Get PDFIl romanzo postumo di Cervantes è palesemente tutto costruito intorno al codice pittorico come tema e come problema rispetto alle risorse della scrittura. Nell’articolo si cerca in particolare di leggere le sequenze dell’isola sognata e del museo di Ippolita Ferrarese come un doppio movimento bilanciato in cui scrittura, pittura e profezia sono coese e fanno intravedere l’artista-scrittore al lavoro nella sua bottega, motivo costante nella poetica cervantina. In particolare, per II, 15 si prova a ipotizzare una fonte iconografica precisa. The Cervantes’s posthumous novel of is clearly built around the pictorial code as a theme and as an issue regarding the resources of the writing. In this article, I have tried in particular to read the sequences of the dreamed island and the gallery of Hipólita Ferraresa as a balanced double movement in which writing, painting and prophecy are cohesive, and permit a glimpse into the workshop of the artist-writer, a constant motif in the poetry of Cervantes. Get PDFEl trabajo presenta la edición de los poemas que aparecen insertos en el Floramante de Colonia, Segunda Parte de Clarián de Landanís, libro de caballerías de Jerónimo López. El análisis de las características métricas y estilísticas identificadas en la obra se pone en relación con la poesía de cancionero. El estudio detallado de las circunstancias y función de las inserciones poéticas resalta la importancia de la perspectiva psicofisiológica en el tratamiento de la enfermedad de amor, rasgo que coincidiría con la práctica habitual en géneros afines, y muy especialmente con la ficción sentimental. The work presents the edition of the poems inserted in the Floramante de Colonia, Segunda Parte de Clarián de Landanís, a book of chivalry by Jerónimo López. The analysis of the metrical and stylistic characteristics identified in the work is related to the poetry of the cancioneros. The detailed study of the circumstances and function of poetic insertions highlights the importance of the psychophysiological perspective in the treatment of «love sickness», a feature that would coincide with the usual practice in related genres, and especially with sentimental fiction

El ingenioso hidalgo, Cervantes and “el Ariosto” (Quixote, II, 62)
Get PDFEl artículo plantea un diálogo con los editores del Quijote y la crítica cervantista en general (desde Clemencín hasta hoy en día) sobre varios aspectos relativos al episodio de la visita de don Quijote al taller de imprenta barcelonés (DQ, II, 62). En especial se reflexiona sobre las posibles relaciones que se establecen entre la obra cervantina y la de Ariosto y de otros escritores de su tiempo.This article raises a dialogue with the editors of Don Quixote and the Cervantist critics in general (from Clemencín to the present) on several aspects related to the episode of Don Quixote’s visit to the Barcelona printing press (DQ, II, 62). In particular, it reflects on the possible relations established between the Cervantine work and that of Ariosto and other writers of his time.
Center and periphery in the Spanish Byzantine novel. Exploring literary places with spatial networks
Get PDFUna característica espacial que predomina en los modelos del género helenizante (Las etiópicas, Persiles) es la presencia de un centro y una periferia geográficas. En el marco del creciente interés en el uso de sistemas digitales de información de geográfica (SIG) para analizar el espacio literario, este artículo aborda los métodos digitales para computar automáticamente la periferia y el centro geográficos de los lugares mencionados en un texto, en este caso, novelas barrocas del género helenizante. Usando el lenguaje de programación R, el método consiste en convertir lugares geolocalizados en redes espaciales, a las que aplicamos métricas de redes (eigencentrality) y visualizamos con mapas. Basado en la proximidad geográfica de las menciones de lugares geolocalizables el método permite visualizar y medir automáticamente su distribución central y periférica. Los resultados apuntan a España como centro geográfico de las novelas.A spatial characteristic that stands out in the models of the Spanish Byzantine genre (Ethiopica, Persiles) is the presence of a geographic center and periphery. Following the continuously growing interest in the use of digital Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze the literary space, this article discusses digital methods to automatically compute the geographical center and periphery of the places mentioned in a text, in particular, Baroque novels of the Spanish Byzantine genre. Using the R programming language, the method consists of converting geolocated places into spatial networks, applying to them network metrics (eigencentrality) and visualizing the metrics on maps. Based on the geographical proximity of geolocated places, the approach allows to automatically visualize and measure its central and peripheral distribution. The results suggest Spain as a geographical core in the novels
