Forced Vibrations of an Elastic Rectangular Plate Supported By a Unilateral Two Parameter Foundation Via The Chebyshev Polynomials Expansion
The present study deals with static and dynamic behaviors including forced vibrations of an elastic rectangular nano plate on the two-parameter foundation. Firstly, the rectangular plate is assumed to be subjected to uniformly distributed and eccentrically applied concentrated loads. The governing equations of the problem are derived by considering the dynamic response of the plate, employing a series of the Chebyshev polynomials for the displacement function and applying the Galerkin
method. Then, effects of the non-essential boundary conditions of the plate, i.e., the boundary conditions related to the shearing forces, the bending moments and the corner forces, are included in the governing equation of motion to compensate for the nonsatisfied boundary conditions and increase the accuracy of the Galerkin method. The approximate numerical solution is accomplished using an iterative process due to the non-linearity of the unilateral property of the two-parameter foundation. The plate under static concentrated load is investigated in detail numerically by considering a wide range of parameters of the plate and the foundation stiffnesses. Numerical treatment of the problem in the time domain is carried out by assuming a stepwise variation of the concentrated load and the linear acceleration procedure is employed in the solution of the system of governing
differential equations derived from the equation of motion. Time variations of the contact region and those of the displacements of the plate are presented in the figures for various numbers of the two-parameter of the foundation, as well as the classical and nano parameters of the plate particularly focusing on the non-linearity of the problem due to the plate lift-off from the unilateral foundation. The effects of classical and nonlocal parameters and loading are investigated in detail. Definition of the separation between the plate and the two-parameter foundation is presented and applied to the given problem. The effect of the lift-off on
the static and dynamic behavior of the rectangular plate is studied in detail by considering various loading conditions. The numerical study shows that the effect of nonlocal parameters on the behavior of the plate becomes significant, when nonlinearity
becomes more profound, due to the lift-off of the plate. It is seen that the size effects are significant in static and dynamic analysis of nano-scaled rectangular plates and need to be included in the mechanical analyses. Furthermore, the corner displacement of the plate is affected more significantly from the lift-off, whereas it is less marked in the time variation of the middle displacement of the plate. Several numerical examples are presented to examine the sensibility of various parameters associated with nonlocal parameters of the plate and foundation. Both stiffening and softening nonlocal parameters behavior of
the plate are identified in the numerical solutions which show that increasing the foundation stiffness decreases the extent of the contact region, whereas the stiffness of the shear layer increases the contact region and reduces the foundation settlement considerably
Virtual Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) Staining of Medical Images using Generative Adversarial Networks
Tıbbi görüntülerin sanal boyanması işlemi dijital patolojide önemli bir yaklaşım olarak görülmektir. Geleneksel doku boyama zaman alan, uzmanlık gerektiren, boyamanın uzmandan uzmana değişkenlik gösterdiği yoğun bir süreçtir. Derin öğrenme yaklaşımı kullanılarak sanal boyama ile görüntü kalitesinin iyileştirilmesi ve manuel boyamadan kaynaklı maliyetlerin azaltılması sağlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, boyamasız tüm slayt görüntülerin (WSI-Whole Slide Images) Hematoksilen ve Eozin (H&E) boyalı görüntü çiftlerini sanal olarak boyamak için koşullu çekişmeli üretici ağ (cGAN- The Conditional Generative Adversarial Network) tabanlı bir derin sinir ağının uygulanmasını araştırmaktadır. Açık kaynak olarak sunulan bir veri setini kullanarak, sonuçlarımızı daha büyük bir veri seti kullanan bir referans çalışmayla karşılaştırıyoruz. Sadece yedi adet WSI kullanan yaklaşımımız, 68 WSI kullanan referans çalışmayla karşılaştırıldığında Yapısal Benzerlik İndeksi (SSIM), Tepe Sinyal-Gürültü Oranı (PSNR) ve Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı (PCC) açısından rekabetçi bir performans göstermektedir. Ayrıca çalışmamızda çekişmeli üretici ağın eğitim sürecinde önerdiğimiz hibrit kayıp fonksiyonu ile sentetik görüntüler ve gerçek görüntülerin değerlendirilmesi sağlanmıştır. Çalışmamızda elde edilen sonuçlar SSIM, PSNR ve PCC değerlerinin ortalaması sırasıyla 0,668, 21,487 ve 0,872 iken, referans çalışmada bu değerler sırasıyla 0,724, 22,609 ve 0,903 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, GAN'ların yüksek kaliteli sanal boyama görüntülerini elde etme potansiyelini ortaya koyarak, kapsamlı veri kümelerine olan ihtiyacı azaltmaktadır ve böylece dijital patoloji için verimlilik ve tekrar edilebilirliği artırmaktadır.Virtual staining of medical images is an essential approach in digital pathology. Traditional tissue staining is a time-consuming, specialized, and intensive process where staining varies from expert to expert. By using a deep learning approach, virtual staining improves image quality and reduces the costs associated with manual staining. In this study, we investigate the application of a deep neural network based on the Conditional Generative Adversarial Network (cGAN) for virtual staining of unstained whole slide images (WSI-Whole Slide Images) to Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) stained image pairs. Using a publicly available dataset, we compare our results with a reference work using a larger dataset. Using only seven WSIs, our approach performs competitively in terms of Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC) compared to the reference work using 68 WSIs. In addition, in our study, the hybrid loss function we proposed in the training process of the adversarial generative network was used to evaluate synthetic and real images. The average SSIM, PSNR, and PCC values obtained in our study are 0.668, 21.487, and 0.872, respectively, while in the reference study, these values are 0.724, 22.609, and 0.903, respectively. The results demonstrate the potential of GANs to acquire high-quality virtual staining images, reducing the need for extensive datasets and thus increasing efficiency and reproducibility for digital pathology
Actions Against Capital Market Law on Social Media and Access Blocking Due to These Actions
Sermaye piyasasında en önemli aktör olan yatırımcıların piyasaya
duyduğu güvenin korunması, sermaye piyasası ile ilgili tüm düzenlemelerin
esasını teşkil eder. Bu güvenin korunması maksadıyla kanun koyucu
güveni sarsıcı eylemleri yaptırım altına alarak adli ve idari yaptırımlar
öngörmüştür.
Son zamanlarda sosyal medya mecralarında oluşturulan gruplar
üzerinden hisse pazarlanması ile söz konusu gruplara üye olan yatırımcıların,
bu grupları yönlendiren kişiler tarafından işlenen suçlara iştiraki de
tartışma konusu olmuştur. Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu, sermaye piyasası
faaliyeti izni olmayan kişilerce yatırımcıların mağdur edildiğine işaret etmiş, yatırımcıları sosyal medya üzerinden işlenen suçlara iştirak edilmemesi
konusunda uyarmıştır.

idari para cezalarından ve erişim engelleme tedbirinden bahsedilecektir.Assuring the confidence of the investors- the most important actors
in the capital market -, is the basis for all regulations regarding the capital
market. In order to sustain this, the legislator has enacted judicial
and administrative penalties by way of sanctioning these actions which
undermine this confidence.
Recently, with the marketing of shares through groups on social
media, crimes committed by the people who lead these groups, with the
participation of the investors in these crimes, this topic has become a
matter of discussion. The Securities Exchange Commission pointed out
that investors has been harmed by people who perform unauthorised
activities in the capital market, and it warned investors not to be a participant
in social media crimes.
This paper is on the crimes (committed on social media platforms)
which are regulated under Capital Market Law No. 6362 enacted to preserve
confidence in investors and reliability of the capital market. Administrative
fines and access blocking measures for violations of Capital
Market Law will also be discussed in this paper
Okulların Mesleki Öğrenme Topluluğu Olma Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi
Purpose: The study aims to reveal the levels of schools as being a PLC regarding the opinions of teachers working at the high schools.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was carried out in accordance with the correlational survey design. Participants were selected by the stratified sampling method, which is one of the random sampling types. It consists of 385 teachers. The participants of the research are from Maltepe, Sultanbeyli, Esenler and Bakırköy districts of İstanbul during 2021-2022 academic year. To get the data, PLC Scale was used and to analyze descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance were used.
Findings: The level of being a professional learning community is at the level of "agree". When the scale’s sub-dimensions were examined, a significant difference was found between the employment type, length of service and district variables. On the basis, some suggestions are given to policy makers.
Highlights: It is important to establish an online platform that allows the expansion of the learning network. In addition, a framework plan for schools to ensure sustainability is planned. Dünyamızın gittikçe muhafazakâr bir çehre kazanacağına ilişkin bazı öngörüler olsa da günlerin
ne getireceğini, zamanın bizim için nasıl bir gelecek derlediğini bilemeyiz. Geçen asrın başlarında
da sağın yükseleceği, otoritenin geri döneceği, hatta faşizmin egemen olacağı söylenmiş, bir ara
öyle de olmuş ama sonunda çağ, liberalizmin galibiyet ilanıyla sonlanmıştı. Belki bugün de benzer
bir süreçten geçiyor, sürekli liberalizmin ötesini yoklayan, liberalizm karşıtı fikir öbeklerinden
ideolojik alaşımlar oluşturmak isteyen girişimlerle karşılaşıyoruz. En azından siyaset düşüncesindeki
eğilimler, değişip çeşitlenen araştırma gündemleri, buna dair izler taşıyorlar. Daha birkaç on yıl
öncesine kadar siyaset düşüncesi handiyse tamamen seküler içeriklerin hükümran olduğu bir alan
iken zamanla seküler fikriyatın tabanında yer alan dinî-teolojik fikir ve figürler açığa çıkartılmaya
başlandı. Bugünse doğrudan ve bütünüyle dinî-teolojik fikirlerin siyasi vizyon oluşturma imkânları

Effects of Forearm Muscle Fatigue on Classification Performance in sEMG-Based Hand Gesture Recognition
Hand gestures can be identified by using surface
electromyography (sEMG) of the upper limb, which measures the
electrical activity of skeletal muscles. Hand gesture recognition has
recently become most commonly used methods in many
applications, such as brain computer interfaces, orthosis and
prosthesis control etc. However, there are many factors affecting
this recognition in the experimental staps and muscle fatigue is one
of these factors. In this study, the effect of forearm muscle fatigue
on the performance of hand gesture recognition is investigated
using sEMG signals. Four healthy subjects perform six hand
motions (fist, hold cup, pointing, pinch, open hand, and rest
position). Signals were collected under two conditions: with and
without muscle fatigue, and the classification performance of each
condition was compared. The four statistical features, including
mean frequency, wavelength, mean absolute value, and Willison
amplitude are extracted from the sEMG signals. Three
classification algorithms have been used, which are the Random
Forest, the Support Vector Machine, and the Artificial Neural
Network. The results show that in sEMG-based classification
applications, data collection steps should be performed by
considering the fatigue levels of the muscles
A Palestinian Story by Ihsan Abd al-Quddūs “The Case Sleeps Inside the Cadillac”
İhsan Abdülkuddûs (ö. 1990) Arap edebiyatının önemli bir figürüdür. Yazmış olduğu eserlerin okur tarafından ciddi anlamda kabulü, bu engin edebiyat içinde ağır eleştiriler almış olsa da onu önemli bir yere oturtmuştur. 14 Mayıs 1948 yılında İsrail Devleti’nin kuruluşundan günümüze kadar hiçbir zaman durulmayan Filistin meselesi/davası ile ilgili olarak bu meseleyi/davayı özümseyen bazı Arap yazarların yapabildikleri tek şey, farklı türdeki eserlerinde bu durumu dile getirmek olmuştur. Bunlardan birisi de zikri geçen Mısırlı yazar İhsan Abdülkuddûs’tür. 1967 yılında cereyan eden Arap-İsrail Savaşı’nın vermiş olduğu ağır yenilgi esnasında İhsan Abdülkuddûs tarafından kaleme alınan en-Nisâ’ lehunne Esnân Beyzâ (Kadınların Beyaz Dişleri Var) adlı koleksiyonda yer alan “Dava Cadillac’ın İçinde Uyuyor” adlı hikâyede Filistin sorununun edebî açıdan temsili ve bu temsilin daha çok Ğassân üzerinden yansıtılma biçimi ortaya konmuştur. Ayrıca eserdeki karakterlerin iç dünyaları, yaşadıkları çatışmalar ve Filistin meselesine olan duygusal bağları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, yazarın “Dava Cadillac’ın İçinde Uyuyor” adlı öyküsü esas alınarak karakter analizi yapılmış ayrıca bireyin kimlik arayışı, vatan hasreti ve kişisel idealler ile dış dünyanın gerçekleri arasındaki çatışmaları incelenmiştir. Öncelikle yazar hakkında ana hatları ile bilgi verilmiş, Filistin meselesinin kısa bir değerlendirilmesi yapılmış daha sonra da hikâyenin özeti verilerek tahliline geçilmiştir. Zaman zaman da Türk edebiyatı ile bazı mukayeselerde bulunulmuştur.Ihsan Abd al-Quddūs (d.1990) is an important figure in Arabic literature. The readers' serious acceptance of his works has placed him in an important place in this vast literature, even though he has received heavy criticism. Since 1948, when the Israel was established, the Palestinian issue has never been settled, and some Arab writers express this situation in their works. One of them is the aforementioned Egyptian writer, al-Quddūs. The literary representation of the Palestinian issue in the story “The Case Sleeps Inside the Cadillac” in the collection al-Nisa lehunna Asnan Beiza written by al-Quddûs in 1967, and the way this representation is reflected through the characters, mostly Ghassan, and the inner worlds of the characters in the work, the conflicts they experience, and their emotional ties to the Palestinian issue, are discussed. In the study, the author's story is analyzed as a character study, and the individual's search for identity, homesickness, and conflicts between personal ideals and the realities of the outside world are examined. Firstly information about the author was given, a brief evaluation of the Palestinian issue was made, and then the story was summarized and analyzed. Some comparisons are made with Turkish literature
Üsküdar Electricity Factory - Nevmekan: Evaluation of The Structural System in The Context of Adaptive Reuse
Buildings in Türkiye that reflect the impact of European industrialization in the 18th century and later are now considered industrial heritage. These buildings, which are worthy of preservation, can be brought back to the city with the understanding of adaptive reuse. However, in this case, seismic loads, which pose a great risk for industrial heritage buildings, are among the important issues that need to be discussed. Therefore, the adaptive reuse of such buildings focuses on structural system design, repair, and strengthening. In evaluating the structural system, efforts are also made to establish the link between the old identities of the buildings and their present identities. In the study, the adaptive reuse process of the Üsküdar Electricity Factory (Nevmekan), an industrial heritage building located in Istanbul, is evaluated by focusing on the original architectural and structural system and the architectural and structural system design after the adaptive reuse. In the research, the survey and restoration drawings were obtained from the Üsküdar Municipality, and the original and adaptive reused structural system of the building was evaluated according to the criteria in the current earthquake code. While the Nevmekan building constitutes a positive example of social, cultural, economic, and sustainability issues with its reuse approach, the evaluation of seismic effects and their application to the building has been limited. In Türkiye, which is an earthquake zone, to preserve buildings of such high historical and industrial value and to transfer them safely to future generations, it is necessary to give importance to the improvement of the structural system in adaptive reuse projects
Forced Vibrations of an Elastic Triangular Plate Supported Around its Perimeter by a Unilateral Support Via the Chebyshev Polynomial Expansion
The present study introduces static and dynamic analysis of an elastic triangular plate on unilateral
edge supports, including forced vibrations due to loading and unloading excitation. The plate is
assumed to be subjected to a uniformly distributed load and an eccentrically applied concentrated
load. Furthermore, the loads are assumed to display dynamic variations. The governing equation
of the problem is derived by considering the static and the dynamic responses of the plate by
including inertia forces. The analytical solution is conducted by employing a series of Chebyshev
polynomials for the admissible displacement functions and using Lagrange’s equations of motion.
Having found the governing equation of the problem, an approximate numerical solution is
accomplished using an iterative process due to the non-linear properties of the unilateral edge
supports. The static behavior of the plate under a concentrated load is investigated in detail
numerically by considering a wide range of parameters of the plate geometry and the stiffness of
the support. In deriving the governing equation of the problem and in the numerical solution,
special care is taken to use nondimensional parameters. This approach ensures that the analysis
and conclusions remain valid across a wide range of parameter values. Dynamic treatment of the
problem is carried out in the time domain by assuming a stepwise time variation of the concentrated
load and by employing the constant acceleration procedure in the numerical solution of
the system of governing differential equations derived from the equation of motion. Time variations
of the displacements, the contact points, and the reactions of the plate’s support are presented
in figures for various values of the parameters of the plate, as well as those of the
supports, particularly focusing on the non-linearity of the problem due to the plate liftoff from the
unilateral support. The effects of the parameters and the loading are investigated in detail. The
results reveal that the unilateral property of the support stiffness significantly affects the static and
dynamic behavior of the triangular plate. The analysis can be extended easily to cover a general
type of loading as well. The main issues addressed in this study include: the analysis of a triangular
plate with unilateral perimeter support that does not resist tensile forces; the use of Chebyshev
polynomials as admissible functions in both directions; the consideration of static and dynamic
loads; the determination of lifting areas of the support in both cases and the assessment of the
global vertical force balance in the plate, including inertia forces in the dynamic case
Reviewing Gaslighting within the Context of Sociodemographic Factors and Personality Inclinations
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, romantik ilişkilerde bir duygusal manipülasyon türü
olan “gaslighting” ile demografik faktörler ve kişilik özelliklerinin ilişkisini inceleyen
çalışmalar hakkında geleneksel bir derleme yapmaktır. Anahtar kelimeler, (gaslighting)
AND (personality) AND (“romantic relations” OR “intimate partnership”); (gaslighting)
AND (kişilik) AND (“romantik ilişkiler” OR “yakın ilişkiler”) olarak belirlenmiş olup,
2000-2023 yılları arasında yayınlanmış araştırmalar “Science Direct”, “Google Scholar”,
“Medline”, “PubMed”, “YÖK Tez Merkezi” ve “Web of Science” veri tabanlarında
taranmıştır. Tarama sonucunda, bu derlemeye toplam 15 çalışma dâhil edilmiştir.
Sosyodemografik özelliklere ilişkin bulgular bir arada incelendiğinde, konuya ilişkin
gelecekte daha fazla araştırma yapılması önerilmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra gaslighting
uygulayan ve buna maruz kalanların cinsiyetlerinden çok, cinsiyet stereotiplerine
toplumsal olarak atfedilen güç eksenli özelliklerin gaslighting uygulama ve buna maruz
kalma ile daha yakından ilişkili olabileceği düşünülmüştür. Bahse konu olasılık dolaylı
yoldan, ilişkideki güç dengesi- gaslighting ilişkisine dair kısıtlı araştırma bulguları
ile de uyumludur. Alanyazında kişilik özellikleri ile gaslighting davranışı arasındaki
ilişkiyi inceleyen araştırmaların, Karanlık Üçlü/Dörtlü özelliklerine odaklananlar hariç, birbirlerinden farklı kişilik özelliklerine odaklandığı görülmüştür. Gelecekte genel olarak
hem mevcutta kısıtlı sayıda çalışılmış olan hem de henüz çalışılmamış olmakla birlikte
gaslighting ile ilişkili olabilecek kişilik özelliklerine odaklanan farklı araştırmaların
yapılmasının, kişilik eğilimleri-gaslighting ilişkisine dair daha kesin bir resim sunulmasını
sağlamak açısından faydalı olacağı düşünülmüştür.The main purpose of this study is to conduct a traditional review of studies
examining the relationship between “gaslighting”, a type of emotional manipulation in
romantic relationships, and demographic factors and personality traits. Key words were
determined as (gaslighting) AND (personality) AND (“romantic relations” OR “intimate
partnership”); (gaslighting) AND (kişilik) AND (“romantik ilişkiler” OR “yakın
ilişkiler”) and research published between 2000-2023 were scaned in “Science Direct”,
“Google Scholar”, “Medline”, “PubMed”, “YÖK Thesis Center” and “Web of Science”
databases. As a result of the scanning, a total of 15 studies were included in this review. It
was recommended that more research is needed to be conducted on this topic in the future
with respect to the findings regarding sociodemographic characteristics. Furthermore, it
was thought that the power-based characteristics socially attributed to gender stereotypes
might be more closely related to both the perpetration and victimization of gaslighting
rather than the actual gender of perpetrators and victims. This possibility was indirectly
compatible with the limited research findings on the relationship between power balance
and gaslighting in the relations. Moreover, it was observed that studies in the literature
examining the relationship between personality traits and gaslighting behavior focused
on different personality traits from each other, except the ones explored the Dark Triad/
Tetrad features. It was thought that it would be beneficial to conduct different studies in the
future, focusing on personality traits that were explored in the mentioned limited number
of studies and those that have not yet been studied but may be related to gaslighting,
in order to provide a more precise picture of the personality tendencies-gaslighting
relationship
