Peningkatan Kompetensi Mekatronika Bagi Guru SMK Balikpapan
Get PDFThe greater the demands to make graduates with adequate skills, qualified instructors need to be prepared, as well as possessing good skills. One of the skills that need to be possessed by vocational school teachers in the fields of electricity, electricity and automation is mechatronics. Based on needs analysis and discussion with partners, 3 (three) main problems were identified, namely: (1) Teachers still often use the lecture method, so students become passive and result in low student competency in mechatronic subjects. (2) The condition of school facilities and infrastructure is still inadequate resulting in reduced interest and motivation of students in participating in learning. (3) The use of mechatronics learning media by teachers is less than optimal resulting in students' creativity in solving problems not appearing. The survey results of this community service implementation team found that Balikpapan vocational school teachers in engineering require mechatronics skills in using the Programable Logic Controller (PLC) related to making models, designing programs and programming them according to the needs of the teaching and learning process to anticipate technological progress in the field of control . Based on the problem, a Mechatronics Competency Enhancement training for Balikpapan Vocational Students was held, regarding PLC skills. The results of the activities carried out can be drawn several conclusions, among them (1) community service activities carried out in the form of Programable Logic Controller (PLC) skills training to be able to make models, design programs and program their own PLCs according to the learning process needs, (2) This activity was carried out on July 25-27 2019 with representatives from 5 Vocational High Schools in the city of Balikpapan.

Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan serta diskusi dengan mitra, teridentifikasi 3 (tiga) permasalahan pokok, yaitu: (1) Guru masih sering menggunakan metode ceramah, sehingga siswa menjadi pasif dan mengakibatkan rendahnya kompetensi siswa pada mata pelajaran mekatronika. (2) Kondisi sarana dan prasarana sekolah masih kurang memadai mengakibatkan minat dan motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran menjadi berkurang. (3) Pemanfaatan media pembelajaran mekatronika oleh guru yang kurang maksimal mengakibatkan kreativitas siswa dalam pemecahan masalah tidak muncul. Hasil survei tim pelaksana pengabdian ini, menemukan bahwa guru-guru SMK bidang teknik kota Balikpapan membutuhkan keterampilan mekatronika dalam menggunakan Programable Logic Controller (PLC) terkait membuat model, merancang program dan memprogramnya yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses belajar mengajarnya untuk mengatisipasi kemajuan teknologi di bidang kontrol. Berdasarkan permasalahan dilaksanakan suatu pelatihan Peningkatan Kompetensi Mekatronika Bagi Siswa SMK Balikpapan, keterampilan mengenai PLC. Hasil dari kegiatan yang dilaksanakan tersebut dapat diambil beberapa kesimpulan, diataranya (1) kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan berupa pelatihan keterampilan Programable Logic Controller (PLC) agar mampu membuat model, merancang program dan memprogram sendiri PLC sesuai dengan kebutuhan proses pembelajaran, (2) kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 – 27 Juli 2019 dengan peserta perwakilan dari 5 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di kota Balikpapan.

Get PDFSpecial Needs Children in SLB Anugerah, Colomadu, Karanganyar, Central Java, are still difficult to practice how to brush teeth correctly and still lack of understanding of oral health, so that the hygiene and dental health status and mouth are still lacking. Therefore it is necessary to fix it. The purpose of this activity is to carry out one component of the Higher Education Tri Dharma that is community service. The benefits of this service are for special needs students to increase their knowledge about oral health and improve their skills in brushing their teeth properly. The dedication method is a lecture on how to maintain dental and oral health as well as the practice of brushing teeth along with the target audience, all Special Needs Children in SLB Anugerah, Colomadu, Karanganyar. A total of 52 people were present. The results of the dedication showed that 42.3% of the targets were able to practice brushing teeth with enough categories and 57.7% were still in the poor category. Meanwhile, no one has been categorized as good. The conclusion of this dedication is, the practice of brushing Special Needs Children teeth in SLB Colomadu, Karanganyar is still in the category of sufficient and insufficient so that it is necessary to follow up this service activity by involving parents at home in monitoring the maintenance of dental and oral health of Special Needs Children

Environmental conditions of the Regional General Hospital Dr. Kanujoso Djatiwibowo currently (existing) using concrete pavement (rigid pavement) where the neighborhood Road General Hospital Dr. Kanujoso Djatiwibowo is overgrown with a lot of floating vegetation / water plants found during field monitoring. From the results of observations on Jalan Lingkungan, it is also surrounded by reeds and vines so that the impression is slum and not maintained.

Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Tanaman Penjernih Udara di Lingkungan SMA/SMK/Sederajat Kecamatan Rengel dan Plumpang Kabupaten Tuban Jawa Timur
Get PDF‘The purpose of this community service program is to help and enhance environmental conservation efforts that are more effective, efficient, and targeted for schools in the karst region in creating a healthy environment free of air pollution. The problem faced by partners is the lack of school participation in the karst area to deal with the increasing dust volume in the dry season which can disrupt teaching and learning activities. Low school participation is due to a lack of student and teacher knowledge about air-purifying plants that can be planted in the school environment. The solution offered to school partners as a first step is to hold a workshop to introduce karst areas and plant species that are useful as air purifiers. The implementation of the workshops that have been carried out can increase the understanding of students and teachers about the condition of the school environment, types of air purification plants, and the use of used materials for growing media. The monitoring results show that the partner schools namely SMAN 1 Plumpang and SMAN 1 Rengel have implemented the results of the workshop, namely by planting various air purification plants by utilizing used materials as planting media so as to achieve a beautiful environment and environmental conservation in the karst school area running well.
Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu dan meningkatkan upaya konservasi lingkungan yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan terarah bagi sekolah di kawasan karst dalam mewujudkan lingkungan yang sehat bebas polusi udara. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra adalah kurangnya partisipasi sekolah di kawasan karst untuk menangani volume debu yang meningkat pada musim kemarau yang dapat mengganggu kegiatan belajar mengajar. Partisipasi sekolah yang rendah disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan siswa dan guru akan tanaman penjernih udara yang dapat ditanam di lingkungan sekolah. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mitra sekolah sebagai langkah awal yaitu dengan diadakannya workshop pengenalan kawasan karst dan jenis tanaman yang bermanfaat sebagai penjernih udara. Pelakasanaan workshop yang telah dilakukan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa-siswi dan guru mengenai kondisi lingkungan sekolah, jenis-jenis tanaman penjernih udara, dan pemanfaatan bahan bekas untuk media tanam. Hasil monitoring menunjukkan bahwa sekolah mitra yaitu SMAN 1 Rengel dan SMAN 1 Plumpang sudah menerapkan hasil workshop, yaitu dengan penanaman berbagai macam tanaman penjernih udara dengan memanfaatkan bahan bekas sebagai media tanam sehingga dapat tercapai lingkungan yang asri dan konservasi lingkungan di sekolah kawasan karst berjalan dengan baik.

The results of this activity increase the competence and knowledge of vocational schools by marked the participants are able to operate and implement modules.Tujuan kegiatan yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan siswa dengan pelatihan modul praktik berbasis Arduino dalam implementasi bidang sistem digital dan komunikasi yang memiliki perangkat multi-input dan multi-output. Masalah mitra yaitu teknologi industri 4.0 dan kompetensi guru. Masalah teknologi industri 4.0 diimplementasikan dalam modul pelatihan praktik yang berguna sebagai media pembelajaran yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk berbagai aplikasi. Masalah kompetensi guru dengan pelatihan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran sehingga mampu menciptakan dan berinovasi dalam sistem digital dan komuikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah diskusi, penjelasan, demonstrasi, latihan, dan observasi. Hasil kegiatan ini meningkatkan kompetensi dan pengetahuan sekolah vokasi dengan ditandai peserta mampu mengoprasikan dan mengimplementasikan modul.

This community service activity run well and smoothly and in accordance with the planning. Therefore, learning requires the ability of teachers to manage learning and / or their ability to manage classes. Teachers must have capable skills in the fields of strategy and learning models that vary. For this reason, it is necessary to have active, fun, creative learning, and be able to provide attraction so that students can express themselves in learning and experience no saturation, so students can understand the material well. In learning activities, one way that can be done by teachers to overcome these problems is to provide a learning that is able to optimize the logic of students' thinking in solving non-routine problems in school, namely Mathematical Logic Puzzle. Through the provision of challenge questions in the form of Mathematical Logic Puzzles, students gain knowledge and understanding of mathematical logic puzzles, gain new learning experiences, dare to express ideas and be able to answer various kinds of non-routine problems and problems of logic related to life everyday, and students are more motivated in learning mathematics.

Perbaikan Kesehatan Lingkungan Dengan Pendekatan Sanitasi Total Berbasis Masyarakat Di Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu Sumatera Selatan
Get PDFThe objectives of the program include: a) Building a public toilet that is representative of the community as an effort to implement the Community-Based Total Sanitation village in Tanjung Pura Village, Pengandonan Kabipaten Sub-District, Ogan Komering Ulu. b) Obtain program recommendations that involve community participation in hygiene behavior and form a community-based total sanitation village in Tanjung Pura Village, Pengandonan Sub-District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. As for behavior changes that occur after assistance, the behavior of treating waste Reduce, Reuse and Recyle garbage has been carried out by the community for 30 percent. Reprocessing (recycling) waste into a useful product 30 percent has been done by the community. the mentoring steps carried out as an effort to improve hiegiene behavior and build a community-based total sanitation village gave quite good results. Changes in behavior that have occurred in the community have begun to become apparent, such as changes in not disposing of garbage and defecating in rivers (STOP BABS in rivers). Changes occur at 50 percent. The community no longer disposes of garbage and defecates in the river and the location on the edge of the river has started to clear from garbage. The availability of public toilets for the community is very helpful in implementing the program. Changes that occur in the community after the provision of this public toilet is quite good. 40 percent of the people in Tanjung Pura Village, OKU Regency, have started using public toilets for BAB activities.
