The Executive Functions of Learning. Attention and memory in children of Infant Education
Get PDFActualmente, nuestros alumnos/as están inmersos en una vorágine de contenidos conceptuales que no dejan tiempo para desarrollar otros aspectos que tienen gran influencia en su desarrollo cognitivo. Por ello, es conveniente abordar el trabajo de las funciones ejecutivas desde edades tempranas pues, tal y como evidencian numerosas teorías neurocientíficas, es primordial su entrenamiento para alcanzar aprendizajes significativos y funcionales, así como mejoras en el rendimiento académico. Por tanto, como docentes de Educación Infantil, debemos dedicar un tiempo determinado al ejercicio, en este caso, de la atención y la memoria como funciones cognitivas fundamentales para el desarrollo integral del infante.Currently, our students are immersed in a vortex of conceptual content that leaves no time to develop other aspects that have a great influence on their cognitive development. Therefore, it is convenient to address the work of executive functions from an early age because, as evidenced by numerous neuroscientific theories, it is essential to train them to achieve meaningful and functional learning, as well as improvements in academic performance. Moreover, as teachers of Infant Education, we must invest a certain time to the exercise, in this case, of attention and memory as fundamental cognitive functions for the integral development

No full textEste Trabajo Fin de Grado incluye dos actividades desarrolladas en un aula de 6.º de Educación Primaria durante el curso académico 2014/2015 en el que estaba vigente la Ley Orgánica 2/2006, de 3 de mayo, de Educación (LOE). Dichas actividades tienen un enfoque constructivista y desarrollan la competencia en comunicación lingüística. La primera actividad, “Vuelta ciclista por España”, pretende que los alumnos conozcan el territorio español haciendo una ruta por los lugares más emblemáticos. En la segunda, “Con los cinco sentidos”, deben hacer una descripción de una imagen teniendo en cuenta las sensaciones que los alumnos perciben.This Final Degree Project includes two activities developed in a 6th grade Primary Education classroom during the 2014/2015 academic year in which the Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, of Education (LOE), was in force. These activities have a constructivist focus and develop competence in linguistic communication. The first activity, "Cycling tour through Spain", aims to get the students to know the Spanish territory by making a route through the most emblematic places.
