Title: Compliance of Local Government on Blue Economy Development Framework at Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Majene Regency has extraordinary potential for developing a blue economy; however, this potential has not been fully maximized as a source of community economic growth or regional income. This is evident from the relatively small contribution of the fisheries and tourism sectors compared to other sectors. The National Development Planning Agency has issued a blueprint for developing a marine-based economy, known as the Blue Economy Development Framework (BEDF), as a guide for local governments seeking to establish a marine-based economy. The objectives of this study are: first, to determine the adoption of policies issued by the Majene Regency government towards developing a blue economy based on the Blue Economy Development Framework; second, to determine the implementation and development of the blue economy concept in Majene Regency; and finally, to determine the obstacles to developing the blue economy concept in Majene. This study employed the in-depth interview method as the primary data source and literature studies as complementary data, with the results analyzed using content analysis. Majene Regency has not adopted BEDF in developing a marine-based economy. It is recommended that the Majene Regency Government adjust its blue economy development policy based on the BEDF by considering priority scales, such as the development of economic infrastructure that absorbs a large workforce, and providing incentives for blue economy business actors with a significant export market share

One way to help the feeding process vannamei shrimp in ponds that have cloudy surface using constructed with a size of 50 × 50 × 18 cm with a water height in the pond of 7 cm from bottom, where the data in the form of images was obtained from data collection 25 times using a camera is placed at a height of 52 cm above the water surface. The pond’s entire surface was captured with one click of the camera. The number of vannamei shrimp used in this study was 7. The method used for data processing is thresholding, in which the threshold value is generated using a histogram-based technique from the image data. This method is employed to distinguish shrimp from non-shrimp regions in the image. From this study, a vannamei shrimp detection technique was developed, producing results in the form of a script that distinguishes vannamei shrimp objects from non-vannamei shrimp. The detection accuracy achieved using the thresholding method in this study is 94.28%. The positions of the shrimp were produced in the form of coordinates as a step to success according to the objectives of this study, which were able to detect positions, in order to help facilitate the process of feeding in ponds. This detection technique could be developed for application on full-scale ponds, utilizing cameras mounted on drones as a tool for detecting vannamei shrimp positions in cloudy pond water. This technology may be adapted to allow targeted feeding of shrimp in ponds, thus maximizing food consumption and minimizing food wastage

MORPHOMETRY OF THE GILL AND ARBORESCENT STRUCTURES OF Clarias gariepinus (BURCHELL, 1822) AT DIFFERENT DEVELOPMENTAL STAGES

Catfish is one of Indonesia's superior fishery commodities. Catfish have an adaptation mechanism to an environment with minimal oxygen in their gill structure, namely arborescent to support their successful lives. This study examines Mutiara catfish's gill and arborescent morphometry at various developmental stages. The morphometric parameters consist of several parts, namely gill structure and arborescent structure. The gill structure includes the ratio of gill weight right and left to the weight and total length of the fish. Apart from that, the gills are divided into three main parts, namely the branchial arch, branchial filaments, and branchiospinalis. The part of the branchial arch observed includes the ratio of the length of the branchial arch to the total length of the fish. The branchial filament section includes the average number of branchial filaments per branchial arch, the average density of branchial filaments (filaments/cm), and the ratio of branchial filament length to branchial arch length. The branchiospinal section includes the average number of branchiospinalis per branchial arch and branchiospinal density. Arborescent structures include ratios of relative arborescent weight (%) right and left to total fish weight and the ratio of the number of arborescent branches to total arborescent weight. Catfish were sampled from the larval stage (1–14 days), juvenile (15–21 days), and post-juvenile to pre-adult (22–90 days). Statistical analysis of data using SPPS 22 software. Mutiara catfish in the post-adolescent to preadult stage have higher relative gill weight and relative arborescent weight than the juvenile and larval stages. The post-adolescent to preadult stage has a more developed gill and arborescent shape and size than the juvenile and larval stages

This study provides an overview of the impact of COVID-19 on fisheries cultivation activities using in-depth analysis from the International Futures Forum (IFF). The waters in the western region of Indonesia were chosen as the research location because many small fishermen still rely on fish as a source of daily livelihood. So that the policy of handling the COVID-19 pandemic has a significant impact on economic activities in the fisheries sector. This different picture in each research location provides information both in general and from previous versions of the model, for example in business planning, to adapt and deepen the analysis so that it becomes useful as a framework for thinking about long-term social change. Ongoing efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic include developing digital marketing strategies for companies to increase sales of aquaculture products, building cold storage facilities or storage space to accommodate excess supply so that prices do not fall too sharply, and digital marketing training for employees to strengthen marketing and face increasingly competitive business competition
