipole antenna and the antenna with shape of the first iteration of Cantor set.     The Poly(Sodium Styrenesulfonate) / nano Pt / graphene (PSS/Pt/GR) composite modified electrode material was prepared and characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM), infrared spectroscopy and alternating current impedance. The electrochemical behavior of tyrosine was determined on PSS/Pt/GR/GCE composite modified electrode. The results show that the PSS/Pt/GR composite modified electrode material is synthesized well. This electrode can be used to determine tyrosine with high sensitivity and accuracy, which could have promising applicability for the determination of other substances

    Antioxidant and Antipyretic Activities of Adansonia Digitata (African Baobab) Fruit, Leaf And Bark Extracts

    The   study   was   conducted   to   evaluate the   antioxidant   and antipyretic activity of Adansonia digitata (African Baobab) fruit, leaf and bark extracts.  Antioxidant activity of plant part extracts were determined by free radical   Diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay   while   the   antipyretic activity was assessed using experimental animals. Antioxidant activity of leaf extract showed a value of 13.40±0.77, bark extract 29.23±1.69 while fruit extract gave a value of 39.21±2.26. For the Antipyretic activity results, the average temperature of Albino Wister rats was   21.65±0.96 oC   before   fever   inducement   and 30.64±1.37 oC   after inducement. Following the administration of the leaf extract (400 mg/kg and 800 mg/kg), bark   extract (400 mg/kg   and   800 mg/kg) and   fruit   extract (400 mg/kg and 800 mg/kg), the body temperature of the albino rats fell to25.96±1.16 oC vs.   25.28±1.13 oC, 26.06±1.17 oC vs. 25.02±1.12 oC, and 25.78±1.15 oC vs. 24.30±1.09 oC respectively. The   results   showed   that   the   fruit   extract   has   a   higher antioxidant and antipyretic activity than bark and leaf extracts

    Rheum emodi (Polygonate) commonly known as ‘‘Pambchallan’’(in Kashmir) is a medicinally important plant showing a wide range of biological activities. Phytochemical investigation of the roots of this plant yielded six compounds i.e. Chrysophanol, emodin, noreugenin, Physcion, aloe-emodin glycoside, and Chrysin. All the isolated compounds were envisaged for bio evaluation (antioxidant and antimicrobial activity). Among all tested isolates, compounds 1, 3 and 4 were found to be better antioxidants and with respect to antimicrobial screening, varied activity was demonstrated by all the six compounds against bacterial and fungal pathogens. Compounds 1, 4 and 5 were found to be active against both fungal strains. Compounds 2 and 3 were active against single bacterial strain E.coli while as compound 6 was found to be potent against bacterial pathogen E.coli and fungal pathogen A. fumigatus

    Antimicrobial Evaluation of Dichloro Chromene Isoxazoles and Isoxazoline Derivatives

    In the present study, the synthesized benzopyran isoxazolines and isoxazoles were evaluated for antibacterial activity by Agar well diffusion method against multi drug resistance (MDR) clinical isolates of five bacterial strains.i.e., Staphylococcus sp. (2413), Enterococcus sp. (2449), and Escherichia sp. (2461), Acinetobacter sp. (2457) and Serratia sp (2442). MIC (Minimum inhibitory concentration) and MBC (Minimum bactericidal concentration) of the potent derivatives were calculated and tabulated. A partial structure activity relationship (SAR) was done on the basis of microbial inhibition data. Compounds 3, 6, 8, 9, 11, 14 and 20 were the most promising antibacterial molecule. Compound 3, the precursor of isoxazole / isoxazoline found to be most active antibacterial candidate as well as bactericidal too
