Get PDFLa relación entre educación y empleo, como logro de los derechos sociales durante el siglo XX, nace de una sociedad salarial derivada de un Estado protector y, además, regulador de la función del trabajo y sus derechos. En ese marco, la relación entre educación y empleo viene determinada por la confluencia de diversas instituciones: los sistemas de educación y/o formación profesional, las empresas y los mecanismos que intervienen en la regulación del mercado de trabajo. En su interrelación, las tres sufren inevitables transformaciones; actualmente, la velocidad en los avances socioeconómicos y tecnológicos implica, sobre todo, una flexibilidad del mercado laboral.The relationship between education and employment, as an achievement of social rights during the twentieth century, arises from a wage society derived from a protective state and, in addition, regulating the role of work and their rights. Incluye macro factores (interacción, recepción y producción del lenguaje), micro factores (edad, género, aptitud, competencia estratégica, motivación y actitud, creencias y sensibilidad intercultural) y características propias de cada programa (duración de la estancia, alojamiento, oportunidades de empleo, nivel lingüístico inicial, preparación previa a la salida, fase del plan de estudios, trabajos académicos o entrevistas a la vuelta).The present study includes a literature review of relevant research on Study Abroad (SA). The first part synthesizes language learning predictors and SA program design features. En este artículo se muestra una observación realizada a un niño de seis años en un contexto familiar para evaluar su desarrollo lingüístico. Posteriormente, en la evaluación, se relacionan las evidencias lingüísticas que el niño muestra con las teorías de la adquisición y desarrollo del lenguaje. Finalmente, el artículo se cierra con unas conclusiones y recomendaciones para los padres.Observation is a key instrument for education professionals to get information about children in terms of their physical, intellectual (cognitive), language, social and emotional development. This article describes the observation of a six years old child within a family context to evaluate her linguistic development. Subsequently, the evaluation the linguistic evidences showed by the child are discussed and related with the language acquisition and development theories. Finally, conclusions and recommendations to the parents close the article
