    Applying Friedman’s Bidding Model Towards Lowest-Bid Procurement Utilizing the Monte Carlo Simulation

    Under the lowest bid procurements, contractors find themselves in a competition in the process of contract bidding. When the rule dictates the lowest price as the contract winner, a high bid value would result in high profits but would have an unlikely chance to win the contract. A low bid would be more likely to win the contract but with lower to no profits. There are methods that solve the uncertainty of optimal bid value, such as Friedman’s model which achieves the optimal bid value using bid to cost ratios. Another method is to utilize the monte carlo simulation to model the prediction of the lowest bid for an upcoming projects. The study purpose is to find the optimal bid to cost value of the contractor based on the contractor’s past bidding records, the contractor’s true bidding cost estimate, and the opposing bidder’s bid value. Results show that the optimal bid to cost ratio for known number of bidders ranges from 1,1 for n=1 and 1,02 for n=8 in which n denotes the number of bidders. For unknown number of bidders, the value of the optimal bid to cost ratio is 1,07 with Gamma distribution and 1,08 with rayleigh distribution

    Determinan Produktivitas Tenaga Kerja di Indonesia

    Over the past 31 years, labor productivity in Indonesia has tended to decline. This decreased productivity needs attention. This study aims to examine the determinants of labor productivity in Indonesia by using indicators of capital deepening, human capital, technology, macroeconomic conditions, trade openness, and wages. Using time series data for the period 1990-2021, the model is estimated using the fully modified least squares (FMOLS) technique. The results obtained indicate that human resources are the largest determinant of labor productivity among other factors. Technology does not significantly affect labor productivity. Meanwhile, trade openness and wages negatively affect labor productivity. This research shows that policy makers need to boost digital infrastructure development in order to optimally utilize technology, increase public awareness to use more domestic products, and support pro-business policies in determining labor wages.Selama 31 tahun terakhir, produktivitas tenaga kerja di Indonesia cenderung menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji determinan produktivitas tenaga kerja di Indonesia dengan menggunakan indicator pendalaman modal, modal manusia, teknologi, kondisi ekonomi makro, keterbukaan perdagangan, dan upah. Dengan data time series periode 1990-2021, model diestimasi menggunakan teknik fully modified least squares (FMOLS). Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa sumber daya manusia merupakan determinan produktivitas tenaga kerja terbesar di antara faktor-faktor yang lainnya. Teknologi tidak secara signifikan memengaruhi produktivitas tenaga kerja. Sementara itu, keterbukaan perdagangan dan upah berpengaruh negatif terhadap produktivitas tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembuat kebijakan perlu menggenjot pembangunan infrastruktur digital agar dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara optimal, meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk lebih banyak menggunakan produk dalam negeri, serta mendukung kebijakan pro-bisnis dalam menentukan upah tenaga kerja

    Energi biomassa merupakan asset untuk transisi energi di Indonesia. Transisi energi akan terjadi dari perekonomian energi non fosil ke energi biomassa. Penelitian ini membahas tentang ketersediaan ekonomi energi biomassa di Indonesia, hambatan-hambatan yang perlu diselesaikan, serta kebijakan pemerintah terkait biomassa di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kajian pustaka dari sumber-sumber terkait yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2009-2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa energi biomassa di Indonesia memiliki potensi sebesar 146,7 ton per tahun. Dari keseluruhan energi primer, pasokan energi biomassa dikatakan sebagai pasokan terbesar kedua setelah energi minyak bumi. Energi biomassa dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai energi listrik dan gas. Untuk energi listrik biomassa saja, per tahunnya berpotensi sebesar 24,46 GW. Transisi ini ditargetkan akan terjadi sampai dengan tahun 2050

    Seleksi Provinsi Non-Kompetisi Lomba Debat Bahasa Indonesia dan National Schools Debating Championship Secara Daring

    LDBI (Lomba Debat Bahasa Indonesia) dan NSDC (National Schools Debating Championship) adalah kompetisi debat berjenjang yang telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2004. Pada tahun 2020, virus COVID-19 menyebar dan menyebabkan segala sesuatunya harus dilakukan dari rumah. Tim pengabdian beserta Puspresnas (Pusat Prestasi Nasional) mengembangkan aplikasi yang memungkinkan seleksi provinsi untuk LDBI dan NSDC dilaksanakan secara daring dan terpusat, serta melibatkan 2.000-3.000 peserta dalam rentang waktu penjurian (oleh kurang lebih 50 juri) yang relatif singkat (sekitar satu minggu). Pengabdian ini berhasil dilaksanakan secara empat tahun, dan memberikan beberapa keuntungan, seperti efisiensi waktu dan inklusivitas. Tim pengabdian juga mendapatkan berbagai pelajaran dan pengalaman berharga dalam pelaksanaan, terutama dalam menangani aplikasi yang digunakan secara massal dan dalam waktu yang singkat

    The development of the hospitality industry is strongly linked to employee performance. It is essential for every employee to achieve good performance for the hotel\u27s major goals to be met. Employee performance can be influenced by the way they communicate and is related to their motivation. On the TripAdvisor website, there have been complaints from guests regarding employee performance or services. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of communication on employee performance with the moderation of employee motivation at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. This research uses a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with the research population being all employees who work at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. Sample of 70 people was collected using the simple random sampling technique. The data was analyzed using the statistical software PLS SEM 4.0. As a result, both hypotheses are accepted. Communication influences employee performance positively, and employee motivation moderates the relationship between communication and employee performance positively. Both hypotheses result in a significant relationship. Since the relationship between communication and employee performance is quite strong, therefore, the management of Apurva Kempinski Bali is recommended to maintain its communication efforts by emphasizing two-way communication, whether verbally or in writing

    Zawiyya as a place of teaching and spreading Islam in Morocco has had quite a significant influence. An Igurramen, or zawiya leader in the Berber tribe, is able to mobilize the population around him with his religious influence. Zawiyya Ahansal as a place of Islamic teaching in the Atlas Mountains has its own challenges as a marginalized area. The Igurramen collaborated with Cloe Medina Erickson to build the Atlas Cultural Foundationto develop and empower the people around the zawiyya, especially children and women, hence this action shows the collaborative care and awareness between the saint, educator, and ecofeminist.     PENGARUH KENDARAAN DENGAN MUATAN BERLEBIH TERHADAP UMUR LAYANAN PERKERASAN PADA RUAS JALAN KLATEN–JATINOM

    Abstract   The capacity of a road pavement structure will decrease with increasing age of the road pavement and increasing traffic loads passing on the road. Apart from that, road damages can also be caused by the quality of the materials used not complying with existing specifications, inadequate soil carrying capacity, and the presence of overloaded vehicles. The aim of this research is to analyze road damage that occurs on the Klaten–Jatinom Road section, which is caused by overloaded vehicles. This study shows that at the end of the next 10 years, the Klaten–Jatinom Road section will only have a remaining service life of 0.15%. This study also shows that the damage that occurred on the Klaten–Jatinom Road section was dominated by block cracking, which is 4.53%.   Keywords: road pavement; traffic load; overload; remaining service life; road damage     Abstrak   Kemampuan suatu struktur perkerasan jalan akan mengalami penurunan dengan bertambahnya usia perkerasan jalan dan bertambahnya beban lalu lintas yang melintasi jalan tersebut. Selain itu, kerusakan pada jalan juga dapat disebabkan oleh kualitas bahan yang digunakan tidak sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang ada, daya dukung tanah yang tidak memadai, serta adanya kendaraan dengan muatan berlebih (overloading). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kerusakan jalan yang terjadi di Ruas Jalan Klaten–Jatinom, yang disebabkan oleh kendaraan-kendaraan dengan muatan berlebih. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pada akhir 10 tahun mendatang, ruas Jalan Klaten–Jatinom hanya akan mempunyai sisa umur layan sebesar 0,15%. Studi ini juga menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan yang terjadi di ruas Jalan Klaten–Jatinom didominasi oleh jenis kerusakan Retak Kotak–Kotak (Block Cracking), yaitu sebanyak 4,53%.   Kata-kata kunci: perkerasan jalan; beban lalu lintas; muatan berlebih; sisa umur layan; kerusakan jala

    Abstract   Mountain coral found in Taeno Village, Ambon, is available in abundance and has the potential to be used as a filler for asphalt concrete mixtures. This research aims to determine the potential use of filler material derived from coral rock found in Taeno Village and the effect of coral filler material on the characteristics of the asbuton wearing-course asphalt concrete mixture. This research was carried out by adding filler material, with level content of 0%, 1%, 2%, and 3%, to asbuton wearing-course asphalt concrete with 3 variations of asphalt content, namely 5.0%; 5.5%, and 6.0%. Marshall tests were, then, carried out on the specimens made from the mixture. This research shows that the coral stone filler, which comes from Taeno Village, can be used as a filler for asbuton wearing-course asphalt concrete. From the analysis carried out, it was concluded that the asphalt content of the mixture influences the level of filler that can be added to the mixture. The higher the asphalt content value in a mixture, the higher the optimum filler content that can be added to the mixture. The optimum levels of filler that can be added to mixtures made with asphalt content of 5.0%, 5.5%, and 6.0% are 1.55%, 1.63%, and 1.75%, respectively.   Keywords: asphalt concrete; filler; wearing-course; asbuton; coral filler     Abstrak   Batu karang gunung yang terdapat di Dusun Taeno, Ambon, tersedia melimpah dan berpotensi untuk digu-nakan sebagai bahan pengisi campuran beton aspal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan potensi penggunaan bahan pengisi yang berasal dari batu karang yang terdapat di Dusun Taneo dan pengaruh bahan pengisi batu karang tersebut terhadap karakteristik campuran beton aspal lapis aus Asbuton. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menambahkan bahan pengisi, dengan kadar 0%, 1%, 2%, dan 3%, kepada beton aspal lapis aus Asbuton (AC-WCAsb.) dengan 3 variasi kadar aspal, yaitu 5,0%; 5,5% dan 6,0%. Selanjutnya dilakukan pegujian Marshall terhadap benda-benda uji yang dibuat dari campuran tersebut. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan pengisi batu karang, yang berasal dari Dusun Taeno, dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengisi untuk campuran lapis beton aspal lapis aus asbuton. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, disimpulkan bahwa kadar aspal campuran berpengaruh terdapat kadar bahan pengisi yang dapat ditambahkan dalam campuran. Semakin tinggi nilai kadar aspal pada suatu campuran, semakin tinggi pula kadar bahan pengisi optimum yang dapat ditambahkan pada campuran tersebut.     Abstract   Roads are transportation infrastructure that have a very important influence on the social and economic deve-lopment of society. Therefore, roads must be maintained so that they do not get damaged quickly. Road damage can be caused by excessive traffic load, temperature, and poor road quality. Road pavement must be strong, durable, and resistant to plastic deformation. This research aims to determine the effect of adding water hya-cinth cellulose fiber on the performance of a type of asphalt mixtures, namely the Stone Matrix Asphalt, and to determine the optimum water hyacinth fiber content that can be added to the asphalt mixture. This study shows that a water hyacinth fiber content of 0.3% is the best water hyacinth fiber content that can be used in Stone Matrix Asphalt mixtures made with an Optimal Asphalt Content of 6.75%.   Keywords: road pavement; water hyacinth cellulose fiber; asphalt mixtures; Stone Matrix Asphalt     Abstrak   Jalan merupakan suatu prasarana transportasi yang mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat penting dalam pem-bangunan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat. Karena itu, jalan harus dipelihara agar tidak cepat rusak. Kerusakan jalan dapat disebabkan oleh beban lalu lintas yang berlebihan, temperatur, dan kualitas jalan yang buruk. Perke-rasan jalan harus kuat, tahan lama, dan tahan terhadap deformasi plastis yang terjadi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh penambahan serat selulosa eceng gondok terhadap kinerja campuran beraspal jenis Stone Matrix Asphalt dan menentukan nilai kadar optimum serat eceng gondok yang dapat ditambahkan pada cam-puran beraspal tersebut. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kadar serat eceng gondok 0,3% merupakan kadar serat eceng gondok terbaik yang dapat digunakan pada campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt yang dibuat dengan Kadar Aspal Optimum sebesar 6,75%.   Kata-kata kunci: perkerasan jalan; serat selulosa eceng gondok; campuran beraspal; Stone Matrix Asphal

    The Ecofeminist Perspective on The Impact of Climate Change on Women\u27s Health: Study Case of Coastal Women in Sendang Biru Hamlet, Indonesia

    Climate change poses major challenges for vulnerable groups throughout the world, especially women in coastal areas of Indonesia. Climate change presents a complex set of challenges that disproportionately impact vulnerable groups, with women often bearing the brunt of the impacts due to existing socio-cultural norms and unequal access to resources and decision-making processes. In Indonesia, coastal communities face increasing risks from rising sea levels, extreme weather events and coastal erosion caused by climate change. Women, who are often the primary caregivers and resource managers in these communities, bear a disproportionate burden of disasters caused by climate change. They experience increased vulnerability due to socio-cultural norms, limited access to resources, and limited power in making decisions. The impacts of climate change on women in Sendang Biru coastal areas are seen in various forms, including increased economic insecurity, loss of livelihoods, increased health risks, and disrupted access to health facilities. In addition, women\u27s traditional roles as natural resource managers and family caretakers make them vulnerable to environmental degradation and displacement. Integrating an ecofeminist perspective in climate change strategy and mitigation explains how coastal women are exposed to risk, experience vulnerability, face problems in access to health and safety.
