AN ANALYSIS OF THE SECURITY FEATURES ON UNIVERSITY CERTIFICATES IN GHANA: A CASE OF SOME SELECTED PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES
This study examines the security features integrated into academic certificates issued by five public universities in Ghana: The University of Ghana (UG), Legon, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, and University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa. The research aims to identify the existing security features, evaluate the control processes used to maintain certificate authenticity and compare these features against international standards to determine their effectiveness in preventing forgery. Through a comprehensive analysis, this paper provides insights into how these institutions safeguard the integrity of their academic qualifications. The study reveals that Ghanaian universities employ a variety of traditional and modern security features in the production of academic certificates and the application of control processes to protect the integrity of their academic certificates. The inclusion of the holder's date of birth and photograph on certificates from UMaT, though less common among the rest of the specimens, offers additional security benefits. While these measures are largely effective, the adoption of advanced technologies such as blockchain could further enhance security. Aligning with international standards not only prevents forgery but also facilitates global recognition of Ghanaian academic qualifications. Article visualizations
TEACHERS’ AVAILABILITY, SUPPLY AND DISTRIBUTION IN PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN BAYELSA STATE, NIGERIA
The study is predicated on the assumption that teaching manpower is critical to education service delivery which is a vehicle for effecting sustainable growth and development of any society. The study therefore analyzed teachers’ availability, supply, and distribution in public primary schools in Bayelsa State. The study was descriptive adopting ex- post facto research design. The population of the study comprised all 3,571 teachers distributed across the 547 public primary schools in Bayelsa State as of the 2022/2023 academic session. It was a census study; therefore, a sample was not made. A checklist titled: Teachers Availability Distribution and Supply Checklist (TADSC) was used to collect data for the study. The data collected were analyzed using percentages and histogram charts. Findings from the study revealed that the enrolment of pupils in public primary schools was generally low and varied by local government area. It was also found that teachers were not adequately supplied while the available ones were not equitably distributed across the eight local government areas. Lastly, the results of the findings showed that the existing public primary schools in the State require adequately qualified classroom teachers for effective pedagogical-related assignments. Arising from the findings, it was recommended that the State government should provide existing public primary schools with basic teaching and learning facilities including qualified and adequate teaching manpower; rural communities should be provided with basic amenities while rural allowance/incentives for teachers should be increased to promote high teacher retention in local and rural areas; teachers should be redistributed across schools and local government areas for equity, fairness, and effective utilization by relevant authorities like the State Universal Education Board {SUBEB} and the State Ministry of Education. EFFECT OF ACADEMIC SPECIALIZATION IN ICT ON THE ACQUISITION OF LANGUAGE SKILLS IN THE GERMAN LANGUAGE: THE CASE OF EDUCATIONAL SERIOUS GAME / AUSWIRKUNGEN DER AKADEMISCHEN SPEZIALISIERUNG AUF IKT DER ERWERB VON SPRACHKENNTNISSEN IN DER DEUTSCHEN SPRACHE: DER FALL PÄDAGOGISCHES SERIOUS GAME
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of academic speciality in ICT on the acquisition of language skills in the German language in the case of Serious Game education in a non-formal education setting. A total of 23 students from different state universities of the University of Sfax, aged between 21 and 24, participated in an Educational Serious Game session through a game called "Deutsche Straße". The students were divided into groups of 4 players for each game session, which lasted between 30 minutes and an hour. A 107-item German word learning assessment questionnaire in the form of a multiple-choice question called "DeutsheStraße Quiz". This questionnaire was administered before the intervention (diagnostic assessment) and immediately after each session (summative assessment). In addition, a satisfaction questionnaire was used to measure the feeling of competence (Dumont et al., 2000). The results showed an average relative learning gain in favour of non-ICT students compared to ICT specialists. These results suggest that the digitization of Educational Serious Game can be an effective way of reading comprehension of German for all students of any speciality in a non-formal education setting at the university. In other words, the creation of an Android application so that the game is accessible in smartphones and subsequently ensures more influence. Article visualizations

ADVANCING KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY THROUGH EDUCATION AND RESEARCH SKILLS
The knowledge economy is a system of consumption and production that is based on intellectual capital. Specifically, this refers to the ability to capitalize on scientific discoveries and applied research including research studies at the university. To develop a successful post-graduate program in research needs a robust and sustainable research environment. A guideline named "Best Practices for PhD Training" was produced by the Organization for PhD Education in Health Sciences in the European System, a European platform to promote best practices in PhD education in health sciences. The extensive advice and suggestions made in the guidelines apply to all aspects of PhD and research programs, of which supervision is a crucial part. The success of a thesis depends on a productive supervisor-student relationship built on respect, accountability, and engagement. Active researchers who obtain training to hone their overseeing abilities should serve as supervisors. They act as both scientific and moral role models in academic life. The employment of a second supervisor in addition to the primary one is strongly advised to boost monitoring student development more effectively and to prevent interpersonal disputes. The obligations of the supervisor should be outlined in institutional regulations. The task could be more clearly defined and may serve as a beginning point in a contract created by the institution and signed by the supervisor and the student. Grievance methods must be plain and obvious in the event of a conflict. Students' professional development should be supported by their supervisors, who should also help them become autonomous researchers. Quite a number of surveys revealed considerable dissatisfaction among students with their supervisors. There is a great deal of strain due to performance pressure on both students and supervisors. Students worry about their future employment opportunities. These stress spots should be taken into account by institutional regulations to improve the welfare of both professors and students. Small-group instruction and learning have become increasingly popular in medical school as a tool to assist research students with their studies and promote deep learning. Postgraduate learners can exercise their higher-order thinking and cognitive abilities by researching the problems with undergraduate medical student supervision. Thus, encourages self-motivation while as a postgraduate researcher and fosters adult learning, accepting responsibility for one's own development, and adult learning. Article visualizations
