Research on Regional Brand Formation in China : The Case of “Satian Youzi” in Rongxian, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
In recent years, regional brands have been attracting attention as a
means of promoting Agriculture, forestry and fisheries and revitalizing the
region. By increasing the added value of local agricultural products, it is
possible to increase demand and raise the income of producers, and the
brands of agricultural products and processed products are recognized
outside the region, enabling the influx of tourists.
In this paper, in order to clarify the development and problems of
regional brands in China, we conducted a hearing survey of managers,
managers and local farmers of the “Satian Youzi” (a type of pomelo) brand
in Rongxian, Guangxi. Based on the survey results, we will consider future
issues for regional brands in China.departmental bulletin pape
Conscience and Sotoba Komachi
Giving serious consideration to the phenomenon of conscience has
continued from ancient times to the present day without reaching any
unified interpretation. It means, in a sense, that the concept of conscience is
inextricably linked to the times. And if that is the case, the efforts to verify
the conceptual history of conscience and to further deepen, organize, and
clarify research on the phenomenon of conscience are essentially important
efforts both for individuals and for society. The efforts accumulate the
“now” that contributes to the future and increase the certainty of resilience
toward tomorrow.
Most of the conscience theories that have been spun by various thinkers
since ancient times have taken on the appearance of a difficult struggle to
protect one of the ideals of the life morality of human beings. As a result of
all the interest in the hardiness of “I”’s morality in the subjectivity, it seems
that a certain theoretical result has been reached, but it has been released
from the actual social connection, and most of the time they have stepped
into the labyrinth. Therefore, in order to explore a new direction of
conscience theory, it is necessary to verify the validity of the fact that we
have always been interested in the hardiness or stubbornness of “I”’s
morality in the subjectivity. It is necessary to find some kind of exit that
will put an end to the stepping into the labyrinth that has been released
from the social connection.
Based on such a need, we will give an overview of the important trends of
modern times in the conceptual history of conscience and proceed with
consideration for finding a new direction for conscience theory. Specifically,
after confirming and verifying the problems of conscience theory that
become clear from the overview of the conceptual history of conscience,
we will focus on the events in Japanese history that are deeply related to
these problems. Then, we consider the complex spirituality of the art of
Noh, which has continued to exist as the spiritual undercurrent of
traditional Japanese culture.
We explore the possibility of finding the exit of the theory of conscience
through the consideration of a work of Noh, Sotoba Komachi.
We will also give attention with keen interest to the importance of the
concept of resilience in the consideration to the phenomenon of conscience
study because the concept of resilience and the phenomenon of conscience
are complementary to each other.departmental bulletin pape
Research and Study on Issues of Constructing Internship Programs for Social Welfare
In this study, a survey was conducted to clarify issues in the
construction of welfare internship programs that facilitate the promotion of
the appeal of the welfare industry to students other than social welfare
majors and the securing of human resources. A questionnaire was
conducted with the cooperation of 50 students who participated in the
internship course at the university in the Kansai area in 2021. Based on the
survey results, the following issues were identified: (1) consideration of
providing information for its program, (2) possible modification of the
contents of the welfare internship program to align it with studentsʼ
interests and concerns, (3) bridging studentsʼ understanding of welfare
work and understanding of the industry, (4) Matching the purpose of
implementation of welfare internship programs by service providers with
the purpose of participation by students, and (5) Considering various ways
of conducting welfare internship programsdepartmental bulletin pape
A Study on the Issues of Converting Consequential Complements into Possible Complements
Some result complements can be converted into possible complements,
and somecannot. At the same time, some possible complements do not
have corresponding resultant complements. The results of this paper
show that there are four factors that influence the relationship between
the resulting complement and the possible complement:
1. Whether the word that acts as a complement is grammaticalized or not.
2. The sentiments of words acting as complements.
3. The balance rule of the grammar system.
4. Polysemy of words acting as complements.departmental bulletin pape
High Quality of Support in Social Work in Communities ー An interview survey with community social workersー
In recent years, community-based welfare has been advanced as a policy, and social work
has been conducted in communities. However, discussions on the quality of support achieved
through social work are not active. This study was focused on the attainment of high quality
of social work in communities. I interviewed community social workers(CSWs)to grasp the
current situation of the practice in communities and the elements to attain a high quality of support. The results revealed that(1)CSWs work within several constraints;(2)although CSWs
are unclear about the high quality of support, they have a certain interest in it; and(3)CSWs
can be the starting point for attaining high quality of support. In the Discussion section, I highlight three points that need to be considered to achieve high quality of support, namely, considering the idea of welfare adopted by CSWs, developing goal attainment-type support methods,
and developing resources for supportdepartmental bulletin pape

Students’ English Oral Proficiency and Intercultural Interaction in a Speech Contest
Second language learners require sufficient opportunities to communicate in
the target language outside of the classroom environment in order to improve fluency. An extracurricular activity, such as a speech contest, offers a structured forum for both Japanese and international students to practice their respective second language(L2)and promote intercultural exchange. This study focuses on
outcomes of oral English proficiency and intercultural interaction patterns among
English language learners participating in a speech contest event. Self-evaluation
of oral proficiency was conducted through questionnaires, and the degree of interaction with international students in preparing for a speech contest was observed. The findings of this study showed that participants in this English-language event self-reported an improvement in English speaking skills along with
improved confidence in interacting with international students in English.departmental bulletin pape
