    Barzakh and the Imaginal Realm: A Phenomenology of Postmortem Experience in Sufism

    This study examines the phenomenology of barzakh in the corpus of classical Sufism as a model of liminal postmortem experience and analyzes its implications for afterlife concepts in other religious traditions. The aim of this research is to explain how Sufi thinkers—particularly Ibn ‘Arabi, Suhrawardī, and al-Jīlī—understand barzakh not as a static space of waiting but as an imaginal realm with its own ontological structure, experienced through the imaginal consciousness of the human being. Employing a qualitative design grounded in narrative-phenomenological analysis, this study conducts an in-depth textual examination of Sufi works and interprets their imaginal narratives as manifestations of transformative consciousness. The findings reveal three main points. First, barzakh is conceived as an ontological imaginal reality in which the subtle body, liminal space, and postmortem forms manifest through al-khayāl al-muttaṣil as the medium of the soul’s experience. Second, barzakh functions as a moral mirror in which one’s deeds, intentions, and inner states become objectified into imaginal landscapes directly encountered by the soul, thereby dynamically shaping its postmortem existential environment. Third, the comparative analysis demonstrates structural parallels between the phenomenology of barzakh and intermediate-realm concepts in non-Islamic traditions—such as Bardo Thodol in Tibetan Buddhism and Olam Ha-Ba in Judaism—which similarly exhibit liminal experiential patterns involving transformations of consciousness, the subtle body, guidance by transcendent entities, and reflective imaginal spaces. This study contributes to the expansion of esoteric Sufi studies by employing a phenomenological approach that interprets barzakh as a structure of experience rather than merely a theological doctrine. Moreover, it offers a new hermeneutical framework for interreligious dialogue by highlighting shared patterns of transitional consciousness across afterlife traditions. The originality of this research lies in its integration of phenomenological analysis with comparative afterlife studies, demonstrating barzakh as a universal archetype of transformative human experience

    The Philosophy of Obedience in War: A Clausewitzian Analysis

    This study examines the moral limits of obedience in military ethics through a reinterpretation of Clausewitz’s On War, particularly regarding the relationship between a soldier’s compliance, the teleological purpose of war, and the moral agency of individuals within the chain of command. The research responds to concerns about the persistent strength of absolutist obedience doctrines in modern military institutions, which—across numerous historical cases such as My Lai and Abu Ghraib—have contributed to atrocities and the delegitimization of war. Using a qualitative method based on literature study and conceptual-critical analysis, this article analyzes Clausewitz’s texts, the doctrine of Auftragstaktik, historical investigation reports, and contemporary literature on military ethics, just war theory, and strategic leadership. The findings demonstrate three key points. First, Clausewitz views war as a political instrument directed toward teleological ends such as the restoration of order and the achievement of peace; therefore, obedience holds moral value only insofar as it supports these highest strategic purposes. Second, the analysis of the My Lai massacre and the abuses at Abu Ghraib confirms that blind obedience produces moral and strategic failure when orders are executed without rational judgment or ethical reflection. Third, integrating Clausewitz’s ideas with the principles of Auftragstaktik generates two new normative concepts—critical obedience and ethical disobedience—which position soldiers as responsible moral agents rather than mere executors of commands. These concepts offer an ethical foundation for modern military professionalism, particularly within the context of multidomain warfare and the complex frictions of contemporary conflict. Theoretically, this research contributes original insight to the field of military ethics by proposing a teleological framework that fills gaps in just war studies, professional military ethics, and character education for soldiers. This approach opens new pathways for developing military ethics curricula, reforming command doctrines, and establishing protective mechanisms for soldiers when confronted with erroneous or immoral orders

    Tulisan ini adalah respon kritis dan reflektif terhadap situasi implementasi hukum di Indonesia yang cenderung digunakan demi kepentingan politik partisan. Pancasila sebagai nilai filosofis dan ideologi negara Indonesia tentu menjadi dasar dan sumber nilai pelaksanaan hukum, namun dalam beberapa kasus yang terjadi belakangan ini, prinsip tersebut tampak terkikis. Fenomena tersebut tampak dalam hukum yang cenderung digunakan sebagai fungsi instrumentalisasi dan pragmatis untuk mengalahkan lawan politik atau juga melanggengkan dominasi kekuasaan. Fenomena tersebut berpotensi menciptakan apatisme masyarakat terhadap proses penegakan hukum sehingga kehilangan kepercayaan terhadap aparat penegak hukum. Tulisan ini dikaji dengan menggunakan pendekatan filosofis, mengkaji aspek yuridis normatif dengan analisis dan respon terhadap kebijakan dan keputusan hukum, dan pendekatan kritis dengan mempertimbangkan dimensi historis, ideologis, dan sosiologis dalam struktur hukum Indonesia Melalui studi literatur. Penelitian ini penting untuk memperluas wawasan literasi dan diskusi mengenai evaluasi ideologis dalam praktik hukum Indonesia khususnya yang berkaitan dengan nilai Pancasila.     EMPOWERING KLATEN BAMAGNAS COMMUNITY THROUGH DIGITAL MARKETING TRAINING

    To support the digital transformation program from the Ministry of Religious Af airs, BAMAGNAS in Klaten acknowledged the necessity of providing its members with the knowledge that is essential to thrive in the modern digital economy. This knowledge can be taught to their congregation afterwards, particularly in digital marketing, so that they can establish a successful and sustainable business in this digital era. This workshop aimed to teach participants about the significance of digital marketing, including online promotion, how to use promotional  media effectively, and how to create engaging content. The workshop taught participants how to use social media platforms like Shopee and Instagram and to produce visually appealing content. The training approaches used are presentations, interactive group discussions, and  practical activities for all participants. At the end of the training, results showed an improvement in participants\u27 understanding of the  necessity of digital marketing and the creation of interesting promotional content

    TOLL ROAD TARIFF AND TOLL COLLECTION INTEGRATION POLICY IN INDONESIA: ADVANCING TOWARDS AN EFFICIENT, FAIR, AND SUSTAINABLE SYSTEM

    Abstract   Toll tariff integration in Indonesia represents a significant reform in transportation policy, aimed at enhancing efficiency, equity and sustainability. This paper explores the integration process from policy, technical, to institutional perspectives, using case studies from Greater Jakarta, Greater Surabaya, and Greater Medan regions. Findings show that integration improves average travel speed (up to 9% in Greater Jakarta region), reduces toll gate congestion, and enhances logistics cost efficiency. Nevertheless, key challenges persist, including infrastructure readiness, equitable revenue sharing among operators, and public acceptance. This study recommends a phased implementation strategy, tariff simulations based on users’ Ability to Pay and Willingness to Pay, and strengthened inter-stakeholder coordination to ensure the success of toll road inte-gration policies.   Keywords: tariff integration; transportation efficiency; sustainability; Willingness to Pay; Ability to Pay     Abstrak   Integrasi tarif tol di Indonesia merupakan reformasi yang signifikan dalam kebijakan transportasi, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, kesetaraan, dan keberlanjutan. Makalah ini mengeksplorasi proses integrasi mulai dari perspektif kebijakan, teknis, hingga kelembagaan, menggunakan studi kasus di wilayah-wilayah Jabodetabek, Surabaya Raya, dan Medan Raya. Temuan yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa integrasi meningkatkan kecepatan perjalanan rata-rata (hingga 9% di Jabodetabek), mengurangi kemacetan di gerbang tol, dan meningkatkan efisiensi biaya logistik. Namun demikian, tantangan utama tetap ada, termasuk kesiapan infrastruktur, pembagian pendapatan yang adil di antara para operator, dan penerimaan publik. Studi ini merekomendasikan strategi implementasi bertahap, simulasi tarif berdasarkan Kemampuan untuk Membayar dan Kesediaan untuk Membayar pengguna, dan penguatan koordinasi antarpemangku kepentingan untuk memastikan keberhasilan kebijakan integrasi jalan tol.   Kata-kata kunci: integrasi tarif; efisiensi transportasi; keberlanjutan; Kesediaan untuk Membayar; Kemam-puan untuk Membaya

    Abstract   The Soreang area is a strategic location in Bandung Regency, with high mobility from government and office activities. This area experiences increased traffic and requires a Road Safety Audit to prevent traffic accidents. This study conducted an audit of 8 road sections in Soreang. The audit process used a Road Safety Audit form for the operational stage and compared road conditions with technical standards. This study indicates that Road Section 7 (Soreang Cipatik) has the highest potential for traffic accidents, requiring mitigation measures to reduce the potential risk of traffic accidents on this road.   Keywords: traffic; Road Safety Audit; Traffic Accidents; roads     Abstrak   Kawasan Soreang merupakan suatu kawasan yang strategis di Kabupaten Bandung, dengan mobilitas yang tinggi yang berasal dari kegiatan pemerintahan dan perkantoran. Kawasan ini mengalami peningkatan lalu lintas dan memerlukan Audit Keselamatan Jalan untuk mencegah terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas. Pada studi ini dilakukan audit terhadap 8 ruas jalan di Soreang. Proses audit dilakukan dengan menggunakan formulir Audit Keselamatan Jalan untuk tahap operasional dan membandingkan kondisi jalan dengan standar teknis.     JPL 317 Lamongan menggunakan rel bekas yang dipasang secara terbalik dalam perlintasannya, hal ini berisiko terjadinya kecelakaan. Solusi alternatifnya adalah penggunaan Concrete Level Crossing produk PT WIKA Beton yang disesuaikan dengan desain kondisi lengkung di JPL 317. Analisis  diperhitungkan dengan Finite Element Method (FEM) menggunakan aplikasi Ansys. Perhitungan passing tonage sebesar 13,342 juta ton/tahun arah hilir dan hulu, sedangkan jalan raya sebesar 154,18 juta ton/tahun. . Evaluasi SK Dirjen Hubdat 550/2005 menemukan beberapa parameter yang perlu perbaikan, termasuk gradien yang melebihi 2%, lebar perlintasan yang melebihi 7 meter per lajur, dan sudut perpotongan jalan rel kurang dari 90⁰. Mempertimbangkan beban yang diterima dan penyesuaian desain pelat beton, hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai deformasi maksimum pada pelat S1 sebesar 1,0403 mm, pelat S2 0,20457 mm, dan pelat P 0,010677 mm. Masa layan pelat beton S1 diperkirakan mengalami cracking pada 56,987 tahun, pelat S2 15,720 tahun, dan pelat P 130 hari

    Jalan Urip Sumoharjo merupakan salah satu jalan arteri yang menghubungkan Kota Semarang dengan Kabupaten Kendal. Jalan Urip Sumoharjo merupakan daerah rawan kecelakaan di Kota Semarang dimana terdapat marka jalan yang sudah pudar serta kurangnya fasilitas perlengkapan keselamatan jalan yang dipasang pada ruas jalan tersebut. Total jumlah kecelakaan selama 5 tahun terakhir dari tahun 2018-2022 sebanyak 34 kasus kecelakaan di mana daerah tersebut merupakan daerah komersil dan pusat perbelanjaan yang menyebabkan banyaknya aktivitas pada daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi dalam penataan fasilitas perlengkapan jalan sebagai upaya penanganan lokasi rawan kecelakaan di Jalan Urip Sumoharjo, Kota Semarang. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan menghubungkan hasil analisis spot speed, analisis jarak pandang henti, dan analisis kondisi fasilitas perlengkapan jalan. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut akan didapatkan upaya atau pun rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pada ruas jalan tersebut

    Pelabuhan memainkan peran penting dalam kelancaran pergerakan barang, dan modernisasi pelabuhan dengan teknologi dan sistem terkini sangat penting. Sistem Single Truck Identification Data, yang diterapkan di beberapa pelabuhan di Indonesia, merupakan contoh kemajuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan sistem informasi Single Truck Identification Data menggunakan metode PIECES (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, Service) untuk menilai kepuasan pengguna jasa. Hasil perhitungan setiap komponen menyentuh angka dalam kategori puas, meliputi peforma sebesar 4,3; informasi sebesar 4,3; ekonomi sebesar 4,4; kontrol sebesar 4,3; efisiensi sebesar 4,2; serta servis sebesar 4,3. Wawancara dengan regulator dan operator memberikan perspektif tambahan mengenai efektivitas sistem. Dapat disimpulkan penerapan STID sudah sejalan dengan tujuan awal namun diperlukan perbaikan khususnya pada proses koordinasi antara regulator, operator dan pengguna jasa

    THE INFLUENCE OF LIFESTYLE PERSONALITY FACTOR ON PURCHASING DECISIONS TO HERDI HARDCASE BANDUNG CUSTOM PRODUCTS

    Each individual certainly has different needs. This becomes the basis of consumer behavior in making purchasing decisions for the goods they need. One of them is about lifestyle. This study aims to determine whether lifestyle personality factors influence purchasing decisions, especially for Herdi Hardcase Bandung products. This study uses a descriptive quantitative research method. The sample of this study is determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, classical normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression analysis, t test, and determinant coefficient (R²) using SPSS v.26 The results of this study indicate that lifestyle personality factor has a significant effect on purchase decisions. The regression coefficient of the lifestyle variable is 26.245 and the significance is 0.003. So, the hypothesis in this research which states that lifestyle personality factor has a significant effect on the purchasing decision of Herdi Hardcase Bandung custom product is accepted
