Kualitas Ikan Tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) Segar di Pelabuhan Perikanan Banjarmasin
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas kimiawi pada sampel ikan tongkol yang baru didaratkan dan disimpan satu bulan di cold storage serta kualitas mikrobilogi yang terkandung didalamnya. Pengambilan ikan tongkol dilakukan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Banjarmasin yang di berikan perlakuan berupa penambahan es seketika saat ikan ditangkap untuk menjaga kesegaran ikan. Ikan yang telah diambil kemudian disimpan didalam Cold storage selama 1 bulan sebagai sampel. Parameter uji pada penelitian ini meliputi uji kimiawi (nilai pH, kadar air, histamin dan TVB) serta uji mikrobiologi (TPC). Hasil dari penelitian menujukan pH 5,42 untuk sampel yang baru didaratkan dan nilai pH 5,37 untuk sampel ikan tongkol yang disimpan di cold strorage selama satu bulan sesuai dengan SNI ikan segar. Nilai rerata kadar air dan kadar TVB sampel ikan tongkol baru didaratkan dan yang disimpan di cold strorage selama satu bulan keduanya sesuai dengan SNI ikan segar masing masing yaitu kadar air 73,98% dan 73,86%u; nilai TVB 18 mg N/100g dan 15,33 mg N/100g; 15,33 mg N/100g. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan nilai rerata kadar histamin sampel ikan tongkol baru didaratkan dan yang disimpan di cold strorage selama satu bulan masih dibawah dari standar cemaran histamin dengan nilai 0,16 ppm dan 0,23 ppm yang artinya termasuk ikan segar karena hasil kandungan histamin yang didapatkan tidak melebihi standar SNI ikan segar yaitu 30 ppm. Rerata kadar TPC sampel ikan tongkol baru didaratkan dan yang disimpan di cold strorage selama satu bulan masih sesuai batas nilai SNI ikan segar yakni 9,5 x 102 cfu/g dan 36 x 102 cfu/g
ANALISA TORSI MENGGUNAKAN PERBANDINGAN MASUKAN DAYA LISTRIK PADA AERATOR PADDLE WHEEL DENGAN TRANSMISI MENGGUNAKAN RANTAI SPROKET, GEARBOX PABRIKAN DAN GEARBOX RODA GIGI LURUS
The paddle wheel type aerator is a popular aerator used in aquaculture to increase dissolved oxygen (DO) levels. The paddle wheel aerator uses a transmission to adjust the rotation of the electric motor so that the paddle wheel can rotate at a certain speed. Several types of transmission have been used, namely using sprocket chains, factory gearboxes and straight gear gearboxes. In this research, torque analysis was carried out using a comparison of electrical power input to calculate the mechanical losses of the types of transmission used, so that one can find the type of transmission that has the lowest losses in the paddle wheel aerator application. The test results show that the sprocket chain transmission has a mechanical loss of 0.28 Nm, while the factory gearbox is 0.21 Nm and the lowest is the straight gear gearbox which has a mechanical loss of only 0.01 Nm so the development of a paddle wheel aerator transmission using a straight gear transmission is a brilliant idea to develop.Aerator jenis paddle wheel merupakan aerator yang popular digunakan pada budidaya perikanan untuk meningkatkan kadar oksigen terlarut (DO). Aerator paddle wheel memanfaatkan transmisi untuk menyesuaikan putaran motor listrik sehingga roda kincir dapat berputar dengan kecepatan tertentu. Beberapa jenis transmisi telah digunakan, yakni menggunakan rantai sprocket, gearbox pabrikan dan gearbox roda gigi lurus. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan analisa torsi menggunakan perbandingan masukan daya listrik untuk menghitung rugi-rugi mekanis dari jenis-jenis transmisi yang digunakan, sehingga dapat menemukan jenis transmisi yang memiliki rugi-rugi paling rendah dalam aplikasi aerator paddle wheel. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan transmisi rantai sprocket memiliki rugi-rugi mekanis sebesar 0,28 Nm, sementara gearbox pabrikan sebesar 0,21 Nm dan yang terendah yakni gearbox roda gigi lurus yang memiliki rugi-rugi mekanis hanya 0,01 Nm sehingga pengembangan transmisi aerator paddle wheel menggunakan transmisi roda gigi lurus merupakan ide yang patut untuk dikembangkan
KARAKTERISTIK PERIKANAN JARING ARAD DAN SEBARAN PANJANG UDANG DOGOL (Metapenaeus ensis) DI PERAIRAN MEULABOH
Umumnya, para nelayan di wilayah Meulaboh dan juga sepanjang pantai di Aceh Barat memanfaatkan jaring arad atau mini trawl sebagai alat untuk dapat menangkap hasil laut seperti udang dan ikan demersal. Selama periode antara bulan Maret hingga Desember 2019, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk dapat memahami aspek perikanan yang terkait dengan penggunaan jaring arad di wilayah perairan Meulaboh, serta untuk meneliti udang dogol (Metapenaeus ensis) yang merupakan tangkapan hasil laut mayoritas pada saat menggunakan jaring arad. Penggunaan jaring arad saat beroperasi dilakukan pada kedalaman perairan antara 5 hingga 35 meter. Penangkapan dilaksanakan sebanyak 6-10 kali dalam satu perjalanan, dengan durasi trip kurang lebih yaitu selama 1-2 hari. Hasil operasi penangkapan yang dilakukan mencakup 26 jenis, termasuk 8 jenis udang, 4 jenis krustasea, 2 jenis cumi-cumi, dan 12 jenis ikan. Komposisi jenis didominasi udang cakrek (Harpisquilla harpax) 11,5%, petek (Equulites leuciscus) sebesar 9,7%, buntal (Thorguigner tubercullife) 8,2%, kepiting kecil (Charybdis affinis) 6,9%, udang dogol (Metapenaeus ensis) 6,8% ikan lidah (Cynoglossus sp) 6,1%, udang kelong (Fenneropenaeus indicus)6,0%, baronang (Siganus sp.) 5,1% bilis (Herklotsichthys dispilonotus) 4,8%, tetengkek (Megalopsis cordilla) 4,0% dan lainnya dibawah 4%. Nilai kelimpahan udang paling banyak pada Agustus sebesar 36,66 kg/trip dan paling sedikit terdapat pada bulan April sebanyak 29,13 kg/trip. Sedangkan kelimpahan udang jenis dogol paling banyak terdpat pada bulan Juni yaitu sebesar 4,38 kg/trip dan terendah pada Desember. 1,88 kg/trip. Lokasi penangkapan jaring arad terdapat di perairan Meulaboh, dengan dugaan bahwa puncak musim penangkapan terjadi pada bulan Maret hingga Oktober. Panjang udang jingga yang berhasil ditangkap menggunakan jaring arad bervariasi antara 14,0 hingga 31,9 mmCL, dengan panjang pertama kali tertangkap (Lc) mencapai 21,81 mm, dan panjang pertama kali matang gonad (Lm) sebesar 23,04 mm
CATCH PERFORMANCE OF PURSE SEINE CASE STUDY ON KMN DIVA BAHARI AT KENDARI FISHING PORT
Purse seines are a type of fishing gear that operates by surrounding schools of fish. The target fish caught from purse seines themselves are small pelagic fish that are in schools. One of the areas where the majority of fishermen use purse seines is PPS Kendari, where the target fish caught are scallops, skipjack tuna and tuna. The price of self-caught fish is influenced by the type, size and quality of the fish itself. One of the reasons for the feasibility of a fishing business can be assessed from the opinions obtained from the business carried out. Having data related to the performance of catches from a fishing business will provide an initial picture regarding the feasibility of the fishing business. Data collection was carried out by participating in KMN Diva Bahari fishing activities made 8 fishing trips (1 trip 5-8 days). Then fish samples are taken for each fishing operation and the type, number and size are seen/measured. The data that has been collected is then presented in tables and figures and then compared with literature studies regarding the size of fish worth catching. Based on data obtained in the field, it was found that the fish caught were gliding (the majority), tuna, mackerel, sunglir, baby yellowfin tuna and skipjack. Where all the tuna, skipjack, sunglir, tuna fish that were caught were not yet worth catching. Meanwhile, for mackerel, blue kites are included in the fish size category worth catching. Several things that influence the size of fish caught that are not suitable are catching in FAD areas where one of the functions of FADs is a place for spawning and rearing, fishing seasons and fish areas
SUSTAINABLE FISHERIES MANAGEMENT BASED ON SYARIAH BIOECONOMICS MODEL
This article aims to provide a new perspective and paradigm in sustainable fisheries management by introducing and integrating sharia principles and approaches into the fisheries bioeconomic model. The initial model is carried out by introducing ZIS parameters into the Gordon-Schaefer fisheries bioeconomic model. The amount of ZIS can provide encouragement to build and develop a sustainable sharia fisheries bioeconomic management model. Factors that influence the success of fishing gear (q) to be able to catch fish, the ability of the environmental carrying capacity (K) to be able to maintain fish reproduction and growth, and the ability of the fish themselves to grow and develop in achieving a certain biomass (r) are something that is essentially desired as a gift from the Almighty on the basis of the efforts of His servants to fulfil the ZIS command. In addition, the income of His servants (fishermen) which is influenced by the price (p) of fish and the efficiency of the cost per unit of catch (c) that must be spent to obtain fish is an inseparable part of the existence of income which is also a gift from Allah. The five parameters of the sharia bioeconomic of fisheries (r, q, K, p, c) which are influenced by the presence of the ZIS factor are the fortune and way of Allah SWT to bestow blessings, gifts, and welfare to His servants (fishermen) who have fulfilled ZIS. This sustainable sharia bioeconomic management model of fisheries is based on the paradigm and perspective of the community (fishermen) in carrying out fishing through the fulfilment of ZIS maximally and sustainably which is carried out by always hoping for the pleasure and blessings of Allah SWT, it is hoped that it can change the lives, lives and livelihoods of the fishing community
A STUDY ON THE GROWTH AND PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSE OF JUVENILE TINFOIL BARB Barbonymus schwanenfeldii (Bleeker, 1854) UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF pH CHANGES
Tinfoil barb Barbonymus schwanenfeldii is recognized as one of the potential aquaculture commodities in Indonesia. Nonetheless, lack of data on their environmental tolerance causing this issue to become essential to be investigated. The present study was carried out to assess the pH influence on growth and physiological response of juvenile tinfoil barb. Juvenile tinfoil barbs (TL: 5.5 ± 0.8 cm; BW: 2.4 ± 1.0 g) were treated with four pH level treatments (5, 6, 7, and 8) and three replications with the stocking density of 10 fish each aquarium. Fish were kept for 21 days and fed with commercial fish feed. In this study, pH 8 exposure resulted to lower growth of juvenile tinfoil barb compared to pH treatment 5 to 7 (p<0.05). In terms of survival rate, the results show significantly lower value at pH 8 treatment compared to those of pH 6 and 7 treatment (p<0.05), while it is not significantly different with pH 5 treatment (p>0.05). Additionally, this study found the highest value of glucose, cortisol, and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) on pH 8 treatment (p<0.05). On the other hand, pH 8 exposure led to the lowest creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and ALP level (p<0.05). In conclusion, the optimal pH for juvenile tinfoil barb rearing ranged around 6-7
APLIKASI IMUNOGLOBULIN Y-ANTI WSSV UNTUK IMUNISASI PASIF PENYAKIT WSSV PADA UDANG VANAME (Litopenaeus vannamei)
Infeksi penyakit WSSV pada udang dapat menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi yang besar hingga mencapai US 1 billion per year. WSSV disease can be controlled through a passive immunization approach using anti-WSSV IgY. The study aimed to determine the benefits of specific anti-WSSV immunoglobulin Y (IgY) in preventing and treating WSSV disease in shrimp. The methods used consist of two methods, the prevention test method (T) and the treatment test method (P) for WSSV disease. Anti-WSSV IgY from chicken egg yolk was mixed into commercial pelleted feed at a dose of 20%. In the prevention test, the shrimp sized 5-6 g were adapted to anti-WSSV IgY feed for 7 days and then challenged with feed in the form of crushed WSSV positive vannamei shrimp for 2 days, and survival was observed for 7 days. Meanwhile, for the treatment test, the shrimp were challenged with feed in the form of crushed WSSV positive vannamei shrimp for 2 days and then given shrimp feed containing anti-WSSV IgY for 7 days observation. Using anti-WSSV IgY in feed provided significant results on the survival value of vannamei shrimp both in prevention and treatment tests for WSSV disease and this passive immunization method has good prospects in controlling WSSV disease in shrimp culture
PENGARUH KONSENTRASI PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR LIMBAH SAYURAN DALAM MEDIA KULTUR TERHADAP KEPADATAN SEL Chlorella sp.
Limbah sayuran, meskipun potensial mencemari lingkungan, dapat diubah menjadi sumber nutrisi yang bernilai dengan mengolahnya menjadi pupuk organik cair (POC) yang dapat mendukung pertumbuhan mikroalga Chlorella sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran terhadap kepadatan sel Chlorella sp. Melalui rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima variasi konsentrasi (4 mL L-1, 5 mL L-1, 6 mL L-1, 7 mL L-1 dan 8 mL L-1) dan tiga ulangan, kami mengevaluasi efeknya selama 20 hari terhadap parameter seperti kepadatan sel, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, biomassa, serta penyerapan nutrien dan kualitas air. Hasilnya mengungkapkan bahwa konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran secara signifikan memengaruhi kepadatan sel Chlorella sp., dengan perlakuan terbaik tercapai pada konsentrasi 5 mL L-1. Pada hari ke-14, kepadatan sel mencapai 893,33 ± 5,78 ×104 sel mL-1, dengan biomassa sebesar 0,38 ± 0,00 g L-1 dan laju pertumbuhan spesifik sebesar 0,09 hari-1. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa konsentrasi POC limbah sayuran 5 mL L-1 optimal untuk kultur Chlorella sp., memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan solusi berkelanjutan untuk pengelolaan limbah dan produksi biomassa mikroalga.Vegetable waste, despite its potential environmental pollution, can be transformed into a valuable nutrient source by processing it into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) that can support the growth of the microalga Chlorella sp. This study aims to analyze the effect of vegetable waste LOF concentration on the cell density of Chlorella sp. Through a completely randomized design with five concentration variations (4 mL L-1, 5 mL L-1, 6 mL L-1, 7 mL L-1, and 8 mL L-1) and three replicates, we evaluated its effects over a period of 20 days on parameters such as cell density, specific growth rate, biomass, nutrient uptake, and water quality. The results revealed that the concentration of vegetable waste LOF significantly influenced the cell density of Chlorella sp., with the best treatment achieved at a concentration of 5 mL L-1. On day 14, the cell density reached 893.33 ± 5.78 ×104 cells mL-1, with a biomass of 0.38 ± 0.00 g L-1, and a specific growth rate of 0.09 day-1. The conclusion of this research confirms that a concentration of 5 mL L-1 of vegetable waste LOF is optimal for Chlorella sp. culture, providing a significant contribution to the development of sustainable solutions for waste management and microalgae biomass production
PRODUKTIVITAS DAN POLA MUSIM PENANGKAPAN CAKALANG DI WILAYAH PENGELOLAAN PERIKANAN 572
Cakalang (Katsuwonus pelamis) merupakan ikan ekonomis penting di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan (WPP) 572. Informasi mengenai produktivitas ikan cakalang penting sebagai dasar untuk meningkatkan efektivitas operasi penangkapan serta memperoleh keuntungan yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung produktivitas tangkapan atau catch per unit effort (CPUE) perikanan cakalang berdasarkan unit penangkapan ikan yang ada di Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan 572 yaitu handline, rawai tuna, purse seine, dan mini purse seine; menghitung produktivitas penangkapan secara temporal; dan menghitung indeks musim penangkapan (IMP) perikanan cakalang di WPP 572. Jenis data yang digunakan yaitu data sekunder dengan menggunakan metode analisis CPUE. Hasil penelitian produktivitas hasil tangkapan ikan cakalang unit penangkapan handline, rawai tuna, purse seine, dan mini purse seine tiap bulannya yaitu 6,89 ton/trip, 5,81 ton/trip, 5,91 ton/trip, 4,85 ton/trip, 6,93 ton/trip, 6,52 ton/trip, 7,29 ton/trip, 6,41 ton/trip, 5,29 ton/trip, 6,50 ton/trip, 5,92 ton/trip, dan 5,59 ton/trip. Produktivitas secara temporal 811,0563 ton pada musim barat; 665,75 ton pada musim peralihan bulan April-Mei; 885,3938 ton pada musim timur; dan 960,75 ton pada musim peralihan bulan Oktober-November. Nilai Indeks Musim Penangkapan (IMP) ikan cakalang di WPP 572 Musim penangkapan puncak terjadi pada bulan Mei, Juni, Juli, Oktober, Desember.
