Exploring fully heavy scalar tetraquarks Q Q Q Q
The masses, current couplings and widths of the fully heavy scalar tetraquarks X4Q = Q Q Q Q, Q = c, b are calculated by modeling them as four-quark systems composed of axial-vector diquark and antidiquark. The masses m(') and couplings f (') of these tetraquarks are computed in the context of the QCD sum rule method by taking into account a nonperturbative term proportional to the gluon condensate (& alpha;sG2/& pi;). Results m = (6570 & PLUSMN; 55) MeV and m' = (18540 & PLUSMN; 50) MeV are used to fix kinematically allowed hidden-flavor decay channels of these states. It turns out that, the processes X4c & RARR; J/& psi; J/& psi;, X4c & RARR; & eta;c & eta;c, and X4c & RARR; & eta;c & chi;c1(1P) are possible decay modes of X4c. The partial widths of these channels are evaluated by means of the couplings gi, i = 1, 2, 3 which describe strong interactions of tetraquark X4c and mesons at relevant vertices. The couplings gi are extracted from the QCD threepoint sum rules by extrapolating corresponding form factors gi(Q 2) to the mass-shell of a final meson. The mass of the scalar tetraquark X4b is below the & eta;b & eta;b and ?(1S)?(1S) thresholds, therefore it does not fall apart to these bottomonia, but transforms to conventional particles through other mechanisms. Comparing m = (6570 & PLUSMN; 55) MeV and ?4c = (110 & PLUSMN; 21) MeV with parameters of structures observed by the LHCb, ATLAS and CMS collaborations, we interpret X4c as the resonance X(6600) reported by CMS. The development of the novel 22 X- indel multiplex system for forensic genetics
InDel (Insertions/deletion) markers have been used as an alternative, or as a complementary marker system, to STR markers in human identification due to their advantages such as low mutation rates, no stutter, and potential small amplicon sizes. In forensic sciences, sex chromosomes are widely used in forensic genetics for specific cases. For example, the relationship between father and daughter can be determined by using X-InDels. In this study, we developed a novel 22 X-InDel multiplex system that was identified by two separate assays with fluorescence amplification and capillary electrophoresis detection technology. We chose 22 X-InDel markers based on the following criteria: mean heterozygosity over 30% in Europeans; minimum of 250 Kb differences between each InDel loci; and an amplicon length that was less than 300 bp. We performed an optimization and validation study of 22 X-InDel systems under the following parameters: analytical threshold, sensitivity, precision and accuracy, stochastic threshold, repeatability, and reproducibility. We evaluated the allele frequency of this multiplex system in the Turkish population, and then the population comparisons were carried out on data from 1000 Genome populations (Europe, Africa, America, South Asia, and East Asia). The sensitivity test showed a complete genotyping profile with DNA concentrations as low as 0.5 ng. The heterozygosity ratio of 22 X-InDel loci was determined as 0.4690 and the discrimination power was defined as 0.99. THE IMPORTANCE OF SIGNALLING ENTREPRENEURIAL ORIENTATION AND RELATIONSHIP LENDING FOR SMES' BANK CREDIT ACCESS
Although SMEs matter for the development of economies, they need financing that is the main impediment to their survival. To overcome this barrier, SMEs might reduce information asymmetries between them and banks by signaling their entrepreneurial activities that are based on Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and by having frequent contact with banks in a lending relationship. In this regard, this paper purposes to find out the impacts of signaling EO and relationship lending on bank credit access of SMEs. To fulfill this aim, the researcher has applied stratified random and purposive sampling methods to create the research sample from SMEs that operate in various geographical regions of Turkey. The researcher also employs a self-administered internet-mediated questionnaire to collect data from 479 SMEs. Moreover, this paper runs Binary Logistic Regression Test to analyze the impacts of signaling EO and lending relationship on bank credit access. According to the results, trademark ownership, R&D subsidies received by SMEs and closeness of communication between SMEs and banks positively affect bank credit access of SMEs. Flipped Voltage Follower-Based Voltage Conveyors: Investigation and Possible Enhancements
Second-generation voltage conveyor structures, based on the employment of flipped voltage follower stages, are investigated and proposed in this work. The proposed core has the feature of offering extremely low or electronically adjustable input resistance and programmable outputs, enhancing the achieved design flexibility and versatility of this active cell. Development of a new generation flotation cell and monitoring of air bubbles
The flotation process allows particles and oil to separate from wastewater with high efficiency. Therefore, it is widely used in engineering and is a multidisciplinary field of study. In this study, a new generation flotation method is developed as an alternative to conventional flotation methods. Some experiments are conducted to determine the performance of this new system. It is known that the air-demand rate in the flotation process directly improves flotation performance. For this purpose, maximum aeration efficiency and bubble properties in the flotation cell supported by the newly developed head gated conduit are exam-ined. A pilot-scale flotation system is installed for the experimental study. With the help of high resolution and high-speed cameras, parameters such as air bubble density, air bubble size, dead zone volume and penetration depth are determined. In addition, the images recorded during the flotation process are examined with professional image processing techniques. Experimental results showed that the Froude number, jet plunge angle and cell water levels have a significant impact on air-demand in the new system. © 2023 The Authors
Multiplexer Optimization for Adders in Stochastic Computing

Accumulation operation can be performed in SC using a MUX unit. Cascaded structures of 2m-to-1 MUXs are used for the accumulation of multiple terms. Optimizing these designs holds significance in cases of accumulating a large number of inputs. The depth of the cascaded MUXs varies with m, affecting the hardware cost, delay, and accuracy. The proposed algorithm performs stage-wise optimization of m. The relationship between the online learning process, 21st century skills and work readiness in senior nursing students
Aim: The aim of this study was to: a) develop scales that measure nursing students' perceptions of the online learning process and the effects of this process on nursing knowledge and skills and b) explain the relationship between these scales, 21st century skills and work readiness.Background: Twenty-first century skills include learning and innovation skills, information, media and technology skills and life and career skills. These skills have come to the fore through nursing education's adoption of online education after recent global events such as the COVID-19 restrictions.Design: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study.Methods: The study was conducted with 313 senior nursing students in Turkiye. In the acquisition of research data, the study used a personal information form including socio-demographic data, the online learning process perception scale (OLPS), the online learning process nursing knowledge and skills effects scale (NKS-S), the multidimensional 21st century skills scale and the work readiness scale (WRS). The study was conducted from April to June 2021. Validity and reliability of the scales were tested using exploratory factor and confirmatory factor analysis. The relationship between the scales was shown through path analysis.Results: Both developed OLPS and NKS-S scales were found to be valid and reliable and it was proven that the model provided acceptable fit index values. According to the path analysis results, 3.6% of 21st century skills were explained by OLPS and NKS-S, while 65% of WRS was explained by OLPS, NKS-S and 21st century skills. Conclusion: Students reported that online learning increases 21st century skills and that practice based training through online platforms prepares them for work. Higher education institutions can help students learn 21st century skills through online education, ensuring their work readiness
Low-Loss Paper-Substrate Triple-Band-Frequency Reconfigurable Microstrip Antenna for Sub-7GHz Applications
In this paper, a low-cost resin-coated commercial-photo-paper substrate is used to design a printed reconfigurable multiband antenna. The two PIN diodes are used mainly to redistribute the surface current that provides reconfigurable properties to the proposed antenna. The antenna size of 40 mm x 40 mm x 0.44 mm with a partial ground, covers wireless and mobile bands ranging from 1.91 GHz to 6.75 GHz. The parametric analysis is performed to achieve optimized design parameters of the antenna. The U-shaped and C-shaped emitters are meant to function at 2.4 GHz and 5.9 GHz, respectively, while the primary emitter is designed to operate at 3.5 GHz. The proposed antenna achieved peak gain and radiation efficiency of 3.4 dBi and 90%, respectively. Simulated and measured results of the reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, gain, and efficiency show that the antenna design is in favorable agreement. A player reputation system based on belief formation among Non-Player character societies in Open-World Role-Playing games
The present work is an attempt to design and implement an artificial game environment that provides infor-mation dissemination among Non-Player Characters (NPCs) of Open-World Role-Playing Game communities. Based on the perspective that an NPC is a mobile, communicating, cooperative agent that has autonomy and learning ability, and shows socialness in its virtual environment, it was possible to experiment and observe the impacts of human player-generated events on NPCs' social learning. By means of introducing different tuneable NPC autonomy and socialness parameter values, it is ensured that information and NPC opinions about the player not only spread over the society, but they also help develop player reputation among NPCs.The defined primitives such as NPCs' self and group-model views; event valuation and reputation models; established learning, memorization, forgetting mechanisms; the introduced information exchange and update protocol; and reputation metric provided for the construction of a tuneable, scalable virtual environment that can be used to investigate the individual and social behavioural aspects of artificial NPC societies. In this virtual environment, it is shown that player's reputation converges to fixed values. This is noteworthy since it is an indicator of societal learning and belief formation through NPC communications in the game environment
