Estimasi Keandalan Sistem Mekanikal Dependen Menggunakan Fungsi Copula
This paper addresses the challenge of assessing the reliability of complex mechanical systems where components are inherently correlated in their failure modes. Traditionally, the assumption of independence among these components has been employed, but it often fails to capture the real-world complexities. To overcome this limitation, copula functions are introduced as a robust methodology for modeling the dependent relationships between correlated variables within mechanical systems. This paper aims to demonstrate the utility of copulas in estimating system reliability while accounting for these dependencies. The results reveal that the Clayton copula emerges as the most suitable model for representing dependence in such systems. Importantly, the reliability estimates obtained through copula-based methods not only reflect the complex interdependencies accurately but also align with the principles of the boundary theory of reliability. This research underscores the potential of copula-based reliability estimation as a valuable alternative, offering a more comprehensive and precise assessment of reliability in complex mechanical systems and holding significant promise for practical engineering applications. This framework allows the consideration of dependence among the observed variables that is usually overlooked in engineering practice.

Humans created screen in the rapid development of technology, and its existence has fundamentally influenced people’s daily lives. One of the things most affected is human understanding of space and time. This article elaborates Anne Friedberg’s ideas in correlation with the views of other thinkers, especially regarding the metaphysical and epistemological impacts of screen to humans’ relation to reality since the pandemic. The metaphysical aspect of the screen concerns the materiality and immateriality of the screen, as well as how the concept of presence is understood in this context. Meanwhile, the epistemological aspect of the screen focuses on issues of perception and how humans understand the world. The metaphysical and epistemological implications of virtual mobility in a world increasingly mediated by \u27screens\u27 give rise to several different perspectives that can question the Carthusian and dualistic conceptual framework of reality. Just as plurality is a fact, the mediated world is also a fact. Correcting the metaphysical ‘tradition’ that has been recognised as the most determining rationality will not be an easy effort. In the discourse of science and certainty regarding the existence of reality, perhaps it is not the literal or symbolic screen that must be reinterpreted, but the human perspective itself. A person\u27s point of view cannot be judged as wrong or right, apart from being recognised and respected as an element that forms the very rich reality. Recognising a multi-perspective reality will perhaps mark a return to amazement in the realms of science, philosophy, and life
Mempertanyakan Teodisi: Teodisi Yahudi Sesudah Auschwitz dalam Telaah Zachary Braiterman
The 20th century holocaust against Jews in Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and other concentration camps was the starting point for the change in modern Jewish theology towards contemporary theology. Contemporary Jewish theologians, rabbis, and philosophers have revisited their theodicy by critically reading scriptural texts and traditions (Midrash). The substance debated in theodicy is about God’s goodness which is in conflict with God’s omnipotence so that evil and suffering occur. The problem of Jewish theodicy after Auschwitz was studied by Zachary Braiterman by explaining the split between the hegemony of Jewish theodicy with a religious discourse and anti-theodicy with a pagan discourse. Braiterman uses a postmodern approach to map the criticism of Jewish theologians and philosophers towards the universal truth of theodicy before Auschwitz. This new discourse is useful for transforming the cultural changes of modern Jewish society from its marginal position in the text to becoming the main figure (anthropodicy). It seems that Braiterman is supporting the anti-theodicy movement to move beyond the nightmare of the holocaust in order to free the Jewish people from suffering by critically rereading texts and tradition
The Disruptive Fluidity and Ubiquity: Creativity in the World of In-betweenness
Fluidity and ubiquity are two fundamental principles of our contemporary world, representing new ways of perceiving, thinking, experiencing, organising, and creating various aspects of our present world. These principles have radically transformed models of economic exchanges, industrial production, social relations, cultural representations, and aesthetic expressions. Fluidity serves as a philosophical antithesis to the modern rigid, stratified, and binary worldview, celebrating a fluid, non-stratified, and non-binary perspective driven by dynamic flow, flux, and connectivity. On the other hand, ubiquity defines our present world of objects, which are created through augmented and mixed reality, giving them the property of being present anywhere and everywhere. Both fluidity and ubiquity serve as contemporary models for generating disruptive ideas, forms, styles, products, organisations, and systems. Fluidity represents the fluid-creative organisation of physical, social, cultural, and aesthetic elements, independent of binary structures, while ubiquity represents the transformation of objects from the virtual to the trans-material
SUPPLIER SELECTION USING AHP-TOPSIS: CASE STUDY IN TAIGERSPRUNG RESTAURANT
The Taigersprung restaurant in Yogyakarta, operating in the food and beverage industry, plans to expand after two years of establishment. To meet the needs of the new branch, the restaurant needs to increase production but faces obstacles such as fluctuating raw material prices and issues with shrimp suppliers that do not meet quality standards. The restaurant aims to add shrimp suppliers by evaluating several potential ones. The lack of a structured supplier evaluation method makes choosing the best supplier challenging for the restaurant. This research aims to identify criteria for selecting shrimp suppliers and finding the best one. Through interviews with the restaurant owner and literature studies, the research utilizes the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) methods. The research results indicate that quality criteria are the top priority in selecting shrimp suppliers, followed by price, delivery, service, and flexibility. Based on TOPSIS calculations, supplier B becomes the restaurant\u27s top priority for collaboration
Perempuan dan Kesadaran Arti Pohon: Studi Kasus Etnobotani
The issue of global warming resulting from carbon emissions of greenhouse gas is a concern for nations inthe world including Indonesia. The Indonesian government has launched several programs for mitigation, including planting trees in urban areas. In 2007, Indonesia introduced Women Planting Trees and Management, WomenPlanting Trees Movements and Food Resilience Program (GPT-PKP), and other programs. Research explored theprogram implementation in Indonesia by collecting data and analyzing women\u27s knowledge, perceptions, awareness, and actions for planting trees and their management. Surveys were conducted for data on the meaning of treessocially, economically, and environmentally. After completion surveys, the good participants were interviewed deeply and observed to prove their genuine awareness and action for planting and maintaining trees in their daily lives. Research revealed planting trees did not provide social and economic benefits. Trees taproots damaged walls and buildings, leaves made yards dirty, and lack of appreciation for being an environmentally friendly person by planting trees.

PERAN BADAN USAHA MILIK DAERAH SEBAGAI INSTRUMEN INVESTASI PEMERINTAH DAERAH: STUDI KASUS DIVESTASI SAHAM NEWMONT
The investments made by Local Governments in Regional Owned Enterprises (ROEs) have not yielded satisfactory returns. One potential investment opportunity for Local Governments is participating in the divestment of foreign shareholders in mining companies. This study analyzes the role of ROEs in divesting mining company shares, including the legality of ROE establishment, the position of ROEs in mining company divestment, and their role as investment instruments for Local Governments, using PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara as a case study. Using a normative method and analyzing secondary data descriptively, the study finds that Local Governments must ensure the administrative process of establishing ROEs complies with applicable laws and regulations. ROEs can partner with investors to address funding difficulties in foreign divestment transactions. Additionally, the priority position of Local Governments in divesting foreign shares in mining companies should provide a strong bargaining position in negotiating the establishment of ROEs and subsidiaries used as vehicles in these transactions
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MONTREAL CONVENTION IN INDONESIA’S AND AUSTRALIA’S AIR TRANSPORT LAWS ON CARRIER’S LIABILITY
The Montreal Convention of 1999 establishes the legal responsibilities of carriers on international flights and has been ratified by numerous countries, including Indonesia and Australia. However, unlike Australia, Indonesia has yet to update its laws and regulations to align with the Convention’s provisions on carrier liability. This legislative gap may result in significant losses for air transportation service users who experience damages from aircraft accidents. This research examines the extent to which the liability provisions of the Montreal Convention have been incorporated into the national legal frameworks of Indonesia and Australia. The analysis employs three methodological approaches: statutory analysis, conceptual examination, and comparative study. The findings highlight the need for Indonesia to amend its regulations on carriers’ limited liability to comply with the standards set by the Montreal Convention, considering Australia’s best practices in its legal framework
